I like it. I think clear finish would be perfect to show off the beautiful grain of the wood.

I like Colt #2 also. But I'm old and I like wooden grips and stocks.

As I am not a gunsmith and you have checked everything out I would send it to Charter or find a local gunsmith. Check their web page as to warranty.

Check the things Wheelgunner stated. Also do you know when it was made? Charter was sold in the 80's and for about 10 years their product was not up to par from what I have read. It was bought back by the original owners and they now produce good guns again. I have carried one for over 40 years with no problems and I cannot count high enough to know how many rounds it has fired. .

I've got one. Really like it. Nice and tight, pretty smooth. Fits and feels good in hand. You'll like it.

Now I'm confused again you said Halls has them. I live near Halls and they don't have a Wally world. Could there be another in east Tenn. I'm so confused I think I'll go lay down now.

Has anyone heard anything about Wally world going to start selling reloading supplies at select stores? Or is this just a rumor that has been started? Might be good if the hoarders don't start in on this like the ammo.

I don't shop there anywho, no ammo, no hunting items, no guns, no fishing poles or lures. They have nothing I want.

Do you know the opening date for Cabela's and I assume this is on 81.
