the SLR's are such nice guns you should go ahead and install the lower tang (10 mins work) and get the correct FSB/FGB with cleaning rod...that gun will quickly become your favorite shooter. here are pics og my 95s that were done right.

ive wanted to throw my MKII across the room more than once

ive seen alot of the Romanian guns that dont have enough material left to rethread, but alot of others you can still thread a brake on

if there is still enough material left at the muzzle, it can be threaded no problems.
