  1. You never know when someone says something thoughtful. :P
  2. I need to hire you to take all my knife pictures. Great shots......I'm glad you like them.
  3. I'll be 66 soon so I can relate. Since my heart attack in 08 I've read several quotes that have stuck me as oh so true and that's one of them. He's a few more for you to ponder. In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. Abraham Lincoln You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life. Winston Churchill The truth is you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride, and nothing is guaranteed. Eminem
  4. So I have a Springfield 1911 that needs an ambi safety and some trigger work. I also want them to check the thing out for complete serviceability. Who in the titled area should I take/send it to? I don't want to travel farther north than the Brentwood/Frankin area if possible. Thanks.
  5. Welcome aboard.

  13. No I didn't use a wheel....it's a flat (scandi) grind and yeah I used the Ferric Chloride but only for a few minutes then sanded it with 1000 grit lightly until I got the look I was aiming for.
  14. This is made from 1095 carbon steel 1/4" thick. It has an 8/14" blade with a total length of about 14". It's professionally heat treated to a RC 59-60. The scales are stabilized mineral stained Afzelia Xylay sanded to 1000 grit and oiled with Scandinavian tung oil. They came out pretty sweet. They are mechanically fastened with as well as epoxied. It has be lightly acid dipped and sanded with 1000 grit paper. It has nice jimping on the spine as well as a swedge.......unsharpened. It comes with a black kydex sheath and is drilled for a large Blade Tech TekLoc which is not included. I've been wanting to make something of this design and finally got around to it. It's a pretty cool knife. It's available.
  15. Welcome aboard.
