  1. I stand corrected, starting immediately if you take the http://www.huntercourse.com online course, there is NO field day requirement for ages 9 and up. I just spoke to Trina in Nashville, Region 2 and she confirmed this. http://www.hunter-ed.com in in the process of updating to the new (or lack of) requirement. NRA is in the process of creating a FREE online course. She did say it takes up to two weeks to get your card in the mail and to be put into the system.
  2. TWRA has not waived the in class portion if under 21, still have to attend a TWRA Field Day. They have waived the live fire portion of all classes. You can purchase an apprentice license (hunter education exemption) up to 3 times which allows anybody to buy a hunting license and hunt without Hunters education.
  3. FYI Per the Hunting and Trapping guide: Use or possession of the following equipment is prohibited: Any electronic light amplifying night vision scope, thermal imaging device, or similar devices while in possession of a firearm or archery tackle between sunset and sunrise.
  4. Does anyone know where the extra money goes? I know part of the money I pay for my NRA tag goes to youth shooting sports.
  5. It's called 22 sensitive, and a 22 will make it go boom.
  6. Yep, the Henry's are super nice, but I consider them eye candy.  I wouldn't want to shoot them in fear of scratching them.  The 10-22 is something that he might take out of the safe and go shoot.
  7. I'm looking for a Ruger 10-22 Boy Scout edition if enyone happens to come across one.  My son will be earning His Eagle rank within the next few months.
  8. This was announced in Feb 2014.  They have since moved and are up and running in Huntsville/Madison.  I work just around the corner from their building.
  9. Welcome from a fellow Fayetteville'ian.
  10. Fyi, the mag with the extension, is actually for a Colt Mustang.  It works, but has an extra long extension when compaired with a factory mag with extension.
  11. Anyone receive their badges yet?   Anyone else volunteering?
  12. Looking for out of the way joints to eat at.  Wanting to stay away from the chain restaurants.
  13. I don't think they are up and running yet in Huntsville.  There are only about 40-50 cars in their parking lot daily.  I drive by it twice a day.
  14. It's a bit more the 10 miles south the the stateline.  Right at 30 miles, I drive by the old Chrylser building everyday on my way to Boeing.  But still true, many Tennesseans could work there.
  15. I've got a OWB Triple K holster for the GP100 that I realy like.  Qualit,y fit, and function are all very good.
