  1. Link is broken I think, try this one. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-22478310
  2. Welcome aboard. Have you noticed anyone else open carry in your area? There are only two ways to do it and I don't really care for a tucked in shirt. Mine stays covered.
  3. I'm looking for kydex IWB. I am on the hunt for something for my G23 OWB/IWB. You can PM me on what you might be able to do.
  4. Sitting at 10 weeks. not excited about this one any longer. I picked up a Blade-tech for my M&P and like it. Might be picking one up for my G23 also.
  5. Welcome
  6. Thanks for the info.
  7. Called this morning. Pretty much got a "that's just how they wanted it". So no real answer. Maybe glock55 will get someone that's more interested in answering the question instead of passing out a cheap answer.
  8. Was at Kings last week. Guy in there told me they drove to Georgia somewhere to pick up ammo and bring it back. I only go in now and hang a right to look at the Tac side. Little high on firearms, especially on the used stuff, which 75% of there inventory.
  9. 23 is 4/12/13 26 is 3/23/12
  10. The test fire brass in the case. Edit: maybe not a born date, but ship date. Which probably is close to manufactured date.
  11. Seems the other way around on these two Red.  The 26 recoil spring is still a bit tougher than the plastic one on the 23. Might replace that.
  12. Picked up a 26 last year. Monday I picked up a 23. Both Gen 3's, the 26 was born early last year and the 23 was born 4/12 this year. Noticed the 23 slide is more of a flat, smooth black, where as the 26 has some texture (not RTF) to it. Any answer to this riddle, or is that one of those "That's how Glock does it" type situations? Best picture I could get also.
  13. At this point I do prefer the the Glock trigger, reset hasn't been the issue between the two manufacturers. After spending a few minutes with the 23 yesterday, the Smith seems to have a longer pull before it breaks. Scratched that itch, now to find grips for my Mark I, then I'm done for a long while. I hope.
  14. Came home with a Glock 23, gen 3. Had itch for a new handgun for the last few months.  The shop didn't have the Ruger in stock today, but did have the 23.  Now what to due with my M&P40 full size?  It was the first handgun I purchased myself back in 2007 but after getting a G26 last year, I'm thinking I might have to let her go(like the Glock trigger better).

    Beer on Sundays

I thought it was that they couldn't sell it until noon. Guess things changed.
  16. Not much for commenting on political stuff, but when I hit the link, two NRA ads showed up along side the story. Ironic.
  17. SATS in Franklin, TN. Good people, took mine there. http://smallarmstrainingschool.com/index.html
  18. Been here 7 years and still not used it. Have to self medicate to get thru the big ones. Stinks. We were in this house in 2005. Spring 06 got me new gutters, new siding on two sides, new window and new roof(shingles). Not too far from the house now.
  19. Ridiculous. Pretty slick that he transferred his firearms. Sucks none the less. MOVE OUTTA THERE!
  20. Welcome to TGO Jeesi! I am slowly getting outnumbered by spouses that enjoy to shoot. Enjoy the site. I'll leave out the caliber debate. Best thing to do is find somewhere to handle and shoot a few like Lagerhead and sigrug mentioned.
  21. Welcome aboard.
  22. Wow. Just ran out of material on that one or stamped too much. I've be reading about the QC on Shields since they have been released, most have been sub par. What amazes me too is the store actually sold this. But it shouldn't have left S&W in the first place.
  23. Wonder how many manufactures retooled for this.
  24. The aluminum bar stock that runs the live bolts was a little off. Straightened that and a little lube, smooth once again.
