First of all, welcome to TGO. I think you will find most people here to be very friendly and helpful. The S&W E Series is a nice piece. You should also check out the Ruger SR1911 witch is also made right here in the USA. I if can alway shoot before you buy!

Do you know when it will be back up? I found a Ruger SR1911 today and paid for it but can't take it home 'till they run the background check.

I found one today!!!! here in Knoxville. I was at the store when a truck arrived, the guy that works there said there was one on the truck and I handed him my ID and a credit card before they could get it in the store.

I took both mags apart cleaned them well and switched the springs. I'll get back to the range in a couple days. We'll see what happens.

Thanks for all the help!! I'm going to change mag spings first, if that doesn't take care of it I'll try something else. I'll let you all know how this turns out.
