I like it...If it actually happens I'll go. On a side note I'd like to know what the left does for a living. They have left wing zealots to fund these events and ever sometimes pay people to attend. Most pro gun people actually work for a living and weekday events may be tough to attend. Do leftists not work or if they do do they just say the hell with it? And then if the employer says something are they called racist or baby killers? I'm serious...I'd like to know. David is or course right. Standing by and complaining does nothing. I guess the right needs more "community organizers". There must be a class in college for this right? Something needs to happen because there is no discussing things with a turnip. Others said we may end up stripped of our Second Amendment rights down the road but one thing is for sure. It ain't gonna be pretty.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018/03/22/second-amendment-rights-more-than-4-million-americans-are-at-risk-thanks-to-republicans-in-congress.html Congressional Republicans are jeopardizing the Second Amendment rights of 4.2 million senior citizens. At the same time, they have voted to funnel tens of millions of dollars to gun control organizations and support other actions that Democrats will love. All of this is wrapped up in the giant $1.3 trillion spending bill that the House of Representatives approved Thursday on a 256-167 vote and sent to the Senate. Just before President Obama left office, his administration finalized new regulations banning Social Security recipients from buying a gun if they have trouble managing their finances. About 10 percent of all people 65 and older risked being classified as “financially incompetent” – about 4.2 million in all. Using the Congressional Review Act, Republicans and two Democrats passed a bill overturning the regulation. But the bill did more than that. It also prevents any future president from reinstituting the ban without new legislative authorization from Congress. Unfortunately, the spending bill passed Thursday allows the ban to be reinstituted because it reauthorizes the 2007 National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) Improvement Amendments Act. This act allowed government agencies, not just the courts, to determine if someone is mentally incompetent to buy or possess a gun. House Rules Committee Chairman Pete Sessions, R-Texas, said during testimony late Wednesday that he was “disturbed” that the bill would undo part of Republicans’ good work. But by Thursday morning, the House leadership had decided to go ahead with the measure. Despite the name Fix-NICS, the bill is likely to cause more problems than it is worth. Read more.

Might be over the top just a little. 5 pair of safety glasses? Why? My spotting scope only goes out if I'm shooting long guns and it has a separate case. For pistols my bag holds 4 if I choose, some oil, cleaning rag, one set of ear protection, ear plugs, stapler and staples, Sharpy and small note pad, speed loader, ammo, small screw drivers and maybe a couple other things. I carry my glasses in my shirt pocket. My wife has her own bag. If someone else may come along I pack necessary items in a separate bag. Even with just those items in can get a tad heavy.

The problem with discussion is you need opposing sides to sit down willing to negotiate with an open mind. Do you really believe the left wants to do that? Most people on the right do not. They have heard the same rhetoric from them for eons...we don't need them and shouldn't have them. What makes you believe this isn't the lefts end goal still? I personally don't want to end up like jolly old England where it's almost criminal to own a butter knife and Australia where with few exceptions if you want to own much more than a musket (exaggerated) you are out of luck. Negotiating their rights away for nothing in return had made these once proud people a laughing stock in my mind. -
Well I ain't gettin' any younger so there will be one less conservative oldtimer to put up with. As far as the flu thing I was thinking asteroid impact or world wide blackout due to an EMP caused by a Coronal Mass Ejection. Same thing only different I suppose.

That is absolutely true. Just legally owning a weapon doesn't make you a savior. I firmly believe some people shouldn't be allowed within a country mile of a firearm. Have they done anything wrong? No. Did the harm or injure themselves or others? No....well not yet anyway. But here is the conundrum .....Is denying 2nd Amendment rights to millions the answer? That argument makes no sense to me at all. So what is your solution? Do you have a plan that might work? If you do please share it as I'm sure all of us would like to know. Using kids as a veiled excuse to protest guns isn't the answer either...at least to me. Do they have the right to exercise 1st Amendment rights? Of course they do...people have died for that right. In closing I just have to ask why kids people weren't shooting up schools back in the 60's, 70's or 80's? I remember a time when kids actually brought guns to school and they say out in the truck all day. I have my own ideas why but I don't want to bore people with things like parenting, religion, respect and common decency among other things. It's easier to medicate them and give them a cell phone or laptop instead so people won't be bothered and interrupt their "me" time. This country someday will be compared in history to the fall of Rome and with the leftist behavior and agenda that permeates all 27 genders here or whatever the current count is now I'm sure we are already free falling. God help us all or for the none religious folks....best of luck.

That is stinkin' awesome!! but it weighs a ton but who cares? -
I've been faced with terrible situations several times in my life. I think courage gets confused at times with acting crazy. The reason I say that is after acting in those situations I've had more than one person call me crazy and who knows...maybe they were right. After some reflection I might tend to agree with them. One thing for certain....I'm not standing by and doing nothing. When faced with tough situations the first thing that goes through my head is something my father told me over 50 years ago. "Do something...even if it's wrong". Is this the wisest thing to do? Perhaps not. But in my fathers defense I sometimes thought he was a little crazy as well.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/20-year-old-sues-dicks-walmart-over-new-gun-policies An Oregon man filed suits Monday claiming Dick's Sporting Goods and Walmart discriminated against the 20-year-old when they refused to sell him a rifle. Dick's and Walmart restricted gun sales to adults 21 and older in the wake of the Florida high school massacre. The 19-year-old accused in the school slaying bought the AR-15 used in the attack legally. Oregon law allows residents to buy shotguns or rifles starting at age 18. Tyler Watson's lawsuits filed against the retailers in two separate counties claim he faced age discrimination from Dick's and Walmart, The Oregonian/OregonLive reported . The lawsuit is believed to be the first filed over the new gun policies enacted on Feb. 28th. Read more.
