  1. Finally found the Lead Away. This is calming to me. Cleaning and polishing. This is the first pass.
  2. Said in an earlier post "going Ruger". Looks like I'm going Raoul's route and get a 1911 and convert it down the line. The 1911 in 45ACP is the only thing left I want in the safe that I don't currently have.
  3. Preface this by saying this is not an ad. Is there such a thing? Got a new one recently and not sure how to price the old one. *Not selling in this post admins.* Already searched the eBay and Craig's list too. No luck.
  4. I've got a Sentry with an electronic lock. Mine was getting stuck opening and closing. Took the back off the door and did some adjusting. The locking bolts were a little skewed. Had to make adjustments to the bar (aluminum) that runs the entire length that attaches to the live bolts. Few screws and the door cover drops. Little adjusting helped a ton. A little grease helped too. Open that thing up and run the lock to see where the bind is, it's a lot cheaper than a safe person. If you need pics PM me with an email address and I'll peel mine open to show you if needed.
  5. Aspect is probrably off. Without HD, use the "Just" setting or similar. Adjusts to fit the screen. You might have it on "zoom". Click around on other channels too. Before I got my cable box, I did find some OTA HD channels without an antenna.
  6. She likes it too, but can sit through a whole game.
  7. Real football is right. Last few years I've given up on NFL. Way too much chest pounding for me anymore. Yep, you tackled someone, get your ego blasted self back on the line. Show offs are getting into college but not nearly as bad. 6 hours tonight, see how the wife handles it, again.
  8. Your tempting me to get one made for my 686 in my profile pic. I won't carry the monster, but it would be nice to have something laying around to carry in the future. The one you made for my G23 had gotten some smiles too. Looks good.
  9. Learned about slide bite from my G26 the hard way. It is a bit on the rugged side as well. Front strap and mag finish is rough, but no a mark on the slide. I'm guessing on how to date this, but seems to be around the same age as my 686 wheel gun. When dad bought stuff, he did it in quantity sometimes. This was his travel/vacation piece, lived in the shaving kit as I remember when I was a young-en.  Will see how she functions in a few weeks. Range time is about here.
  10. Just got done with the tear down and cleaning. Amazed it still shot when my brother had it, much less chamber a round. Gunk everywhere. Trigger pull is still around 10. Don't own a gauge, but it's way more then my 686 in DA for sure. SA will break easier for sure.
  11. Welcome
  12. Picked up my dad's last firearm. My brother doesn't care much for handguns. While I was visiting last week he gave me his FEG, Mod.PMK-380. Surely there is a few folks on here that can leave some info on it. It has a steel frame and a blued slide. Haven't pulled it apart yet, but I sure hope the trigger pull drops a few pounds once I get in there for a cleaning. Enjoy
  13. Need to figure out how to block her channel on my cable box. Puts my wife in a trance. Yak
  14. Preface this by the "I'm not an expert" thing, but I am okay at figuring out issues with HVAC. Symptoms sound like there is an air gap in the unit on the inside of the house. Could be drawing outside air into the system. HVAC should be closed loop system. Seems like your bringing in outside air from some place. I had a skunk fog something outside one night which recycled into the house. Next day I went to the attic a found a small leak in my unit, patched that real quick. 3M makes a good HVAC tape.
  15. Welcome to TGO
  16. Johnson does make a good leather holster.
  17. I had a Blade-Tech Eclipse OWB, since have sold my M&P, and it was great. Held it tight too. Found one in a shop for $63. http://shop.blade-tech.com/eclipse-holster-c-1_23_26.html#.UfkmoNKsjEI
  18. Welcome
  19. Welcome aboard. Search for Wally walk or whatever it is on here, there are a few threads already on here about it.
  20. Welcome
  21. Top right of the post, should be an "Unfollow".

    Wasps!

I got hit with a wasp about a month ago. Flew up my shirt in the struggle.  It's a different feeling for sure.
  23. I was looking for the remnants of a mole. Stupid me. I am fighting with one at the moment.  :bat:
  24. I won't likely be setting up the shoot as I'm not a member. I do however have two Glocks, 23 and 26, I don't mind letting you try out.
  25. Welcome neighbor. Met a few TGO'ers out a CHMR this past weekend for a rifle shoot. Might set one up later in the year. Hopefully for handguns or rimfire so I can contribute. Lots of reloaders on here as well.
