Very nice! I love the Police Positive. Handy little revolvers that shoot where you point them. Had one for a little while and sold it back when I inherited my Official Police. Wish I had it back. Oh and of course, great restoration. Looks better than new.

Best AND worst for me were the same, Anchorman 2. Worst because it was pretty terrible and lazy. Best because it points out and rubs our faces in just how lazy our media is and how full of sh;t they are.

I've decided that I want to build a 300blk carbine to add some flavor to the AR stable. I want to go with a carbine as I just can't seem to get into pistols and don't really want to go through the SBR process for right now. My first question is regarding barrel length, I've heard that the standard 16" barrel doesn't do the round any favors and that shorter barrels are where the round really shines. With that said I have two options, buy a 16" barrel and run with it, or buy a shorter barrel and pin/weld a brake or KX3. I'd really rather go with a 16" barrel and be done with it, but if it will even theoretically help performance I could also see myself going the other route. Not sure if the 2-3" really makes any difference one way or the next? Most of the barrels I'm considering are either 1 in 7" or 1 in 8" twist. I plan on shooting primarily without a suppressor but plan on shooting a mix of sub and supersonics. I may go with a can at some point but that's way into the future. Would either twist be preferred to the other with that in mind? I'm thinking it should be about the same but I want to make sure that I'm not setting myself up for baffle strikes in the future or anything. Lastly, I'm planning on using an adjustable gas block, this should help me put some back pressure on the system to keep subsonics cycling without a can correct? This is the one I'm considering most ATM, seems like a good value for what you get. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/211944/ar-stoner-barrel-ar-15-300-aac-blackout-medium-contour-1-in-8-twist-16-stainless-steel I'm also considering this one as well. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/680713/cmmg-barrel-ar-15-300-aac-blackout-1-in-7-twist-16-carbine-gas-port-wasp-melonite-finished-chrome-moly-matte-pre-ban Any thoughts or recommendations welcome, even those telling me to suck it up and build a damn pistol already.

I say build one personaly. What more you spend on parts you make up for in having a "custom" rifle and being able to spread the purchases out over as long as you like /need.

Meh? If that's all it takes to ruin a tradition for you I would advise against turning on the TV or opening a newspaper pretty much ever again. Some people are gay. In the next few years their being married is going to hopefully become more common place and we're going to be hearing about it. Also wonder how meaningful a tradition it could have been in the first place if this is all it takes to ruin it? It's not like they're having a Hitler float, or a puppy stomping exhibition...

Vortex StrikeFire - Broken?

Mine changes brightness settings with each click. Its a little subtle on some of the smaller/dimmer settings. I'd say it's really more like 6-7 setting realistically. The dot on mine is not the sharpest out there by a long shot but I wouldn't describe it like that at all. Is this all only outside in full daylight or is this inside as well? I will admit that only the brightest settings really work outside in daylight for me, but indoors they are are all visible. I can see the dot being made up of smaller dots on the largest/brightest settings, but it doesn't seem so noticeable as to be a problem for me, it seems like more of a line, not a V and the dots mostly overlap, makes it more of an oval-ish shape. Don't have the spider web streaks unless you mean the reflection off the walls of the tube that you can see when your moving around. I can only see them on the green dot, and only when its on its brightest setting. In fact the only issues seem to be with the brightest green settings. -
Thanks buddy. I'm saving the recipes to my phone in case they pulled again.

That would fly at work for me too.

Yup. I met Spots awhile back and at first thought "he's not so big." Then I got closer and realized "actually, we're about the same height" Then I got closer and realized "holy sh;t he's sitting down! Cross legged!" But seriously, Spots is a big dude. Actually, I'm a big dude. Spots is a freaking human mountain.

Dude, Spots. That is simply the most epic thing I have ever heard...Er, read. 27 internets to Spots with a bonus awarded for excellence.

Christmas when liberals and conservatives got along.

Sounds like your people need a trip out behind the barn this year to help them remember when things were simpler. -
Don't fight it Mike, just embrace the fact that you have two precision "twins" on the way and ride with it. B) Nothing says "manly man" like double gunning some 20+" grendels.

In it to win it!

TGO build opinion needed regarding length of forearm
TrickyNicky replied to Trekbike's topic in Show and Tell
I'd go for the longer rail personally. I'm sure it handles fine but as it sits now it just looks awkward IMO. Plus you'll gain a slightly longer sight radius which is nice. -
Sorry to here that G. I've been in emergency pet care for the last 3 hours myself. Not a lot of fun and our issue is a minor one.

Yeah, I feel like I'd rather have an 870 or ideally for me a bennelli nova. Now their 1887 is cool, not a lot of other options being made if any for something like that. One of those could be... interesting. I still like the Rhino but I'd have to find a good deal on one to take the chance.
-
I'd like to own a Rhino just to have as an oddity. They look like whoever engineered them put a lot of time into it, I'd like see if there is any real practical difference to one over a traditional revolver.

I like the looks of the masterpiece arms stuff for a fun gun. I think I've read that they tamed some of the trigger slap that similar guns have had. I'd be interested in a range report just to know that.
