1. What seems odd to me is that they brought in every available resource and nothing they did caught the guy. It was an aware citizen that found him. The police said at a press conference after the standoff ended that.     “Tsarnaev had escaped their manhunt and hid himself in the boat just one block outside of the perimeter they were searching.”     As soon as the police lifted the restriction allowing people to go outside someone found this guy. I guess you could say the best thing they did to catch this guy was to allow people to leave their houses.
2. Without a search warrant the answer is NO, regardless of the circumstances without a warrant the answer is NO.
3. I try to practice Road Relax, I drive a lot and I refuse to let what others do get under my skin. We choose what we let offend us. I try to be someone that is very hard to offend. Life is to short. When driving on a 4 lane I will move over from the left lane if I see someone coming up driving faster than I am. On a 2 lane if I cannot get out of the way and they are dangerously close I may hit my left turn signal and that will back them off, still if not no big deal. I have been in a car where the driver hit his brakes and the car behind us hit us. The driver of the car I was in was ticketed for causing the accident. Things happen! I have made mistakes behind the wheel so I do not get to excited when others do. I do get amused by others flipping someone off, like that is supposed to hurt or something. I want to hold up my hands a say please no not the finger it just hurts to much. Keep in mind you never know what the other person is going through. Maybe they have a good reason to be upset or in a hurry.
4.       I have also seen those people get busted for selling drugs or working for cash only. Their is a huge underground network out there.  I have also seen those people that claim to need help work the system so they buy what they want with the money coming in and then asking for help with food or the electric bill.  I used to attend a church that was listed early in the phone book and almost weekly we got calls from people that needed "help".  We never gave out money so if they needed food we would meet them at the grocery store or offer to go pay on their electric bill.  75% of the time when they relized we were not going to give them money they would just leave or not show up for the groceries.  If it is easy take advantage of the system people will do it, if it is hard, less people will do it.  The feds cannot govern this it must be done locally out side of the governments controls so those really needing help get it and those wanting to take advantage of the system get found out.
5. I thought because we elected O that everybody was going to suddenly love us.
6. Looks fine.
7. Part of the appeal of Palin for me was how much the media and the left hated her. If they hated her that much she must be good. How much time did they spend on how much money she spent on clothes?  If they had spent twenty five percent of that on the current administration they probably would not have gotten elected. Day after day blowing one thing out of proportion after another. My mom mentioned how she hated "that woman she should be home taking care of her kids”. I said that’s funny I do not remember you staying home to take care of your kids. Needless to say we do not talk about politics much any more   I'll take Palin over any Dem and most Repubs any day.
8. I think the latest term is "low information voter". Seems to describe a large part of the electorate these days. This may be a last ditch effort on my part to think that many people are not a stupid as their votes seem to indicate. I guess I am clinging to the hope that if many people really paid attention they would vote differently. I can see where these shows could influence the uniformed that all AR’s are automatic weapons and that there are lots of automatic handguns out there (as I have heard them called recently)

13. Wow 500 bricks in less than 1hour.
14. sgammo.com has got 22lr CCi for $35 a brick limit 4, shipping to me for all was $14.00.  They have 496 left as of 4pm eastern.
15. Chris Kyle did not start these wars. He was there because of his love for his country. Debating the merits of the wars is one thing but those that serve and have served are not the problem. Ron should have tipped his hat for a great American instead of trying to make a political point. Protecting Americas interest is a global job. Never in our history has what is happening in other parts of the world had as much affect on the U.S. as it does now. Commerce is world wide now more than ever. One could argue to much, but the facts are protecting our interest no longer and probably never will stop at our borders again. We can debate why this is and try reverse some of the need to do business with other countries but we are a long way from that happening.
16. I have not seen this mentioned here.  Just wondering what the Ron Paul fans thought of his comments on twitter about Chris Kyle.     Ron Paul✔@RonPaul Chris Kyle's death seems to confirm that "he who lives by the sword dies by the sword." Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn't make sense
17. Thanks for the "thoughtful" responses. I was just wondering if others had, I did not say I was planning on shooting with out my ears on. When I go to the indoor range I use double protection because it is so loud. It is a shock even with ears on.
18. Do any of you practice with out hearing protection on? I guess I am thinking in a bad citation I probably will not have time to gear up. (Middle of the night glass breaking) Will the shock of hearing a gun going off without ears on be disconcerting? I know I try to practice as close to the real thing as possible but have never practice to see what live fire would sound like.
19. I am not sure an individual being able to do background checks is the answer. I know people that work at busy gun stores and they tell me the system is not that great. Many are rejected by mistake and the buyer then has to go through a disputing process to get his name cleared. I also know someone that transposed his SS # and got approved. It may stop some people from buying directly. But if someone is determined to buy a gun they will find a way.

22. As I have gotten older my eyes continue to get worse all the time. A few months ago my eye doc suggested mono vision contacts. That is one eye has a contact for up close and the other eye is for distance. After a few days the brain figured it out and so when reading my up close eye is dominate and when looking at a distance the eye with the distance contact is dominate. You may know where I am going with this. When sighting a target I understood it is best to keep both eyes open. Well that messes me up bad. If the target is clear the sights are blurry if the sights are clear the target is blurry. I currently have gotten hand guns with larger sites Glock gen 3 and up work best at this time. My question is does anybody else have any experience with this kind of contact set up and how did you handle it and what have you found that works best? Sorry for the wordy post I just could not explain this quickly.
23.
Didn't out of control government spending really take off under Reagan as well?
It is one thing to spend more when there is more coming in; it is another to spend more when less is coming in. Reagan’s push for lower taxes certainly brought more in. Unlike Obama whose policies have not increased revenue to the treasury, but he wants to spend like it has. I cannot remember a Democrat and very few Republicans pushing for responsible spending. Reagan was certainly one of them, Newt was and how is he remembered? The problem is the Government does not know how to tighten its belt, it only knows how to spend uncontrollably and anybody that pushes getting that under control is labeled a freak. IE Ron Paul and Ross Perot. How many Democrats have submitted balanced budget proposals? The Republicans may not be a lot better about this but they are clearly better.
24.
If so good for them. Maybe if I owned a business in New York I could attract more patrons by putting up a sign telling Romney voters to go elsewhere. Somehow I think your opinions of that business would be similar to my opinions of this gunstore.
I would not shop there, that is as far as my opinion would take me. I would still respect his right to be stupid.
25.
No one is disputing that. The point is, to shut off all business to anyone who voted for a different candidate is a stupid business move and is pretty childish to boot.
My guess is his business has done very well since putting up the sign.
