Go shoot in the rain. That's my favorite time to hit the range as all the tacticool commandos are generally too afraid of getting their toys wet to show up. Kind of ironic to spend 2x-3x as much money on a high end "military tough" red dot only to freak out when it gets a little wet, but hey, whatever. Usually on very cold wet days its just me and the old timers and I like it better that way anyway.

PSA. I linked you one in your other thread. It does NOT come with charging handle or BCG. They have one that does but you can buy those two items seperatly and save $20.00 Some reported imperfect barrels on the ptac stuff but I believe PSA made it right for those effected and have it under control now if I recall correctly.

I'd checkout a remington 597. I've got a 10/22 and a 597 and have to say I prefer the Remmy. They feel more like a full sized "real" rifle compared to the Ruger. The 10/22 is a very handy little carbine though, hard to go wrong with either really. CZ makes some drool worthy rifles as well. Henry makes a great rifle too. Go down to the LGS and fondle a few, any if them would work well for what you want, find the one that fits best.

Pretty strong words. Have you owned a poly receiver? B) I have 3. Different brand, same overall concept. All have their own uppers and all work well. If you don't want to have to assemble the lower yourself they're pretty good options. They have surprisingly good triggers, a little heavy maybe but little to no creep. Having said that, now is a good time to be building an AR, parts including receivers are cheap as mentioned above. It's ok, I've only been playing about 4 years longer than he's been alive and have maybe half the skillz. But that's fine, I mean its not like I'm jealous or anything...
