I found an awesome barbershop I'd like to recommend

I think to be a lumbersexual you have to tight-roll your skinny jeans. -
Sorry, they look the same. Actually, this one can be wired too, or use the bluetooth, or daisy chain several together. They sound great either way, but via Bluetooth they actually sound better than wired. They play for hours on a charge as well. http://www.amazon.com/JBL-Micro-Wireless-Ultra-Portable-Connectivity/dp/B009AYLDSU/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1418092893&sr=8-5&keywords=JVC+bluetooth+speaker HA! When I went to find the correct link, there is a note on amazon saying I bought it Dec 8th, 2013. A year ago today.

I got my wife one of these last year for Christmas. it is awesome. Unbelievable that a speaker so small could get so loud and yet still play very clearly, with a full range of sound. http://www.amazon.com/JBL-Micro-II-Ultra-Portable-Black/dp/B0096T7TQE/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1418007820&sr=8-6&keywords=JVC+bluetooth+speaker

Correction: bus 57 was coming from Sunnyview and was rolled, 44 was on its way to Sunnyview from Chilhowee, but had only a few children on it. Bus 57 was packed.

I am not sure about newer ones, but I had a Raging Bull in the late 90's that was awesome! Locked up very tightly, shot very good groups, and really solid feeling. I traded it because of ammo availability, but I shot a lot through it in the 10 years or so that I had it.

My wife is a teacher at Sunnyview, the school from which Bus 44 was coming, and the one with at least 2 of the fatalities. They are a very close-knit bunch with some great teachers. My wife and other teachers/staff from there are at UT Hospital now and were at Children's Hospital earlier to visit and comfort the children. There are some children still in pretty bad shape as I understand it. Prayers for the victims and their families.

And there is this. Tough to beat. A complete mil spec gun for under $475 when you factor in a lower. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/psa-16-m4-cmv-rifle-kit.html

I don't think you will be able to buy a complete rifle with comparable quality anywhere near the price you can build a palmetto state. When looking at Palmetto Uppers and kits, Look for Premium or Cold Hammer Forged (CHF) in the descriptions. Even the CMV uppers are Chrome Lined Mil-spec, they just aren't made by FN...but are still excellent. Try to avoid PTAC and Freedom. I am sure they are fine, but it is worth paying a little more for the CMV, Premium, or CHF. The CHF are regarded as the highest quality, then Premium, then CMV. But again, any of them will be very good. For parts kits, The Classic and Premium are the upper tier. A few months ago, you could build get a CHF complete M4 Kit and Lower for less than $600 shipped/FFL/xfer. They haven't run as many CHF deals lately, but still run Premium and CMV all the time. You should be able to get a fully milspec gun with the bolt assist and dust cover for less than $550. And don't hesitate to pick up their blemished items. If they actually are blemished, I'd be surprised if you could find the problem. They just called them blemished so they can undercut their own normal pricing. There is nothing wrong with an Anderson Lower, but if you are going to build it, you won't pay any more to build it on a PSA blem lower, and then at least the gun is all matching. Good luck!

Will sandpaper actually do it? Or does the dremmel come into play?

Glad it worked out. Do tell about the Geissele fix?

I just got a shipping notification on my LBK, Zybysco...hopefullys yours is coming soon too.
-
Gotcha, they will get them to you. I think they must have had a run on lower parts. I ordered a 16" Upper and Lower Build Kit 3 weeks ago. Had the upper in less than a week, but still waiting on the parts kit.
-
You will get your parts. I have waited weeks before, actually, more often than not it is weeks. Palmetto is not a great place for the impatient. But I have ordered more than 30 times from them and never have they failed to fulfill the order. The one time I had a problem with what they shipped me (ugly BCG) they sent me a new one no questions asked. As always, Cheap, Fast, and Good. You can have 2 of the 3, but not all of them. Palmetto is Cheap and Good. Daniel Defense is Good and Fast. I am not interested in Cheap and Fast.

