I vary quite a bit on the finish from batch to batch. And some of the old sawmill steel takes the finish differently than others. The current batch of blades I'm working on are noticeably lighter than some of the previous ones. I just kinda go with what I have to work with and try to make that particular piece look as best as I feel it can.

I can't really tell from the picture but peejman may be right about it being a sawmill knife. I will be making more sawmill blades.

Seeing that big one makes me want to make one for myself.

Made from 3/16" thick 1084 carbon steel. Designed by the owner....black oxide finish with sculpted G10 handles.

42 may be right but I think I could get maybe 50 of these small knives.

I appreciate the kind words and patronage men. One a different note I just acquired a 36" diameter saw mill blade today. Do you have any idea how many of these knives I can make and tempt you with out of that blade?
