  1. Same boat. I've got them all over the place downstairs in drawers. I only use two now. Might be able to snap a picture later.
  2. I normally tinker with AV and TV, but when it goes back in the bag, it hits Auto. Wife just wants to point and shoot. I'll mess with AV more tomorrow.
  3. No and dunno. The manual is missing at the moment. I believe it does. Think I'm going to try the 1.8 first. Messed with it this afternoon on P setting and ran the ISO up to 1600 for fun. Pictures came out alright. Need to look at them on my TV to really see how they turned out. Nice having an SD slot on the 50".
  4. I don't have any tweaking software. If the picture looks bad on that 2.5" screen then I'll retake it. I've tried the basic editing stuff that's in Picasa, but I normally am okay with what I shoot.
  5. I've a Cannon Rebel XS with the standard Cannon 18-55 lens and have for ever. I take pictures everywhere mainly of my kids indoors and out. Dealt with it too long now. Either the flash kills it or if I use no flash the color is off. Messed with ISO, but these are kids were talking here. One is almost 5 and the other is 5 months. Doesn't take long for either to flinch. Not sure if I should go with a Macro or different route. I know enough how to use it (mostly) to get a good picture out it, just not on the smarts with lens choices. New camera is not an option right now either. Like to stay around or under $200. Thanks in advance, John
  6. 200 rounds already? I've got around 250 thru my 26 (my everyday carry) in two years. Two kids under 5 years old has eaten my range time up. Congrats
  7. Think I found it. Not to steal the thunder from Dustbuster of course. Looks like a Hubsan X4 H107L. Fast little bugger. Looks like fun.
  8. Welcome roadman. xjsnake speaks the truth. Nashville Armory has seen a lot of my money in the short time they have been open.
  9. Hopefully it stays south. I'm ready for this to be over so I can eat something. Living here in Spring Hill for almost 9 years and I still get a little nervous.
  10. +4 Had a holster made from him. Good work.
  11. I leave it in the truck when I head into daycare. It's not posted but I'd like my kids to keep going there. Other than that it's on when I leave the house. In the house I normally have one within a few paces.
  12. Welcome aboard
  13. I've found my S&W 686 a great stress reliever. Run a few 38 special through it then hang on for the 357 mag. Enjoy the new flame thrower.
  14. Sale is back on. Curious if the Remington 1911($476 after $75 rebate) is a solid choice over the Para.

    Other hobby

I'll add. Used to collect Scotty Cameron putters until I got shown the door in a rather large layoff back in early 2009. Having my son at daycare part time with a traveling wife and now a 4 month old I'm pretty much a stay at home dad. From the left 2006 Circa 62, No 3. Grip in original plastic. Has never seen a golf course. 2006 Circa 62, No 1, Sales Sample with leather grip. One of 100 made. Has never seen a golf course either. 2001/02 ProPlatinum Newport 2, current flat stick On the right, just a cheap Ping that a roll fairly well. Middle top in the bag with the brown headcover, the ever elusive 2008 Button Back Newport 2, 1 of 4000 Missing from the older picture I also have a fine example of the Titleist Bullseye with the original graphite shaft. Various headcovers tossed in also that I have picked up.
  16. Double tap on the phone, sorry.
  17. I went a few years ago. Carried most places. Only place I didn't was the zoo and aquarium. Kept it secured in the vehicle vs the hotel on those jaunts.
  18. http://www.guns.com/2014/04/08/u-s-navys-32-megajoule-rail-gun-one-step-closer-blue-water-video/ They are using the same technology as is used in the Aircraft Carrier CVN78. I dabbled in some of the design work for the Launch and Recovery systems for this boat a few years ago. Electromagnets can be wicked.
  19. Transfer fee?
  20. What place are you at Tanker? I have a Winchester 1866 second model I'd like more info on. Had it appraised but always want more background on it. Didn't know my father had it until it was left to me in his Will.
  21. Passed by it a couple of times. Online prices differ from the shop? Seem a little steep on the website.
  22. Congrats, still looking for my first 1911. Well I found it, just haven't figured out how to pay for it.

    drunk driving

Last time I needed the police on that road, THP showed up in a few minutes. It was at the stop light at Thompson Station Church. Long response time no matter what the hour though. Not sure how they prioritize calls or who responds.
  24. Anyone pick up a transfer yet?
  25. Dunno Swim. Remington 165/180grn and MPro7 for lube. The 23 is put up until I can get back to the range with it.
