Words right out of my mouth. Wonder how far out they'll break clays though, could kill two birds with one shot come spring?

Even more concerning IMO is the lack of basic arithmetic. I was at subway today grabbing some lunch about the same time schools let out. The kid in line behind me was trying to buy a soda. The guy at the counted gave her the total ($1.95) and she handed him 3 $1.00 bills and started walking away. He told her to hang on and she looked shocked when he handed her the extra dollar back with the change. Grammar is important. Mathematics are absolutely crucial. -
Looking good! Build list?

That's a bit of an increase for sure, still Charlie is good people, I'll renew for 2014. Even at $90. it's still the best desk going if you can take advantage of the operating hours. CHMR started getting a bit crowded a while back, maybe the price increase will help take care of that somewhat.

I've had dealings with Metro officers no less than 5 times in the last year. I work in east Nashville and unlike some people can't seem to just walk away from somethings that are common experiences. Bums pissing on my store, some guy falling off the bus and just laying there, no one else trying to help. Typical inner city crap. Anyway, Metro officers are some fine folks, helpful and professional in my experience. There are some young ones, but my only interaction with one if them was just as positive as any other. Must have good FTOs in Metro.

For the Non-TN resident members of TGO. Why TGO?
TrickyNicky replied to Peace's topic in General Chat
I voted google search. I live here now but didn't when I first joined up. I was in town around January 2 years ago and did exactly that, googled "Nashville gun shows" and "Nashville shooting ranges". One of those brought up TGO and I've been here since. I didn't actually join for awhile, just spent awhile reading and getting to know the place. -
Just a quick tip, you could probably save a bit if money ordering everything from Brownells or midway and only paying one shipping charge. They'll probably have most of the stuff in at midway but you may need to go with different brands for the barrel and gas system. Unless the ones you showed above are different than the other ones I've seen, you don't need a delta ring or anything to do a free float build. Here's a helpful video on installing your gas block. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=l4rkeCzwteo Here's one on free float guards. Yours may differ slightly in installation but this should help give you an idea on what you need to install a free float tube. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JBeIAjE1BhI

I've had great service and pretty reasonable pricing from Roscoe Brown. I'm pretty sure they don't charge for quotes but that may not always be the case. I've had them repair A/C units and replace a hot water heater. They only charged I think about $500-$600 for the heater including install. Not bad considering the installation involved healing it straight up through a crawl space 8' off the ground through an opening only slightly larger than the heater itself. They do HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other general contracting.

You my friend are a hard one to shop for. :D The Mora is becoming a tradition for me, if I don't know the perfect gift from now on I'll get one of those as everyone needs one, even if they already have one they need another. I was really sweating on the other part of the gift, then I saw a post you made about looking for 15-22 mags. Looked online and all the usual suspects were sold out, luckily I found some local. If you need more mags shoot me a PM and I'll let you know where I got that one, they had plenty.

Sorry, gotta disagree with that. The problem is your crediting them with a little thing called common sense. Now if WE were in their shoes, our plan didn't work and all, we would probably not want to bring much attention to that fact. For THEM it doesn't matter, common sense is long gone both for them and their followers. All they'll do now is cry even harder, threaten more people, and try to turn it around so its anyone's and everyone's fault but theirs. No, they won't sweep it under the rug. They're getting their speeches written, ready and willing to once again use the graves of children as a podium for their crap...JMHO -
Happens to me almost every time I order from them. I've setup the same account numerous times with different emails and passwords, called twice to have CS fix what we thought was an incorrectly entered email. No dice. The good news is they've always delivered, sometimes later than anticipated, sometimes earlier.

