Federal Judge blocks CA mag ban.
Grand Torino replied to bubbiesdad's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Well that's exciting....a least it stops law abiding citizens from becoming criminals for a little while longer. I'm sure that's some kind of micro aggression to the left though. -

http://www.fox9.com/news/264375166-story Around 6:30 p.m. Monday night, Norman County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 500 block of U.S. Highway 75 on a report of a shooting. Live-saving efforts were made and a medical helicopter was called, but 22-year-old Pedro Ruiz was pronounced dead at the scene. Ruiz’s girlfriend, 19-year-old Monalisa Perez, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter. According to the criminal complaint, Perez said Ruiz wanted to make a YouTube video of her shooting into a book held to his chest, and he believed the book would stop the bullet. Ruiz convinced Perez to participate in the stunt by showing her a different book he had shot, and the bullet did not go all the way through. Perez told investigators she fired a 50 caliber handgun from about one foot away while Ruiz held the book to his chest. The book did not stop the bullet, and Ruiz was killed by a single gunshot wound to his chest. Read more.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/06/28/teachers-packing-heat-more-educators-taking-gun-training-classes.html Things that make the left cry..... Teachers across the country are moving to the head of the class when it comes to learning how to use a gun. With mass shootings seemingly becoming common place in classrooms across the country, teachers are learning how fire grade-A shots and starting to carry weapons in class. It’s an attempt to better protect their students and prevent the next Sandy Hook Elementary School or Columbine High School shooting. Nearly a third of the country, a total of 18 states, allows adults to carry a loaded gun on school grounds, with certain permissions. But ever since the Sandy Hook shootings in 2012, in which 20 children and six adults were shot dead, some states have pushed for safety training initiatives for teachers to learn how to properly fire a weapon and prevent any threats to the classroom. Going to pour a concrete shooting bench tomorrow
Grand Torino replied to seez52's topic in Show and Tell
Most folks bring their own carpet remnant or pad with them when they know they are going to shoot on those. They make a very nice platform for shooting. Some ranges I've been to even hand out a nice carpet pad when you sign in for shooting. -
Well since you asked......about 10 years ago or so while I was at work the missus hears some noises coming from the back porch about 8AM. She grabs her 9mm and cautiously eases her way to the back of the house to get a better view. Though the french doors she sees this black dude complete with baggy pants and a hoodie rummaging around the porch carrying a knife. Well never bring a knife to a gunfight. The wife is retired military and an ex cop so after she's sure this dipstick is alone she eases back to the door and pulls the sheers back a bit and taps on the glass . This egghead turns around...sees the gun and his eyes get as big as saucers. To add insult to injury he does a 180 and center punches one of the 6x6 porch posts with his noggin and knocked his idiot self out cold. The wife calls 911 and the rest is history. I've never had any problems with anyone that even remotely fits the bill to the ugly mug I see in the mirror. Only Blacks (twice) and Mexicans once in Arizona that broke into my car so I'm not sure what point you were trying to make.

Justice Thomas Calls Out The Supreme Court
Grand Torino replied to xsubsailor's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
This is what happens when appointees are political instead of justices following the Constitution and rule of law. It doesn't take a college degree to know Thomas is exactly right. -
Welcome to TGO. I spent 26 years in the AF so I know how it goes. Fortunately I never had to go to the left coast. Thanks for your service.

I personally don't believe liberals deal in logic. They do however deal with oppression, hate, deceit, socialism and outright lies. I know there are other adjectives for them but you get the idea. Left and right believe in many end beliefs.....the problem is they usually have a much different way of getting there and if you aren't using their way then they start the name calling and the rest that goes with it.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/06/15/seattle-gun-tax-failure-firearm-sales-plummet-violence-spikes-after-law-passes.html Liberal legislators at work..... When the City of Seattle passed a tax on all sales of guns and ammunition, the measure was hailed as a way to defray the rising costs of gun violence. But since the tax took effect, those costs have only risen as gun violence in the city has surged. And the tax has apparently brought in much less than city leaders projected it would. “How much data do you need?” asked Dave Workman, senior editor of TheGunMag.com and member of the Second Amendment Foundation. “The data says the law has failed to prevent what they promised it would prevent.” CRITICS FIRE BACK AT SEATTLE GUN, AMMO TAX THEY CLAIM IS AIMED AT KILLING BUSINESS Seattle City Councilman Tim Burgess introduced the tax in 2015. It puts a $25 tax on every firearm sold in the city and up to 5 cents per round of ammunition. The measure easily passed and took effect January 1, 2016. Comparing the first five months of 2017 with the same period before the gun tax went into effect, reports of shots fired are up 13 percent, the number of people injured in shootings climbed 37 percent and gun deaths doubled, according to crime statistics from the Seattle Police Department. Councilman Burgess never returned calls and emails for comment. Dana Robinson Slote, director of communication for Seattle City Council, said she was “politely declining your invitation for an interview.” In selling his gun tax to the public, Burgess predicted it would generate between $300,000 and $500,000 annually. The money would be used to study the root causes of gun violence in hopes of reducing the costs to taxpayers. Read more.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/06/15/after-scalise-shooting-pelosi-blames-fox-news-for-violent-threats-against-her.html After Scalise shooting, Pelosi blames Fox News for violent threats against her Speaking with reporters, Pelosi invoked Fox News as she recalled a man who was jailed years ago for threats against her. “His mother said, `He just watches too much Fox TV.’ That’s what she said,” Pelosi said. She added that the “crude and disgusting” things she hears come “from the outside.” The House minority leader concluded, “It may be inflamed, I don’t know. This mom said it was Fox News.” Pelosi was apparently referring to the 2010 case of San Francisco man Gregory Lee Giusti, who was accused of making threatening phone calls to the then-House speaker. Officials said he recited her home address and warned her not to back ObamaCare if she wanted to see her house again. Read more.
