  1. Anyone know where the Norris Creek Gun range in Fayetteville is located? I know it is on Mimosa Rd but just looking for more detailed directions.
  2. Just to let other 845 owners know: I found what I hope is a good holster for the PT 845, also fits any 800 series gun. Sold by http://itacdefense.com/home.aspx Made by http://www.imidefense.com/Products/P...1360.html#look
  3. Parrothead, I've already have a Fobus paddle that fits one of the glocks, but it is only passive retentive. I'm looking for something with a better retentive system. But thanks anyway.
  4. Yes, I've seen that page, but I can't find anyone on the net that carries it plus it is a passive retention using friction. But thanks anyway.
  5. I'm looking for a retention holster for a PT 845. Anyone know of any? I've heard stories that holsters for a Baretta Storm PX4 and PT 845 are the same. Is this true? Thanks
  6. I used the same scanner at the Lincoln County Sheriff's dept 4 years ago.
  7. I thought that I had read where you could (not in your neighbors yard or such) clean out three feet across the line to put up a new fence. In other words, cut trees and brush three feet across the line. This is a fence where there is woods/grown up trash plants on his side and pasture on mine.
  8. Maybe someone here can help me out, if so, thank you. I've got three horses and neighbor has 20+ cows. His bull keeps tearing down the fence between us. Does anyone know of the law that I can make him pay for half of a new fence. I found it at one time and even bookmarked it, but the link is now dead. Thanks again, Darrell
  9. I'll second Brian Rutledge, great guy.
  10. sorry double post. I guess I'm still to excited to think straight.
  11. The rifle is a Winchester Model 70, ranger edition, 270 cal. It came with iron sights with a hood over the front sight. I took the sights off. Ammo was factory Federal Premium 130 grain balastic tip. Shot him at about 35-40 yards. I hit him about 2-3 inches farther back than I would have liked but he only ran about 40 yards. The intrance wound is about 2 inches across in the rib cage. I had to wait 20 years of hunting to get the chance at a deer like this and I know the odds are against me ever getting another chance like this. Thanks everyone for the comments.
  12. I didn't even decide to go hunting until about 3:00 Sat afternoon. I threw on my hunting clothes, jumped in the truck and headed out. After about a 10 minute drive, I got to where we park and what do I see but three mutts. They took off across the field I was going to hunt. Not going to a productive afternoon or so I thought. By the time I walked all of 150 yards to the shooting house, it's about 3:45. After getting situated and a good book in hand I heard something coming up out of the hollow to my left. Look up and see cows moving my way, GREAT I thought. I decide to hang in there until the cows were up to the top of the hill then call it a day. About 5 minutes later I hear something coming up out of the hollow on my right, thinking it was more cows I take a glance. By God, this was the biggest deer I have ever personally seen on foot. The time between me seeing him and and shooting was 30 seconds, 1 minute tops. He piled up about 30 yards from where he was hit and only about 60 yards from the shooting house. It took me at least 30 minutes to calm down enouph to climb down without falling. This is absoultly my deer of a lifetime. 6" brow tines 11" G-2s 10" G-3s 3" G-4s, the shorter of the two 23-24" main beams 17" inside spread Great mass 1" kicker points on both G-2s 200 plus pounds live weight 23" neck Sorry for being so long, but this is the one I've waited my whole life for.
  13. Anyone know the hours of the show in Smyrna this weekend?
  14. After reading the paper last night, I was wondering when or if a public forum would be held. Doesn't surprize me at all. Keep us informed.
  15. Howdy, from Fayetteville also. You staying dry?
  16. I'm going to Tunica, MS in a couple of weeks and was wondering about carrying in the casinos/hotels?
  17. Just got the new Taurus PT 845 SS. I've put about 50 rounds thru it and it is a sweet shooting gun. The only problem is, since it's such a new model, I'm having trouble find a fitted holster for it. Anyone else have one yet or found a holster for it?
