  1. I did this yesterday. I removed about 1/8 " off the profile of the safety and tried it out. Now my thumb seems to ride on the top of it instead of creeping under it. It's amazing that that little bit of removal seems to make so much difference.
  2. For strictly defense measures I carry a 9MM in the summer and a .45 in the cooler months. At home I add a 12g autoloader.
  3. Let us all know how that butt kicking you take turns out some day because you refused to defend yourself. Look...I'm not a tough guy and never look for a fight and avoid confrontation more than most. But I'm not going to stand there and take a beating from some asshole if I have the means to stop it. You may as well leave your weapon at home if you never plan to defend yourself or your family. Good lucky reading a BG's mind and telling a judge I though he was just going to punch me once and walk away but in reality he dealt out bodily harm or even death to your loved ones.
  4. I for one could live with the fact that I had to defend myself cause I have no way of knowing if the BG is just going to give me a bloody nose or kill me. To take a beating and hope for the best is ludicrious at best in my book.
  5. I'm glad you have a chance to get it back.
  6. I just we didn't get it all at once. I'd love a couple of weeks between thunderstorms.
  7. Look....I'm 63 years old and given the chance I'm not going to allow some young buck to kick my ass. If I feel as if I'm in danger......well enough said.
  8. I've already received the frame plugs from S&W. I think I'm going to reduce the size of the pads on the safety and if it doesn't work for me the safety is coming off. I have 4 other M&P's and none of them have the thumb safety. And you're right...it only takes a few minutes to remove it so it's not a problem doing it. Thanks.
  9. I own an M&P .45 equipped with a thumb safety. I love this thing and it's accurate as hell. My problem is I have a tendency to turn the safety on while shooting as I have a high grip and my thumb get's up under it to the point it goes on. I've seen modifications to may it stiffer/harder to turn on but nothing to make it harder to turn off. Short of removing it completely (which I don't have a problem doing) does anyone know of a solution? Thanks.
  10. I beg to differ. Anyone that completed all that in a few hours is no pussy.
  11. You've got a great little package there. I have several M&P's and haven't been dissapointed. Good luck with it.
  12. Before the shooting I felt like I had plenty on reserve. The way things have been lately I'm not so sure.
  13. Well if any of you guys that hate the way things are and are against people buying at inflated prices have any 9MM ammo for sale I'd love to hear from you via PM. I'd be happy to buy some from you at pre-school shooting prices.
  14. SOP for statists like themselves.
  15. I have but it was actually in their store in Chino Valley AZ. I went there about three times when I lived in AZ for the past four years. They seem like good people and they always treated me right.
  16. I wonder which socialist SOB he stole those words from?
  17. That dude needs his teeth pushed in.....after he buys you a new replacement gun like the one he screwed up.
  18. I believe as you do. If this country gets fixed it's not going to be a pretty process.
  19. I see little use for a compensator on a standard AR. Flash suppressor is another matter.......there are so many out there take your pick....whatever floats your boat.
  20. That fat SOB is one reason I left the GOP....just another statist. It will be independent for me from now on.
  21. Makes perfect sense since you have to present a damn birth certificate/passport and get a background check to get the damn thing. Morons.....all of them.
  22. He was a great personality as well as a shooter. Rest in peace Mr. Knapp.
