  1. So don't anybody get any better than you are now. They may cut off your head. I repeat do not shoot faster.....
  2. Now I see where the left is trying to push a bill that will outlaw all things that increase the rate of fire. No bump fire, or trigger up grades. Does that mean they will chop off fingers if they catch on to the ole finger in the belt loop trick.
  3. Oh my my. What a colection
  4. Well it has started. HRC and Gabby Gifford have already started with the anti-gun talk. HRC even went so far as to say imagine how bad it would have been with silencers. You wouldn't be able to hear the gun shots.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll stick to paper for now.
  7. Scatter them in the drive way for a week or so and just drive over them.

    Target

Thanks for the input CZ. I have been thinking this over for a long time, and even though it looks like fun I just can't get over it. I am lucky in that I have a good place in my back yard to shoot. So maybe I'll just keep punching paper.

Need help. (Not a head doctor this time or maybe I do.) Now remember I'm old so.... I was taught as a young fellar that you didn't shoot at hard surfaces. ie rocks, steel, and water as all could send part of the shot back at you. I always shot paper. tin cans, etc. How do I get over my fear of shooting steel. Dueling trees look like a lot of fun. But I still worry about bullets going the wrong way on a one way range. I would only be using hand guns for this. Advise please.
  10. Everyone knows to carry an AK when mowing
  11. I like them all.
  12. Sounds good to me. I have been very busy, what with taking naps and snacks. But I'll try to squeeze it in. Hopefully before dark. I don't look so good after dark to drive.

I was Ind. working. And the strangest thing for me was no planes flying after it happened. You never think about it till it's not there.
  15. I had wanted one as a young boy but never had the funds. Growing up in the hills of Va. there wasn't a lot of spare cash. I remember the ads in all the hunting and fishing mags of the day. Had found several at gun shows over the years but all had broken stocks and was priced higher than I wanted to give. A few month ago I found one for sale about an hour from me. It was in like new condition and the price was fair. So long story short a young boys dream came true 50 yrs. later.

    1911 question

Done some snooping and it looks like a winner for around the same money. Thanks for the tip.
  17. One thing I have learned from all these posting is that all of us should stay out of boats.

    1911 question

I'll have to check them out. I was just looking at gun porn and saw one. And you know you can never have too many guns.
  19. Does anyone have any input on ATI 1911 ? Good or bad, most of the stuff I've seen on the interweb is not bad. Just was curious with a $400.00 price tag. The biggest things was shoots low and has a heavy trigger. Both can be fixed but for a range gun may not be all that much of an issue. You may now start the brow beating and flogging with a wet noodle.
  20. Thanks OS I'm going to make myself a note
  21. Would like to see this myself. Kinda. Hope I don't forget.
  22. I would be interested.

    Sad day

Yesterday I lost my best friend. He was also my brother-in-law. We hunted and fished together for over 40 years. He was a good and kind man. One of the last of the ones whose word was gold. Thanks for listening and if you have someone you cherish in your life let them know. RIP Billy Wayne.
