Way too long to read, can you post the truncated version? -
TN Candidates & the TFA questionnaire results
Sam1 replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I stand corrected at my previous statement about people not thinking it was important enough to complete. J. Durham actually took the time out to send me an email first thing this morning and scanned a copy of it in for me to review his stance, and said he simply forgot to send it in. I uploaded it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bpai36khylb4rwv/Scanned-image.pdf If this guy would take the time out of his day to scan it and email the document to me, just a random person and not a member of some political group, then I was obviously wrong by initially saying that people were avoiding it. -
Why would they put up any gun sign at all? anything outside of a gunbuster is irrelevant and it's obvious they don't want to post them up and lose the business from those of us who don't walk around stores video taping ourselves just waiting for someone to say something while we all have magpul pimped out AR's strapped on.
-
They just want those retards to stop using their business as a place to push an agenda with guns strapped on their backs. Next time one of those wannabe youtube activists says they're just exercising their constitutional rights, ask them how many times a day they refer to their mothers, wives and daughters as a whore or #### [c-word] while they exercise their constitutional right to free speech.

Have to look at it in a more specific manner and not just from the macro perspective. Hersh described it best, but again to add on to what he is saying, even an in-network provider can charge more than the negotiated rate now. Right now BCBS will pay all but I think it is $150 copay on my hip surgery - without regard to how much the hospital wants to charge, or how much the negotiated price is. Say just for the sake of this discussion, Vandy wants to charge $85,000 for parts & labor on the deal. The negotiated cost for being an in-network provider with BCBS says it is $40,000. I pay my $150, Vandy adjusts the rest. Now with reference pricing that same situation can go to $150 on my copay, $85,000 from Vandy and parts & labor reference priced now at $35,000 (because other surgery centers can do it for this amount) and the negotiated limit is still $40,000. I am now in the hole for $5,150 (the difference between the reference price and negotiated rate + copay) if I want Vandy to do it even though they are an in-network provider. And that extra $5,000 does not count towards any annual deductibles. However, if I am willing to go to "Budget Surgeries 'R Us" and they only charge $35,000, then I am only on the hook for $150. It nearly decimates the purpose of having an in and out of network cost schedule, and places everyone in the out of network provider structure.

TN Candidates & the TFA questionnaire results

Easy way to fix that, just send a short email to the rep asking them. I just shot one to Jeremy Durham with questions and he replied back within 3 minutes saying that he had not returned it yet. Also put an inquiry in on Jack Johnson (partial answers) maybe a response by tomorrow. Point is the questionnaire isn't a be all end all report... it just gives us some dialog to use for contacting them, and to remind them there are a lot of gun owners in this state that are very interested on these topics. <edit> before I could finish this John Harris emailed and said they wouldn't update any of the report without extenuating circumstances causing the delay: Anyways, point is, it takes a couple of minutes to contact them and start asking. They haven't seen any strong input/inquiries form the public for the entire 4 years I've lived in TN. It's usually just people talking on the internet about how so and so sucks -

or could be that they were avoiding it altogether so they can bend whichever way the wind needs them to so they can grab onto some power. TFA has a pretty big presence, the fact that their staff or they would disregard it says a lot. -
List of all state legislative candidates and their responses to the TFA questionnaire. Surprised that some actually had the balls to vote yes across the board and not squirm around. http://www.tennesseefirearms.org/news/item/7-2014-candidate-survey-results

That is a great discovery, as they said in the video, imagine being able to harness this for use in developing countries that can't afford xray machines. -
Just out of curiosity

check the vendor forum, there's two right in front of you

it should be mandatory that if you sport the gun buster sign, you should also have to have a pro rape whistle sticker too.

Holy smokes that's a $9,000,000,000 lawsuit! oh and how convenient the guy has the same name as one of the acorn cofounders. - different people, same name Also looks like "Bob" is paying himself $136k out of the organization; out of a total yearly revenue of $653,043.... and the big kicker? $647,177 of that money is from government grants. So basically we are paying this guy's salary with our tax money so he can turn around and sue a private organization for billions of dollars.

Are these organic rocks? if so it's a great deal

Alex Jones' head is about to spin off his shoulders! He'll be able to milk that report for 12 months... Now if we could just find a story about the fed needing to build some refugee camps in the near future :panic:

here's some information on how you could guesstimate penetration on different materials: http://asmrb.pbworks.com/w/page/9958925/Pulp%20Armor%20Penetration Basically for every 8mm of RHA that you caliber will penetrate, it would be comparable to 510mm of dirt. So according to this site: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbwiki/index.php/Ammunition_Data a .50 Ball round would travel through 21mm (0.826") of RHA or 1312mm (51") of dirt. As always YMMV, but that chart is pretty close to what we used in the military.

This looks very cool, would love to see it in person http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=792_1403453549

Did Everything Weapons in Franklin sell me a used gun as new?

Too much trouble looking for smudges and handling marks, i just look for dirt and scratches on the working surfaces. -
If Redskins is a derogatory term, and the government has a right or "responsibility" to step in, then we need to get a kickstarter campaign started to fund my wife's case on suing Little Debbie over the use of the derogatory word "Brownies" Stupid people have NO clue what they opened the door to.

same principle, just a different application I'd like to get the whitepaper on this, sounds very interesting.
