If you're buying it outright, you will be much better off to either buy private party or go to an auction. Used car lots deal with mostly auction vehicles that have a $100 clean up and 100% markup. The only time I recommend buying from a lot is if you want something that still has a factory warranty on it. <edit> seen you were looking for an SUV, I cannot speak for the V6 gas model Ford Escape, but I've got a 2009 4 cylinder hybrid for work and have put 60,000+ miles on it without a single complaint or hiccup or part that needs replaced. It still has another 20k left on the original tires and the brakes have never even had to be replaced. It's only a front wheel drive, so that's not good for any off-roading, but with traction control it goes great in the snow and gets 30mpg's and still has the acceleration of a v6 when the batteries and engine are both kicked in. You can get those things fairly cheap, and I think the v6 4wd's are much cheaper still. <edit#2> here's a 2wd model for $2900 http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/4317741106.html

NYSAFE Anti-gun activist busted for carrying a gun into school

what would've been awesome is if he had 8 rounds in the magazine as well  -
yep rugerla1, there will be zero winners in this one. If I was Zimmerman, I'd be worried shitless about being in the vicinity of the people that hang around DMX. If they have this in a gym with other people there, there's going to be a mob beat down at minimum if GZ is lucky.

technically, any unwarranted act could be labeled as negligence; that aside, accidentally speeding is just as easy as forgetting to use capitalization in a sentence.

And a lot of hard working people giving their paychecks into a system that is set up for profiteering, not safety. If they actually cared about safety, they wouldn't try to hide and pop you coming over a hill or around a corner. You see my headlights blinking, and rest assured you're headed towards a nice gentleman making sure the new city hall gets built.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBXvrVgWToM Man that is so awesome, especially when they show the absurdity of how the administration thinks a camera thwarts more terrorists than a big ass patrolled fence.

That would be great, but it would probably also knock holes in our garage walls lol

Bunch of dog people on here so figured I'd ask for an honest opinion, do any of you all have and automatic thrower? Something similar to these: http://godoggoinc.com/products/remotefetch.html http://goifetch.com There's not too many on the market so choices are limited, but we'd like to get one for our boston terrier to occupy it when we're busy and don't want to cage her up. If you've got experience with them, do they work as advertised/expected?
-
Yep, if anyone ever knew when an incident was going to occur, they could just stay home for day. Since that is impossible, gotta do the next best thing.
-
Those evil ammo hoarders! It's like they're the 1% hoarding all that money that the occupy wall street group was protesting. We should start our own group and demand that the 1% get less, and give it to us 99%'ers. hope everyone can sense the sarcasm :squint:

That's obviously not fair except to the 153 people, so we need to unpackage the rounds and sell 2 bullets per household per day.

So you want to see a picture of some of the Walmart problem?
Sam1 replied to hardknox00001's topic in General Chat
Exactly my point! There's no reason to get up in arms over people scalping some rounds. Making derogatory claims and basically harassing those scalpers isn't the technique you would use against Walmart, so why use it against the people? -

How much they mark it up is irrelevant, are you suggesting that regulators outside of the company start telling WalMart what is and is not an acceptable price the same as is being done with the bozos being crucified here? Everyone wants the rules to apply across the board, until it affects them... Same way government cuts work, everyone wants a smaller government and less services, until they start talking about scaling back the one that benefits them. -

Exactly, my guess is that half of the AR's sold last year (if not more) haven't even had a round put through them because the people were just buying them because everyone else was... They didn't actually want one outside or have any clue what to do with it in the first place. This "shortage" is a self-fulfilling prophecy -

That makes no sense if you are trying to counter my point. I'll try and simplify it in case there was any confusion: America = free market Jim Bob, Joe Bob & Billy Bob spend their day sitting at WalMart and buy up all the .22lr Mary Sue, Betty Sue & Linda Sue are now mad because they can't buy any .22lr (for whatever reason their hearts desire) Jim, Joe & Billy take those .22lr rounds and jack up the price 200% and resell them to other people looking to buy This makes Mary, Betty & Linda angry because it's not fair that other people have all the .22lr and they can't find any at the price they have deemed is reasonable, so they grab wooden pitch forks, torches and signs to go protest on Jim, Joe & Billy's front lawn. What Mary, Betty & Linda don't think about is what Jim, Joe & Billy is doing IS EXACTLY WHAT WALMART DOES Then, Mary, Betty & Linda come home from church and there's an angry mob in their front yard with wooden pitchforks and torches. The mob is shouting as loud as they can, how it was not fair that Mary, Betty & Linda bought their car from a dealership during a special sale and got it cheaper than everyone else did. Oblivious to the hypocrisy, Mary, Betty & Linda tell everyone to mind their own business and leave them alone. Hopefully that is a bit more entertaining than a rant that could be interpreted outside of its intent. -
IMHO, this ammo is more dangerous to use than anything out there right now. Not only do you have to worry about 1 single piece of shrapnel hitting an innocent, but now you've got 8 for every trigger pull. Even the video of the ballistics gel (granted we don't know the consistency of it) shows some of those flechettes flying right out of the intended target area. No thanks, if I want sh!t flying everywhere I'll use a shotgun.

We try to restrict their behavior (because it's not 'fair' or we don't like it) and in the same breath we explain how we should not be restricted in anything. Very entertaining... I said the same thing about when AR gear costs had blown through the roof last year and took advantage of that myself... Paying $15 for AR10 pmags and selling them for $100+ each... People were screaming about how ridiculously expensive everything was and that it wasn't 'fair'. The market adjusted and the manufacturers started pumping out AR's like there was no tomorrow and what happened? All of those dummies that paid $2000 for an AR are deep in the hole because now you can find them on sale for $499. This will happen with the ammo too, an idiot and his money are soon parted, then the market will be flooded with below average price goods that the smart people can run in and suck up. This is why I'm not sure why people are complaining so much, unless you're doing some competition or need 22 to get some rabbits and squirrels to feed your family, who cares? Just wait a few months because more than likely the people that are mad about not getting any ammo are just going to hoard it themselves for a later date. -
That exact thing is on our list too, we want to find a nice double stack to keep around the house.

oh, I thought expungement meant the entire slate was wiped clean and everything is kosher again... my only advice is to not take legal advice from me :)
-
I think Chip works in this arena, he would be the guy to ask and get a definitive answer. Just from my feeble mind though... can't the guy get that expunged? I would think if that happens he would then be able to.

Thanks for the clarification on that. sorry for the mishap on the title... thought Sig made it
