  1. Don't care how much they charge, they've got the fastest internet in my area so I'll be a slave until a competitor comes in with something better.
  2. The internet is 100% of the reason for this.  Technologies change trends, and right now a local box store can't compete with an out of state warehouse that saves you 20%, no taxes and free shipping.
  3. It's a BS statement... how they specifically mention they consulted with advocacy groups and then decided.   Screw them, they're too wimpy to stand up to a couple of people with 12 million people standing right behind them.  I hope DD goes to another channel as soon as the contract is up.
  4. Just a heads up, received a robo-call a few minutes ago stating that verizon was giving a $35 credit and that I just needed to go to some random site myreward35.com that was obviously a phishing site.   asked for login info, and last four of the social.   Not sure what they are able to do with this information though, unless they can transfer credit or purchase things that they are selling and put them on the verizon bill.
  5. wow that was stupid, guess he found the answer to the question though.
  6. We pay it off monthly and we rack up around 100,000 points a year on it so it ends up costing us zero in interest and we get around 7 or 8 round trip flights for 100% free by using the card instead of cash.   southwest chase card is awesome
  7. Best shot I have ever seen - round falls short but bounces off the ground and lands right on target with a delayed explosion lol   http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=17a_1388052818
  8.   It doesn't transmit any card data wirelessly.  Hacking it (or more specifically, bluejacking it) would be completely useless.   Also, they won't be selling them until the PCI-DSS certification comes down, and if they pass that, they are 100% legit to go without question.  They won't get that certification if it's any more risky than a regular card
  9. Ran across this the other day and figured I would share, the idea and technology behind it is pretty cool... Especially the part about being able to disable the credit card if it goes out of bluetooth range of your cellphone.  That would save a world of headaches if your wallet gets stolen.   http://onlycoin.com   I got mine preordered just to check this thing out when they're released.
  10.   If they would go back to making coins out of precious metals that had an actual value, the whole thing would be a moot point.
  11. That's a few levels over us, we don't deal with pallets of money... Although the way things are headed, we may be grocery shopping with wheelbarrows of cash before too long.
  12. A lot comes in, but a lot goes right back out too.   My uncle used to do $60k-$100k/night in business at the track, but after all the payouts and expenses, sometimes he would end up -$10k out of pocket depending on what happened.

    Holiday menu?

Throw in some cornbread and we'll be over at noon!
  14. Problem with them is that the new band going through the middle is much thicker than the rest of the bill so you can't get the money bands to stay on tight.  The $2k bands aren't too bad, but the $10k bands slide off if you handle them a lot.

    Holiday menu?

Was in Sam's club earlier today and seen they had a 2 pound pork loin with asparagus, cranberries and sauce with slices of orange all prepared in one container.   Best idea for dinner I've seen in a while, no work involved outside of turning on the oven!
  16. They're not consistent because they don't like guns and the majority of their customers do. However, I agree with them on this because it keeps those idiots away that open carry rifles to "exercise their rights" just like they did to Starbucks.
  17. It's common for them to call drugs something that is popular at the time so if the transaction is overheard, no one pays it any attention.
  18. Silly gun owners, all you need is a rape whistle and cellphone.
  19. good lord... posted this on my FB wall and my sister says:   "Is that even possible? "

  21.   Sounds like a disclaimer on a Viagra bottle.
  22. In short:   The majority of people buying a vehicle $10k+ are going to get a loan on it.  You just list it for sale and be upfront with what is owed, they run the numbers by their lender and if it's legit, then their lender contacts your lender directly concerning payoff and almost everything is handled by the old and new lien holder.   Sell it private party, don't even consider trading it in because you'll get raped on lost value.   As for the other part on what to do with a new one... that's what you have to decide because a 2005 ford escape for $4,000 may not last as long as a $4,000 1977 ford bronco.  With used vehicles you're taking a risk - and that is why they're cheaper.
  23. +1 We should start being televised for coming out and admitting we're straight too and expect recognition.
  24. All will be fine!
  25.   And bacon flavored hellfires
