  1. Fawcett and her friend tried various poses around her pool, but nothing was working for them. McBroom then grabbed a worn Mexican blanket from his battered 1937 Chevy truck. He was using it as a seat cover. The photographer realized the stripes would match the suit, so he yanked the blanket from his cab. Who needs a fancy studio with lights?

  4. G10 makes a nice handle material for knives and a lot of other things as well. I think the aluminum could work as well although it tends to gum up files and other stuff but it can be done.
  5. In today's world there are so many problems...people problems dealing with life, moral objectivity, and so on. I found this old story applicable for some reason since to me people seem more self centered and absorbed than ever. A POUND OF BUTTER There was a farmer who sold a pound of butter to the baker. One day the baker decided to weigh the butter to see if he was getting a pound and he found that he was not. This angered him and he took the farmer to court. The judge asked the farmer if he was using any measure. The farmer replied, amour Honor, I am primitive. I don’t have a proper measure, but I do have a scale.” The judge asked, “Then how do you weigh the butter?” The farmer replied “Your Honor, long before the baker started buying butter from me, I have been buying a pound loaf of bread from him. Every day when the baker brings the bread, I put it on the scale and give him the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the baker.” ” We get back in life what we give to others.”

  16. I can only offer prayers to those going thru these addiction problems as I've never experienced it firsthand from relations nor friends. I guess I've been either lucky or done things right to this point in my life. Maybe a little of both.

  21. Score one for PETA. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has gotten Nabisco to change the picture on its animal cracker boxes so the animals appear in an uncaged state. https://www.foxbusiness.com/retail/peta-gets-nabisco-to-free-animals-of-barnums-animals-crackers PETA, which has spent decades protesting the use of animals in circuses, wrote a letter to Nabisco's parent, Mondelez International, asking for the box that contains "Barnum's Animals" to get a new look. “Given the egregious cruelty inherent in circuses that use animals and the public’s swelling opposition to the exploitation of animals used for entertainment, we urge Nabisco to update its packaging in order to show animals who are free to roam in their natural habitats,” PETA said in its letter to Mondelez, according to the New York Post. The company agreed and now the animals appear roaming -- or at least posing -- freely. Read more.
  22. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/08/19/armed-furniture-store-owner-fights-back-would-be-robber-in-indianapolis.html An Indiana furniture store owner turned the tables on a would-be armed robber last month, pulling out his own firearm and forcing the suspect to bolt. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect walked into the store and spoke to owner Doyle Stinson on the morning of July 5. Police said the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded money. Stinson said he gave the suspect $10 from his wallet, but the man told him: "I know you've got more money than that because this is a business." The suspect then marched Stinson to the owner's office and the back of the store. "Once he gets me back to the back room, that was a mistake," Stinson told Fox 59. "I go back here, I hit my silent alarm emergency button." Stinson told the station that he knew the would-be robber's gun wasn't loaded. When the pair got to his office, the store owner grabbed his own .40-caliber weapon. The suspect fled the store. Stinson took aim, but didn't fire because he saw a boy in front of the store and was concerned he would be hit by a stray bullet. Read more.
