Crap! I was so busy at work this week I forgot! Saw the first two in theater. Will have to catch it on the flip flop.

It would be nice if they shipped faster...but that means more employees, which means more cost. I believe they have struck the right balance.

Hope to pick one up this weekend. I dried fired one at Bud's, and I agree, its a much better trigger! Its really as light as I would want on a pocket gun.

I wonder if there was any one in it? Or could it have been some in it that did the shooting?!

Has Norris improved? I used to be a member back in the Mid-90's. It was the wild west out there. I don't think I ever ran into dishonest types...but routinely would go down range to hang targets, then turn around to someone fiddling with their rifle with it pointed in my general direction. I know they renovated it and it is much nicer now...but I used to be leery about going out there alone. Again, not because I thought someone would fool with my gun while i was down range, but because they would fool with theirs! That and it seemed like there would always be a group of new shooters who would constantly muzzle-sweep the entire firing line. I have had good luck with the RO's at John Sevier. There was a dork out there once demanding to see my tax stamp for a suppressor I was running. I just told him I had already showed it to the TWRA officer in the office, hence my having an orange range tag. He backed off after that, but seemed ripe about it.

It is only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sats and Suns...and it is closed the first weekend of each month. it is a nice range though. I have always enjoyed myself there. It is only $6 for 2 hours I think.

Put me on the list as well.

More than once I have thought something was wrong with my rifle, only to have someone else show me it wasn't the rifle at all! Hopefully you are the problem...that is really cheap to fix...fun too!

Were you shooting off a sandbag, or even a bench? Where you shooting standing up? No shame in not being a great shot...it definitely takes practice and technique. It doesn't take much to really fling rounds around badly.

The title of the thread had me really confused...thought it had to do with gay marriage or something -
I heard on the radio her brother has also been indicted, and maybe a 3rd person...is that true?

Or Davey Allison, Neil Bonnet, or Alan Kulwicki.

If the post-86 ban were repealed....
atlas3025 replied to quietmike's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Many of the guns listed in this thread can be had now. The key to the post-86 piece is that guns made after 1986 could be had with a stamp. Thompsons, ARs, AKs, MP5s, M2s...it's the stuff that didn't exist before 86 that would open up. Though the price on the pre-86 would drop...I think. -

HK UMP 45 FNH P90 Those two would sate me for quite a while. -
If JMB were with us...don't you think he would be wondering why we are still dicking around with a 100 year old design? He would have moved to polymer by now...hell, he may have a polymer BARREL by now. Sorry for derail!

The pictured suppressor is a 9mm K-baffle can made by a local company called Long Range Precision. It runs a gem-tech booster. I ran 50 rounds through it on the VP9. All ammo was Fiocchi 147 Gr FMJ's. I also ran another 50 of the same ammo through a YHM Cobra M2 .45 can on the pistol. No malfs of any-kind. So far I have put about 330 rounds total through it (including the 100 suppressed) without a malf. Not a big sample size, obviously. Of all the ammo shot through the gun, 30 rounds were Hornady Critical Duty 135 +p. The rest was PMC Bronce, 115 FMJs. Again, those were all un-suppressed using the stock barrel. Only the Fiocchi 147's have been ran through the suppressors.

Mag extension is a Taylor Freelance +5. It's the p30 model (same mag). No problem so far, but only run one mag dump with it at this point. The threaded barrels are through hkparts.net. They are aftermarket, which is fine with me because I don't want a poly barrel for my suppressor. I'd rather shoot lead bullets.

If they made one in 10mm, I would dump my G20 in a hot minute. No knock on Glocks, if you like the Glock grip, then the advantages of the VP9 will be minor for you. If you don't like a Glock grip, then the VP9 is a HUGE upgrade for $50 over a new G19/17. Plus it has nightsights. There was a shop on Slickguns selling them for $575 the other day. I suspect they will settle in about $550-560 when the hype dies down. I paid $600 for mine, but it was worth it to have it early. Its gotten out of hand from there!

Discuss... http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-10.html I am uninformed in the AR-10 home build game. I assume their prices will come down. What would a bargain be?
-
Ok...yeah, mine looked nothing like that. It was shaped normally...just made of cast iron. Did he say he bought it straight from PSA? Or was it just assembled from PSA parts by someone else who may have put the junk he found in his drawer in it?
-
Mine was not. I have only ever bought CMV, Premium, and CHF components or uppers from them. The upper I bought that had the bad BCG was a CMV M4 Upper (non-blem). But I have bought those before and not seen an BCG like this. I believe that for uppers the following is true: CMV = mil-spec, chrome-lined barrel (non FN) /Carp 158 MPI BCG Premium = mil-spec, chrome-lined, FN barrel / Carp 158 MPI-HPT BCG CHF = mil-spec, chrome-lined, Cold Hammer Forged FN barrel / Carp 158 MPI-HPT BCG I think just the PTAC stuff would have a PTAC BCG. I am not sure about the "Freedom" series.
