jhc77 replied to MacGyver's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Hey MacGyver, title has the 16th and not 6th. I’ve not seen this light before but the S Mini SS might be ordered. -

7 pin and blue circle where at 20 yards with and without a bag with a Marlin 81DL with factory scope. Slathering of other 22LR holes are a Ruger MKIII 22/45 at various distances. Larger holes are all 9mm, again at various distances, from 5yd to 20. Pretty sloppy 9mm by my standards. Pic isn't working apparently. I'll try later. -
Welcome

Not to detract from your beautiful firearm @maroonandwhite but I haven't put mine out there much. I've always wanted a 336 but have no real purpose for one. It would not see full use and to fancy for a range piece. A Henry in 22LR or the Big Boy in 38/357 is a bucket list item personally. When it's time it will hopefully be custom obviously to get a round barrel to match the old man 1866.

I think we are the only two that own one of these FN's. Someone on TGO has the compact version also I think.

I can see this slipping through. Having spent 29 years in that area I can see it being overlooked. One of the largest if not largest concentration of military personnel in the US. I agree with Garufa also.

What to do with your eclipse glasses (seriously)

My local optometrist is collecting them too for the same reasons. -
Dad lives in around the corner not too far south(15 minutes maybe).

Antique. Uniden Bearcat BC60XLT-1.

That's hit or miss. I've used it in 37174 and my old neighborhood in Va and it doesn't pick up everything available. Even Nashville is missing some. I've got 4 channels plugged in my scanner local to Spring Hill and it won't shut off. I had to mute Williamson Co Sheriff cause there traffic is non stop. Radioreference.com is a good site to get frequencies.

I'd be in. I'm out most of the second week but up for 7th, 21st or 28th.

I do not. I foolishly sold my double barrel 20ga about 9 years ago. Not quite sure if that was my first from dad or the Remington 870 that I do still own. Either way I'm still missing the 20 I sold. Didn't think I would ever shoot it again and brain was a little washy then too. I do still own a 22 single shot that dad and his sister learned on.

I've had mine a year or so and it's how you describe. Finding any holster I liked seemed problematic but has been fixed. The grip texture starts wearing on me after about the sixth magazine though. Spot on with the Glock comparison. I posted a picture on here comparing the G23 and the FNS 9. It probably faded away when Photobucket changed things up. For me this firearm fits everything I am after.

This is my set up too with a normal lens in the other. Not sure on the severity of my astigmatism but I'm wearing this in one eye and they have done fine too.

Welcome to TN. Nashville Armory should hold you over until you settle in.

The revolver pieces are very nice. If I didn't already have one of yours for my 686 I'd be after one of those.

Welcome aboard.

Adding that one expensive firearm to the collection...
jhc77 replied to Ramjo's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
My collection and firearm bug got started unfortunately when my father passed just shy of 10 years ago. I've not looked into older guns since I aquired my dads. A shocker to the family was the 1866 "Golden Boy" second model made in 1869 according to the serial. No one knows how it ended up with him. Other goods were a S&W 686 no dash 6" from 1982 and a Ruger MKI from 1976 I believe. Not had funds to even think about adding anything the last few years. -
+1 on the Maglula Uplula. If I know I'm heading to the range I'll load everything up beforehand so I'm not clicking time while in the range. I normally go to a place that's by the hour. I'll dump 10 magazines then reload. Saves my thumbs on harder mag followers. Like monkey said price won't change more than a few on either side of $30 anywhere. Well worth it.

Bravo! My little girl is only 3 and hasn't seen much if any dyed hair out in public around town. I'll be in the same boat probably one day. How do schools take the alternative hair colors these days? Can't believe my son is done for the year today.

Took a few clicks to get a "bump" on my ads. I don't list many things so this is still trial and mostly error for me these days.