I couldn't agree more. I was a Mac hater until I actually had to use one at work a few years back. I cussed and moaned at first but now that Im back on a PC for work I miss the reliability and carefree days of the Mac. I still use my iPhone exclusively for all off the clock browsing as I never have to worry about a corrupt site or anything. Spend the money and get a nice MacBook or desktop. You'll be glad when you realize it's been a year since your last computer trouble. ;)

Well we were both wrong, the PSA deal is better than I thought. I think the Walmart stuff might be 62grain, but again my recollection could be way off.
-
Curious to see what the details are myself. Like I said it would be a good price and I would pick up at least some.
-
I might go in on a can with you tnguy. If the cases at Walmart are 1,500 that's a great deal on brass ammo. I thought the case's at Wally World are 1k rounds, but its been awhile since I have seen one, never bought one so don't remember. If that's the case and you only want about 1/2 that, PSA is the way to go. I just jumped on the deal from Palmetto. Tnguy, I would recommend it to you as well, shipping to Franklin/brentwood was $15.00 I threw a few other things on the order to and the shipping stayed at $15.00 if you have other things to buy.

Mines going out today. Should be in the hands of the recipient on Saturday. Hope you enjoy and get much use out of it!

Mine is waiting for me at home right now. Full report tonight. Edit: just awesome! I got some polymer flip up sights that are super light weight. Perfect for a light weight build I'm planning out in my mind. I also got an extended latch for a charging handle, once again perfect as I just don't like the mil spec ones after spoiling myself with a BCM. I already have a charging handle to instal it on also so that's one more part for a build. I got an AR receiver "plate". Not sure of the proper term but its the plate that holds the spring that holds the rearward takedown pin. The one I got has ambidextrous slots for a sling on either side of the receiver. Possibly best of all (for me anyway) is the lower receiver vise block. I've been putting off buying one for awhile, looks like that strategy paid off in the end. ;) A sincere and heartfelt thank you to my secret Santa. The gifts you gave are absolutely perfect and I will surely use and enjoy them. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Additional thanks go out to all those that make TGO what it is. Between the staff and the members, this IMO is THE best place to be on the web, period.

I would buy a complete rifle but it would have to be a pretty great price. I'm having fun learning and messing around so I think buying one complete would be almost anti climactic for me. Right now I'm having trouble deciding which calibers I want to go with. I understand the purpose of each caliber enough to know that I honestly don't need anything other than 5.56 but I want more variety in my life. The 6.8 is on back burner as I'm just not convinced it has anything to offer to me over the 5.56. 300blkout is a strong contender, its gaining enough popularity that I think ammo wont be to hard to source in a few years (guessing?) plus I plan to start reloading in 2014 anyway. I like the idea behind the 300blkout, it seems like it would be a good choice for me to have some fun messing with. I don't hunt, I'm not anticipating any close quarter combat so I guess I'm just not sure there is much merit to the round as a paper puncher though. I'll have to try one and see. 6.5grendel has got my attention. I like what I'm reading and it seems I may want to go with one of these. MikeGideon is not helping matters AT ALL! I like the idea of a light round that is just starting to get going where the 5.56 is starting to lose its steam. The only thing keeping any Grendel parts out of a midway cart is simply the cost. For everything. From the bolt on to the glass, this doesn't seem like a build that one would want to try to make on a budget. Plus I have nowhere to shoot any kind of distance that would merit the round. I still like it though. 458socom I just don't know enough about. I like the idea and everything but I need to read up and definetly try one before putting money into building one. I'm not sure why, I have no idea what kind of possible real world applications it would have for me, but I do want one... I think.

Ah jeeze, don't get me started. I've had a funny feeling deep in my gut. At first I thought it was gas but I'm starting to feel that it ought be this EBRD worsening. Why do I get the feeling that 2014 will be the year of the AK?

Words cannot express the level of gratitude I feel right now. Thank you very much for bringing this up. :) x10 -
There's no more questioning it, I've got it and I think pretty badly. About This time last year I didn't have even one EBR. As of about 15 minutes ago I now technically have five. Now keep in mind that two are upper and lower only at this point and one of them isn't quite done yet, BUT I have an order of parts on the way and my Midway cart full again already. I should have all but the TGO build done by mid January. Heck one of them will most likely be done before Christmas. <Sigh> I guess there's no use fighting it at this point is there? The disease has taken over. How about you all, how fast did you succumb to the sickness? I want to try and see what kind of quality of life I have ahead of me. And of course, here's a pic. Because it happened.
