Open Carry... your thoughts.
Grand Torino replied to TNMP40's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I think carrying either way should be up to the individual.....not the government. That being said I prefer not to broadcast to the entire world that I'm armed. Like so many other things in life I feel it's nobody's business. -
Such a waste...he had life by the gonads but couldn't find a way to get help? Really? Sucks to be his family and the people that loved him. To bad he didn't take that into consideration.

Nice job as always Spots.

It's quite simple really.......break the rules and you're gone. I have a hard time dealing with dipsticks just like a lot of people but you know going in you're gonna find a lot of smart asses on the interwebz. If you've seen the movie "Lucy" you'll see how internet idiots should be treated.....pay attention to the taxi driver sequence. http://youtu.be/zfRGcRkHboo

I could make you one. -
He did some really nice work. I like the anodizing and stone washing.

You're right. My wife and I have lived through several of the RIF's and all it does is weaken our defense and makes remaining people do more for less. As the OP stated.....this entire mess breaks my heart.

Hell yes he does. That's beautiful work.

A man walks out to the street and catches a taxi just going by. He gets into the taxi, and the cabbie says, "Perfect timing. You're just like Frank." Passenger: "Who?" Cabbie: "Frank Feldman... he's a guy who did everything right all the time. Like my coming along when you needed a cab, things happened like that to Frank Feldman every single time." Passenger: "There are always a few clouds over everybody." Cabbie: "Not Frank Feldman. He was a terrific athlete. He could have won the Grand-Slam at tennis. He could golf with the pros. He sang like an opera baritone, and danced like a Broadway star. And you should have heard him play the piano! He was an amazing guy." Passenger: "Sounds like he was somebody really special." Cabbie: "Oh hell there's moreâ€. He had a memory like a computer. He remembered everybody's birthday. He knew all about wine, which foods to order, and which fork to eat it with. And he could fix anything. Not like me -I change a fuse, and the whole street blacks out. But Frank Feldman, he could do everything right." Passenger: "Wow, some guy then." Cabbie: "He always knew the quickest way to go in traffic and avoid traffic jams. Not like me, I always seem to get stuck in them. But Frank, he never made mistakes, and he really knew how to treat a woman and make her feel good. He would never argue back, even if she was in the wrong; and his clothing was always immaculate, shoes highly polished too. He was the perfect man! I never knew him to make a mistake! No one could ever measure up to Frank Feldman." Passenger: "An amazing fellow. How did you meet him?" Cabbie : "Well, I never actually met Frank. He died, and I married his wife."

Grand Torino replied to Raoul's topic in General Chat
By the time we are done we will have tomatoes, green beans, squash, potatoes, black eyed peas, jalapeños, pickles and blackberry jam all put back. The stuff has been growing like crazy. -
 True or not I like it.

Paying it Forward and Maintaining Faith in People
Grand Torino replied to TMF's topic in General Chat
There's some sort of reasoning that equates "good guys" and the phrase "There's a sucker born every minute". I've been burned a lot in my life but never by the same person twice. I try to do the right thing...it's what I was taught but my parents while growing up in the 50's and 60's. I was also taught to let every you can know when some asshole does you wrong and I do that as well. Life is a bitch sometimes.... -
That's a lot of dogs....

Nope...never seen that before... -
We went to breakfast at a restaurant where the 'seniors' special' was two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast for $2.99. 'Sounds good,' my wife said. 'But I don't want the eggs..' 'Then, I'll have to charge you $3.49 because you're ordering a la carte,' the waitress warned her. 'You mean I'd have to pay for not taking the eggs?' my wife asked incredulously. 'YES!' stated the waitress.. 'I'll take the special then,' my wife said.. 'How do you want your eggs?' the waitress asked. 'Raw and in the shell,' my wife replied. She took the two eggs home and baked a cake. DON'T MESS WITH SENIORS!!! WE'VE been around the block more than once!

I would have left. It's just not worth screwing up your life over some dumb ass if you don't have to.
