  1. Thanks...with every knife I make I learn something and apply it to the next one. It's been quite the experience.
  2. Do what you want with it. It's you're call...not their's.
  3. I like it. I've been thinking of getting some of that scale material....just haven't found the right knife for it yet. Nice job Sybo.
  4. Yup....like Jack said.....change it to whatever. :)
  5. No to both. Maybe someday.
  6. Thanks for all the kind words men. This knife making is like crack.
  7. They look great....congratulations.
  8. No I didn't use a wheel....it's a flat (scandi) grind and yeah I used the Ferric Chloride but only for a few minutes then sanded it with 1000 grit lightly until I got the look I was aiming for.
  9. This is made from 1095 carbon steel 1/4" thick. It has an 8/14" blade with a total length of about 14". It's professionally heat treated to a RC 59-60. The scales are stabilized mineral stained Afzelia Xylay sanded to 1000 grit and oiled with Scandinavian tung oil. They came out pretty sweet. They are mechanically fastened with as well as epoxied. It has be lightly acid dipped and sanded with 1000 grit paper. It has nice jimping on the spine as well as a swedge.......unsharpened. It comes with a black kydex sheath and is drilled for a large Blade Tech TekLoc which is not included. I've been wanting to make something of this design and finally got around to it. It's a pretty cool knife. It's available.
  10. Welcome aboard.
  11. That turned out great Sybo. You're a natural.
  12. $10 well spent. Good job.
  13. She's nuts.
  14. The  Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence spews so many lies and bullsh#t I frankly don't know how they get away with printing it.
  15. So the Model 82A1 is still good to go right? :)
  16. I can't buy these and keep them in the house. They are worse than crack....
  17. Saweeeet.
  18. Hands up....don't shoot. My ass. Obozo and his flunky Holder got just what they were looking for.
  19. Those knuckleheads in DC are expected by the people to do just that. Too bad they rarely if ever do.
  20. The swedge makes it easier to make a fine point without taking too much integrity from the actual blade. The actual blade thickness remains heavier through most of the length  and dresses up appearance. It also makes it easier for piercing.   A lot of modern blades don't have them because it's an additional process and an additional cost.