Got back out to the range with it again. I was hoping for a little better, but pretty happy overall. I think a trigger replacement would do it some good. This was with Fed GMM 175 SMKs. I had a couple more targets that were very close to these, but these were the best. EDIT: @100 yards, both groups are 5 shots, with no cooling in between, 3rd and 4th five shot strings of the day. On the left target, its hard to tell but the hole closest to the "1" is actually two.

Yeah, it's 12.5 inches at rest.

Thanks for the heads up. Sorry yours was the wrong one. I guess there were growing pains. I checked, and thankfully I had the long one. Have you asked to see if they will replace your buffer tube and bolt carrier?

Wow! That's crazy...its right side up on my machine. I guess it must appear that way to others too. Weird! It is a medium profile...about .750 the whole way. I don't know what the equivalent in an AR15 would be. It is not a pencil, and it is not an HBAR, or even an M4 profile. It is the same under the rail as it is at the muzzle.

Lol, that's the floor...it is laying on it.

I...what? I'm not following.

A while back PSA ran a deal on an AR10 and AR15 Stripped lower for $170ish. About the same time they ran an 18" Melonite Rifle Kit with MI 15" Float Rail for $699 so I jumped. A week later they emailed me to tell me that they were having some delay with their melonite 18" barrels, so offered to cancel the order, or build the same spec upper with a stainless barrel and throw in 3 G3 308 PMAGS. I took the offer. I ordered on Sept 27th and received the kit on Oct 16th. I got it out to the range for a few shots on Friday to sight it in. I only had 10 M80 rounds, and 5 GMM 168 SMKs with me, but maanged a 7 shot 2 inch group with the M80, and a 5 shot 1.5 inch group with the SMK's. I was shooting off a bipod at 100 yards. I think I can tighten up a bit with a sandbag. Maybe can get 1.25 with the SMK's consistently. I did have a stove pipe about 5 rounds in on the m80. The gun is a little stiff, but is loosening up, so hopefully no more stove pipes. The trigger is the standard PSA classic. I polished the contact surfaces a little bit, which helped a lot, but it is still a little too heavy, but not gritty at all. Anyway, the fit and finish are GREAT! I have a really nice looking AR-10 for less than $850 (with three mags!) I had the harris bipod laying around, and replaced the standard M4 Stock and grip with an ACS-L and MOE+ grip I picked up on Saturday. the scope is a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10X44 that I used to run on my SCAR. I am pretty happy with this thing. I hope to wring it out a bit in the coming weeks if I can get away from work. The guns is fairly light. The MI rail PSA uses is a lot lighter than the MI rails I have used in the past. There are a lot of gripes about PSA Customer Service. Yeah they ship slow, and they are hard to get in touch with, but they have always stood behind their products and the offer to "make it right" was much appreciated. The stainless barrel is a decent upgrade, and the 3 mags is a $55 toss in. It's worth waiting for smoking deals. As I have said before, if they hired a bunch more Customer Service and Shipping folks, they'd have to raise their prices.

I went from LC9 to LC9s and am thrilled. Night and day. I really couldn't shoot the hammer fired gun even acceptably well. I mean no matter how much I practiced, even dry firing with a laser, I would shoot 2 feet low at 10 yards. No problem hitting bulls-eyes with the 9S.

Ditto on what Eray said. The ones that sell new for less than $50 are garbage. The actual sight mechanism is wobbly. You can find used milspec ones from time to time at shows and on ebay for $25 or so. If it has forge markings on it, then it should be GTG. The cheap Chinese ones do not have the forge markings.

The part that worries me is that it has access to "a new people"...new environment, whathaveyou, I believe the chance of mutation goes up significantly when it gets out of its "bed". In its current state...its not the threat people make it out to be. However, it is more likely to mutate now into something possibly worse than imagined. I am currently more worried about the "island" the Cassini probe has been monitoring on Titan.

Doesn't a barrel direct the gas and noise forward in the absence of a break? I have been contemplating something like this for a short barrel 300blk...but wonder if it does anything beyond the absence of a muzzle device. I have also looked at the KAK Flash Can, which is just an Aluminum version of the Noveske KX3. After reading reviews, it seems to be pretty durable. http://www.ebay.com/itm/191258171864?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&var=490386433546&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
