  1. Miracle always brings the tears.  Especially considering the one of the subjects of the movie was killed in a car crash during filming.  Major League is great too...not so much the sequels.
  2. Lol, there is no way this is a dream sequence.  The only way out is for one side to run out of ammo.  The previews for the next episode (though it didn't show anything but the shootout) had Skyler on the phone trying to reach Walt IIRC and she was indicating he hadn't been seen/heard for a while.   Hank made his "last" call to Marie right before the shootout.    I suspect Hank and Walt go missing, Marie calls Skyler because she hasn't heard from Hank, and Skyler tries to reach Walt.  I am not saying Hank goes down in the next episode, but I think he goes missing...evidently along with Walt.  I think Jesse is safe next episode...I don't know about Gomez, but I sure hope he makes it out of this alive.
  3. One of the brilliant complexities of Walt is that he is screaming to stop the shootout.  He still doesn't want harm to come to Hank, or even Jesse (yeah, yeah, I know...but you heard what he said).  Walt has admitted to himself that he has wronged all those he cared about at this point.    I now think the flash forward with the pig is for use on the Skin-Heads/Lydia.
  4. The ending last night...Christ.   Does Walt have the pig to use against the skin-heads?   How did they they get an AA-12?
  5. A 100 ton, fusion-powered, walking tank.

  7. She isn't the best looking, but Kimberly Guilfoyle is my fav.
  8. Sportman's guide has been selling 62 gr PMC XTAC for ~$0.39 a round this week.
  9. Well it really took me a long time to get to the range with the new scope. WAY too much time at work this summer, but the OT helped pay for this rig, so I can't complain. I finally made it out on Sunday for a bit. The scope worked great! I was shooting two different loads, both factory. One was Federal Gold Medal Match 175 SMKs in 308, and the other was Winchester 7.62 NATO M80 (147 gr). The point of impact was very different for the two loads. I had zeroed for 200 yards previously for a 175gr hand-load, and was happy to see the Federal 175 load hit about 2 inches high at one hundred yards, though it was off to the right about an inch. The M80 was hitting 6 inches high at 100 yards, and a couple of inches left. I was very surprised to see a POI THAT different. I would have expected 3 inches high or so, but not 6…also striking several inches to the left of the 175’s was odd, I thought. I alternated 4 shots of each load and after firing a couple of groups, adjusted the scope back and forth between the two POI’s for each load respectively. I was able to make the same number of clicks several times, back and forth and return to zero for either load each time. The glass on the scope was very good (though it was a very sunny day). The reticle illumination was very bright, even in bright sunlight. But the best thing was that the scope would hold zero and was repeatable click after click. 10 clicks appeared to equal about 3.5 inches at 100 yards, and as I mentioned before it returned to zero on each change. It really doesn’t matter how expensive a scope is, or what features it has, if it won’t hold zero and the clicks aren’t repeatable, its junk. Of course I didn’t beat it around a lot or abuse it, so I don’t know how much punishment it will take, and I hope never to find out. Shooting off a grip pod, I thought the grouping with the Fed 175 SMK’s was really good. I wish I had some sandbags to really hold it down, but was pleased overall. My best group is attached below. My average group was just under one inch. The worst on the 175’s was 1.25. The M80’s were not so good. The best I could do with them was about 1.5 with an average closer to 2, but the worst being just over 2.

    AR 7.62x39

Yeah that is the typical complaint. This is the mag well that MGI makes that let's you use standard AK mags. https://www.mgi-military.com/store/index.php?product_id=28&type=&category=9 . Of course you have to get the modular trigger pack you that is another $99 on top of the $275 for the mag well. You might be able to find a used set up on gunbroker if you really like the platform but can't get your setup to run. Good luck!
  11. The varget 168 load will have no empty space. Are you sure the brass is 308 and not 762 NATO?

    AR 7.62x39

MGI makes a modified mag well for their AR lower that let's you use AK mags. I think that is the way to go for one of these.
  13. It's going to be a Scarface ending. Gilligan has said as much. For me it is the best show I have ever been invested in, and I am 40. In regards to boobies, watch the pilot on the DvD. There were definitely naked boobies. The cougar Jesse was sleeping with when he climbed out the window shows them boldly, but it was unnecessary. It says a lot that the show is so highly regarded and there are no "sexy" people in it and no "f" bombs.
  14. I get you Tanker.  At least as far as the blood and gore go, I don't know that the SFX existed in 93 to do the battle Justice.  If you will recall, Saving Private Ryan was heralded as the first movie to really "show it like it was".  A lot of new FX were created by/for SPR that didn't exist before.  Plus the budget for SPR was montrous compared for Gettysburg.  I can't blame Shaara for trying to do it as much justice as he could.  I agree with you about Burn's, but there was a very good sense of persective and scope in Gettysburg, bad beards notwithstanding.    I typically don't care all that much for Stephen Lang, but I agree he was the star of both.
  15.   http://www.hark.com/clips/xyszblvlsz-see-you-in-hell-johnny-reb   See ya in hell Billy Yank.  See ya in hell Johnny Reb.   That always tears me up a bit.
  16. Too much rain is worse.  Assuming you have access to a water hose.
  17. Williard,   For the record, my point was they would have called it a "hate crime" if it were the other way around, regardless of the facts.    Personally, I believe either all assaults are hate crimes, or none of them are.    EDIT:  I should really fix typos before I hit post.
  18.   That movie is called "Downfall" I believe (unless it has a different name in other countries).
  19.   A lurker friend of mine on this board lost a few weeks of his life watching Russion Dash Cam videos (I think he has moved into maritime disasters now).  He did some research on the very same question as your own.  It turns out there is a lot of corruption among law enforcement there, but also a lot of fraudulent traffic/personal injury lawsuits among the population.  A low-life will speed backwards into the car behind him, then claim he was rearended, whiplash, etc, etc.    I didn't watch this video (trying to stay clean myself), but there is a lot of crazy #### over there--MiGs flying down the highway under 100 ft, Helicopters buzzing drivers, etc.
  20. You left out one:   In 2012 a Registered Democrat and Obama voter shot and killed Trayvon Martin.
  21. Also, I don't think anyone has mentioned "Galipoli".  It was a rather stark piece about WW1 with a young Mel Gibson.
  22. This summer has been awful if you like getting in the pool/lake.  There hasn't been much sun, its rained a ton and it hasn't been particularly warm.  I may have been in my pool like 10 timses the entire year, and not one of those days hasn't been overcast with threatening rain.    Also, my garden is moldy from the lack of sun.    Honestly, the prettiest weekend this year was back in march, in Knoxville this week.  I recall the weekend of The Home Show was mid 80's and sunny all weekend.
  23. Saving Private Ryan is the best war movie I have seen. It is probably not the top of many lists because it is very tough to watch for many.
