  1. Commercial long term leases are often amended or changed to suit the parties changing needs. I would look into making amicable changes if you need them. If they are not willing to make those changes then you are stuck with the current signed agreement assuming you have a written lease. If you have no written lease then you better get to packing your stuff if they want you gone. Your oral or handshake agreements will not do you any good in a court of law.
  2. All of the posts have interesting points and fortunately I feel a pretty good about my plan as long as I can get out of town about 20 minutes to our family farm which has a well and a spring fed pond. We already have some large food plots for deer that are edible for us as well. The pond has been stocked with a variety of fish. There is limited access by road and we would not have to worry about the vast majority of the population knowing where we were. The neighbors are life long residents of the area and have livestock and horses although we do not know them well I think we would all be like minded during a disaster. My fear would be not being able to get there or being separated from my family (Wife and two kids) when disaster strikes. We have a plan, but my Wife does not take it as seriously as I do. I have an ATV, dirtbike, etc...but I need to travel with atleast 4 people minimum so that leaves only 1 alternative that is capable which is my Jeep and it is slow and not very well protected from the elements (I do not own a top). I suppose the thing to do would be to wait out the first wave of people leaving and regroup at home. Pack everything we need to survive the journey (supplies for three days to cover 20 miles) and then head out in that direction. The highways are small lesser traveled routes and no interstates so that would work in our favor. There are alternate routes but not without going out of the way a couple of miles. Anyways this thread gives me a lot to think about, but, I think I am way ahead of the average person that I come in contact with day to day which does give me a little peace of mind.
  3. Where are you hunting? Is it around Shawnee National Forest? My buddy has a cabin up that way and over the last 5 years it has really become a popular hunting destination. I used to carry when we were up that way, but now I unload and lock it away when we hit Paducah, Ky. It sucks royally but it is better than dealing with the legal repercussions.
  4. Remington 597's are pretty inexpensive plinkers....but they do like the high velocity ammo. I put a Simmons .22 mag scope on mine and it has been a lot of fun so far.

    Need a plumer!

If it is not leaking just shove some washers under the side that wobbles. Its not the right way, but I have done it with success. Just loosen the bolts a little, insert washers and push them far enough back where they are flush with the edge of the toilet. Tighten the flange bolts down gingerly then caulk around the gap to hide the washers and no one will know the difference.
  6. I would not define myself as religious or spiritual...however...I am a Christian and I do have a special personal relationship with God. I enjoy the word of God and the history behind it all. I enjoy bible study with good friends and the fellowship that surrounds that time. I often fall of the path and sin as we all do, but I try to live my life in a way that would honor my God, Family, and Friends. I am not a pusher of religion or a certain faith but will quickly tell you my beliefs and how my life has been affected by the lord.
  7. I just bought a Marlin 336A at Dicks about two weeks ago. I wish I could have predicted the future availability. I would have preferred to by a good used one. They did have a sale price and rebate to $329 which I thought was a good buy for a new gun. The good news is that I did not expect to like it as much as I do. I ordered a low profile peep sight from skinner sights (which I highly recommend by the way) and was putting 6 inch groups at 100 yds without a bench rest. I will pick up a scout style rail from Xs sights and a leupold scout scope eventually but it is good to go right now. I am going to pick up an extra barrel or two for my winchester and call it good for now. Hunter.
  8. He is not drunk.....he is a pill popper.
  9. You may not want your safe that close to your a/c register. The heated and cooled air may cause condensation. It may not be a problem, but just thought I would throw that out there.

    Titans

tickets to the remaining games should be cheap.
  11. The deer will probably be fine but the rabbits and birds will be the ones to suffer. Dicks has an entry level electronic call with remote that you can set up to bring the yotes in if you wanna have a look at your problem. I think it is about $50 and has 4 sounds to choose from. They will typically come in fast but will be very cautious of their surroundings. If they scent you they will high tail it back in the brush. They will also learn that that electronic call means human scent so I suggest supplementing with a mouth call as well to break up up the sound.

    Duracoat??

    Moly Resin > Duracoat
  13. I have been looking for one locally in 270 or 308 if anyone knows of any in stock in the middle tennessee area. They have a great following and are inexpensive to boot.
  14. Ha! I have been busted.
  15. I learned how to form kydex in my garage by trial and error mostly. I order most of my materials through knifekits.com. I wrote a short tutorial on another website and I will see if I can find it. Go Here : Make your own kydex holster! - DefensiveCarry Concealed Carry Forum
  16. Another +1 for the MTAC and I just made this one for my OWB needs:
  17. So I have made a couple inside the waistband rigs, but wanted to try my hand at an outside the waistband option. This is what I came up with: It works pretty well but I will probably begin version 2.0 very soon for my Rock Island 1911. The things I will change is to shorten up the kydex a bit closer to muzzle and to add a sweat or body guard. Comments and suggestions are welcome!
  18. The townsend and wears valley area is a little less traveled and offers some awesome one bedroom cabins. I cant think of the place we stayed, but i will check with the wifey and let you know.
  19. A bamboo grove will provide all the privacy you need. It grows quickly and tall enough to provide for grade changes in properties.
  20. You are the duck hunting nazi......
  21. Ever look into Crossfit? They use kettle's quite a bit as well as other Olympic and gymnast type lifts and activities.

    CZ RAMI vs G26

Glock 26 and my opinion why..... - reliability - aftermarket support (parts, holsters, etc...) - finish (the glock finish is superior and will need less TLC then the CZ) - warranty I saw on Gunbroker that Phil at Bellshire Hardware in Nashville had a brand new g26 for under $500 bones.

    mole killing?!

I have gotten four of the them this year and dog has gotten one. The secret to my success is the victor spike traps over their tunnel. Here are the basics: 1. Locate a tunnel that is being traveled by smashing a small section and noting if it is rebuilt within 24 hours. (use flags to mark areas that you are testing) 2. Place trap over said tunnel and wait. 3. When your trap is sprung (spikes down in the ground) take a shovel and dig out and under your trap to recover the offending mole. 4. Replace topsoil and repeat. Prior to this method I used herbicide to kill worms and grubs, but that did not work. I also tried the mole away pellets and liquids, which are all caster oil. My neighbors on all sides have them but I do not. Last but not least, check out this website below: Moleman (specifically the mole control section) Happy Mole Hunting!
  24. I am very interested......let me know if the date changes. It does not make much of a difference to me as I am pretty flexible. Hunter.
  25. After a little reading and much debate I think the best choice would be a good gun with a combination of barrel's. I will probably save for the Beretta 391 which seems to have a good following, but is pretty pricey. Or....an inexpensive slug gun like the H&R USH with an inexpensive low magnification scope and essentially a turkey gun in 12 Ga. to go with it and several chokes and a variety of ammunition to test to my liking? Who knows....I think the more I look into it the more I think a 30/30 for coyote and deer and a dedicated turkey gun would fit my needs as well. I have always wanted a lever action anyways......I cant decide!
