If all that is true it reminds me of something that happened in Arizona. It used to be that you could go out in the desert and shoot most anywhere. You can't do it anymore cause gun owners would trash the areas and never pick their crap up after they finished so they ruined it for themselves.

Time does heal most wounds. My wife and I lost our border collie in 2012 after 15 years of being a part of the family. We swore never again. Now we have two border collies.....raised from pups from the border collie rescue. They make us laugh ever day....no really.

I have practiced the double tap method for years from the draw. I guess it's been in the last 8-9 months I've started practicing three shots on a man shaped target and added another 5 yards to the distance. I'm getting better and I guess it's all I can ask for. I've carried a .45 in some form or fashion since 1973. It's what I shoot the best and what I'm most comfortable with.   If someone gets the draw on you with an AR or AK I figure my chances are slim....but I'll keep practicing anyway. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
