  1. Look at the picture. He is small in stature (...that is ---"little" -- he aint as tall as the queen mum...). He is brown (...take a close look...). What's the problem?

Note that the end of the original post says "....with great admiration....". That's exactly what it means.

This little man is a "genuine hero", full of courage, dedication, and bravery. A man who happens to be "little (...in stature...) and (...brown...) serving in a military run by white folks, just as it was when "Britainnia ruled the waves". Ever hear of "the white man's burden"? It's a old british construct.

Hows that for an extended explanation!? (...as if i needed to make one...).

I thought it was a bit funny the queen might have wanted to to be taller and standing on a stair step taller than the little guy (<---just kidding no pun intended) Job well done big guy ;-)

  2. we need more people like him who take a stand for what they believe no matter the personal sacrifice. Not sure if it is morally right or spritualy drivenand probably wont know till is my turn, but I can appreciate the stance with a society in denial while helping those who suffer. May he R.I.P. with the people he helped.

  3. Thought I would update this since it was a significant savings. If I would have replaced the key ignition like was suggested by a few mechanics at the very minimum it would have costed $700 and if someone else would have done the labor it would have been about $1100. I had a lock smith down on summer blvd. change the tumblers for $100 and after the initial tow it came to a grand total of $150, needless to say I am a happy camper and to top it off the locksmith sells champion safes so i got to drewl some

  4. I did talk with the dealer and after about 10 people I got a person who knew what I wanted and said they do it but also gave me the impression that I could get it alot faster somewhere else, so I thought I would check here to see if anyone did it themselves. I wont be able to remove the ignition till tomorrow so not in a great hurry, and replacing it is not an option right now, they want about $500 and to have the tumblers replaced is about $100 or less with me removing it. I will check with A1 db99wj, thanks

  5. Figured I would give it a shot:) and was wondering if anyone here in the west TN memphis area a locksmith or know of an honest one. My daughters 03 honda civic needs the tumblers on the ingnition replaced. Thanks in advance.

  6. With all the flooding, there has been a lot of wildlife spotted in areas that are not typical hang out spots for wildlife. Deer on roofs, snakes and yes, alligators!

I did not take this picture. He appears to be using some trash as some type of urban camo. This area is at Hwy 51 and Watkins, near Shelby Forest on the northern area of Shelby County, south of Millington. There have been spotted for years here, and i've heard some in the Ghost River area where the Wolf river starts in Fayette County.

Some things are better left unsaid, that is my favorite place to kayak fish and it is already spooky enough in them swamps but everytime I go some 3 or 4 foot somethin always splashes right next to me and scares the piss out of me, I always figured a carp but now not sure if it wasnt the swamp thing...

  7. Obama to speak to graduates at Booker T. Washington High in Memphis » The Commercial Appeal

Great job to the students of Booker T. Washington High School, it seems pretty impressive with how they improved to win this. But, I am so glad I wont be down there, I was supposed to be in class downtown and because my daughter is graduating I will have to miss. I remember one of the POTUS coming and the SS were diving out of bushes tackling people, bet it will be a fun night for some.:D

  8. We only have of side of the story. I doubt we will get the other side of the story unless there is a trial. If there isn’t a trial I doubt we will ever hear the other side.

It does make good press though. :(

the best thing for me is to learn from this what I would do where I live, with what I carry and being every situation is different I still dont know for sure what I would do, whether hit the ground or fight, my mind may say fight but my body dont always follow so fast. I would have to give the leo the benefit of the doubt till proven guilty, to many people feel just the opposite for the poor victim, makes me wonder why anyone would want to be a leo but where would we be then?

  9. I have thought many times on what I would do if an unknown was in the house yelling FBI or police either one, because there have been more than a few cases around here where they do this when entering to rob the place and I still dont know what I would do other than maybe be yelling "you better show your badge" while aiming, But I do know I would not have an unloaded gun and if the person shot didnt this could have ended alot different. I for one dont believe ANYTHING the media publishes these days until verified, but I can learn from it to hopefully survive a similar situation should it happen. I feel for LEO's these days because they are placed between a rock and a hard place with all the thugs and those of us wanting to defend our selves from the thugs.

  10. Looks good. Backup sights are a must have, but soon you will find that you need backup AR's too. :P Buying ammo won't be a problem for long. Eventually it will replace food and other things as your top priority. Suggest you talk the wife into shooting it ASAP. It's the only way she will have a chance of understanding.

I know I really need a rear sight, it would have made it alot easier to sight in today but I messed up and bought a fake larue rear buis on gun broker and the prick wouldnt refund. I found the Eotech last week on the xd forum at a GREAT price so I will wait another week till I can get the rear buis. As for the wife, she is already semi hooked because of the adjusting stock fitting her little self and the weight is only 7lbs. w/o ammo and I am sure she will like the way it handles. Today was the first time I shot it after putting the moe stock, spike's tactical st-t2, miculek comp. and the eotech on top made it soooooooo sweet...

  11. I know how you all like pics and I got alot of help from here mostly reading old threads but I have finally got it shotable. I have shot about 30 rounds already but it was with a fake Larue I screwed up and bought and was way off. I still need a few things like sling & adapter, rear folding buis and am looking at the slr-1s for home use but after stocking up on ammo I will need to wait a bit.

  12. There are some really great prices on homes in fayette county right now, but as the others have said public schools here have ALOT to be desired, fayette academy has been great for us and since hwy 385 opened up towards hwy 40 it only takes me about 35 or 40 minutes to get downtown. Also, living outside of town takes alot less time to get to anywhere desent to fish, hunt, or shoot.....
