Well, there are some things you will want to bypass. I recommending avoiding the "Cheaper Than Dirt" booth. Man, that booth-worker looked very lonely at the 2013 show.
-
If you are into that kind of thing, there is an app called "NRA Meeting" for smart phone. It has all the vendors, booth numbers, schedules, etc. You can make a "favorites" list of all the vendors you want to see. It is fairly handy.

Lol, yeah, 550 seems smallish, but many of them will be hundreds of square feet each!
-
Concentrate your effort on comfortable shoes  I doubt this show will be as big as Houston, just because it was right after Sandy Hook in 2013, and this one is the same weekend as both Knob Creek AND the big Tulsa gun show. But if it is even close to Houston in terms of vendors, you will have to sprint to see everything.

When I went tot he Houston Show in 2013, I found there was no need to take a bag. Within 10 minutes I had several bags from various sponsors. By the end of the first day, my wife had probably picked up 20+ bags, with enough bottle openers, pens, pins, stickers, and other baubles to fill a boat load of Christmas stockings. Voodoo tactical had a really nice messenger type bag. You don't need to take a bag.

March 2015, I will never forget and never want to repeat.

Got a two-fer a moment ago!

Not the traditional way to use an ax to clear a couple of acres. Actually, I guess it didn't clear them. Not sure who to blame that on...the victim tensed up (understandably) and you can see the block tipping away from Teach even before the axe landed. Teach short armed too, though.

Yet another boring suppressor thread.....
atlas3025 replied to Caster's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
One nice thing about the YHM QD System is that there is a company that makes a QD brake shield that will replace the suppressor to give it a "Flaming Pig Effect. So if you are running a short barrel gun and don't want to use the suppressor, the shield will push the blast forward. They are pricey, but neat. They do one for AAC qd's too, but the AAC version requires a set screw. They make them in 5.56 or 7.62 Lengths. http://www.weaponoutfitters.com/ar15-components/upper-receiver/barrel-process/sss-qd-brake-shield-yhm-mounts-5-56.html -
I wasn't sure it was fake until I got the part with the NRA spokesperson. I've never heard of Roy McNeil.

They work well...very solid...you will like it.

I used to have the same gun Steelharp pictured but with the 8" barrel. It wasn't pleasant, but it wasn't awful either. I think I usually shot the 300 Grain magtech load. I suspect the short barrel was brutal.
-
P30 Mags do work just fine in a VP9. I have 2.

I think you can only link to pictures, at least in some forums.

They are a different breed. Incredible trigger pull and extremely accurate. Mine has converted a few Glock lovers already. I suspect we will be seeing more variants over the next couple of years.

lol, avoid RIP...just because you don't want to be "that guy". I have run all sorts though mine with no problem. For quietness, I have used Fiocchi, Remington, Winchester, American Eagle, and Prvi all in 147 or 158 grain FMJ's and all have run great. I have heard before that the 158's may actually be 357 bullets, but they are not advertised as such. Having said that, I haven't had any problem with them either.
-
It doesn't get good reviews over there, but I have run at least 300 rounds of it through an AR and a Bolt gun and not had any failures.
-
The cheapest 300 BLK I have found is Fiocchi. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/fiocchi-300-aac-blackout-150-grain-fmj-ammo-50-rounds?a=1742950 If you catch coupons and have a Sportsman's Guide account, you can get it for around $30/50 rounds. There may be cheaper, but the stuff has run very well for me.

I have one of the very first 1/2 x 28 threaded barrels offered by HKParts.net last fall. I dropped in the barrel and it ran like a champ on a 9mm can. No need to change anything else. My point of impact did shift to the left a tad, about 2 inches at 10 yards, but groups were still very good. The can is a k-baffle style made by a local shop, and yes, I have beat it up a little. The booster is GemTech.

Would you SBR a Palmetto lower?
atlas3025 replied to maroonandwhite's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I have heard from a fairly good number of respectable people that if they are trying to sell their house and not getting offers, they will raise the asking price. It seems to work pretty often. -

Well, if you spend more on some other lower, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you paid more than you needed to. That makes some people feel good. -
Yeah, I am not sure why I need one over an LC9s...the LC9 had a HORRIBLE trigger, but the LC9s is wonderful, and I think it is smaller than the new glock, certainly it is less expensive.
-
What range do the military versions have? 60 feet or so? I saw one at knob creek years ago...it was fairly substantial...and highly effective against fiberglass boats.
-
I should have gotten the dealer's name. The show was so packed that day I didn't really want to stop traffic to get into a discussion, but kinda wish I did.

The single action is the way to go. If you get multiple bees in range, fan that thing. And I shot my wife in the foot at ~6 feet last year while tracking one, she just slapped me. She had forgotten about it by the next beer.
