I'm starting to question leaving the house in general. It's dangerous out there.

A few other things to point out. The Blackhawk is built right and will out last even the youngest of new buyers with even minor care. Ruger tends to stand by their products so if you were able to wear out anything they will most likely replace it. It's robust enough that I'd be comfortable just having some replacement springs around, maybe a few extra parts and be set for life with it. Hogue makes a really nice grip that gives you more to hold onto, as do a few other after market makers. Worth checking out if you don't like the stock grip. Now having discussed the good points, if its going to be your first revolver you might want a good SA/DA instead. They're a bit more useful in that they make a more practice for carrying and home defence and the like and almost as much fun. Here are the revolvers currently in the stable. I like semi autos, they're alot of fun, but wheel guns in general are more interesting IMO.

No more so than shooting is the problem. Once the ammo is in the end users hands its immaterial whether they are hoarding or shooting, the ammo is out of the supply chain either way.

Yeah they was an especially creepy scene from a creepy character. He nailed that roll though.

Gun buyback fail - Bring your own tissues

I'm glad I was on the toilet when I read this. That sucks a lot of suck. -
I think you're over thinking your next Wally World run...

Too bad. He was a very accomplished actor.

Got one and its a definite keeper for sure. Accuracy is best when using .357 generally, but with .38s and 9mm it isn't bad at all. I'd highly recommend one, especially if your wanting a single action but want some modern improvements like a coil hammer spring instead of a leaf, adjustable sights and the transfer safety bar. Their easy to work on too if you like to take things apart and tinker with them. They come pretty good from the factory but can clean up even better with some polishing or some use. I just worked the action in my free time for a week or so while watching TV or whatever, feels pretty good. Not as nice as one of my buddies who has the same gun and hand polished the internals, but pretty good. Incidently he had his 9mm cylinder bored out for the .44/.357 or .357 Bain Davis. Pretty neat round. I'd rather have the 9mm though.

The 2914 melody maker is on my radar for sure. Looked more like a combo of two of my favorite Les Pauls, the single cut jr. and the lite series. I've got a custom lite so the melody maker would be different yet familiar feeling addition. Do you all still make the SG classic? Those were cool guitars too. That and my firebird VII are the two I really regret letting go of. On that note musicman you should suggest a USA run of Firebird IIIs in the original 60's custom colors. Cardinal Red with a set if P90s? Uh yes please. PS, its all about the TV yellow for the melody maker.

The price is about on par with other similar models. Your not paying a bunch extra for the "limited series". As to whether its a good buy or not is debatable. If you want it because it pokes fun at the gov, and your willing to spend that kind of cash then fine. If you want it as a guitar to play just look over the specs. It's weight relieved mahogany and maple body, mahogany neck. Pretty standard Les Paul stuff. It's git a carved top which some desire, some don't and some like both. I'm in the later camp. I don't like the finish color and the Dirty Fingers pickups are known for being overwound aggressive and IMO not really some of gibsons best. The neck is a slightly thicker one in spec, but there will be thicker and thinner ones out there. Personally I am in the mood for a new guitar and I'll be passing on this one. I'm pretty much a Gibson whore so its a pretty good chance it will be gibson inspired. Right now I'm working on a nifty les Paul jr. / telecaster project that I need to finally get finished.

Daniel Defense ad is a "no-go" for Super Bowl
TrickyNicky replied to EMB145's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I feel like this came up before. Seems like a non issue to me, though it would be cool seeing what gun companies come up with for Super Bowl commercials. -
I've never owned a sig or a 1911. This might change that.

No I had not realized, that's a great price though. Could have had them ship 3 for probably less than I spent on 2. Oh well, live and learn. After not seeing them anywhere in the year plus I've had my M&P I didn't bother with price checking when I saw them there, just jumped on them. Now I almost wish I hadn't spent so much there, blew all my gun money until Wed.

Does WW11 Captured Handgun Original Paperwork Add Value, Desireability

I'm just glad no ones pointed out that I put down IX instead of X. :slap: -
Stingers and velocitor. Also had some .22long and some shot shells I think. Didn't get a price on the shot shells but the long was 10.00 a hundred. Also I have to edit the price above, double checked the receipts and box, velocitors were 8.99 per 50, stingers were 7.99 per 50. Still not bad, all things considering. I'll use some to try breaking some clays with my M69 at 100 yards. It's a good shooter but I've never taken it out that far before. Guess a little extra oomph might help.
-
Oh, also had a bunch of the weird new .22TCM (I think that's what it's called) the 9mm necked down to a .22 Had a bunch for about .50 a round if I recall correctly. Plus M&P 9mm full sized mags. Not ammo but I figured some of you all were like me and had been wanting a few extra.
-
Some .22 to be had, mostly CCI expensive stuff. About $8.00 - $9.00 For 50. Not bad, back before I remover it at about $6.50 so figure the demand plus yearly price changes... Not bad at all. 3-4 1k 55grain federal 223 can't recall the price but wasn't bad. Lots of .40 can't recall pricing. They had a bunch though. .45 you ask? See below. Lots of good stuff there. Not maybe the cheapest pricing you've ever seen but IMO fair. Plus a lot if it so you might not have to make a loop to every Walmart and gun store trying to get ammo for all you caliber choices.

And we've touched on my obsession. Have you tried calling Lake City? I might in Monday, just to see what the availability is or if I can get on a waiting list.

It's no wonder our country is in such disarray
TrickyNicky replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Wow. I think its funny how he got his arm all tatted up, just like a real tough guy. Someone should take his tattoos away with a cheese grater, spoon and a blowtorch. What a little puke. -
There some TSA officers with LE status, but very few and not the ones found at the gate security screening. Even large international airports have only one or two typically. In general airport PD is responsible for arrests.

Ok, ok, ya drives a hard bargain... TWO live rounds, brass cases even. :x: But really, WTF?! I feel ripped off like one of my buddies just pulled a cool transformer prize from his happy meal and I pulled out a Barbie or something out of mine. Why am I this excited about a "round" that won't even shoot? When I don't even own it? All I know is I still think its cooler than being cool.
-
Looks good. Usually I like the classic wood stock look, this one works though.
-
Too small for that its true, unless your looking at the optima, then maybe not. Either way I feel like mine would be fine if I lost a little weight.

Love my killer kia. Best warranty in the industry, at least when I bought mine, and has had nothing but rock solid reliability. Been across the country no less than 3 times and doesn't have issues when I forget about oil changes. Also I treat my little sedan much the same way I treated my old F350, like a work truck. It has a hard time going too far off road, but I've taken it places where others said I'd never make it that far off the road. Great fuel economy, was about $10,000 new, how can I complain? I'll most likely but another, especially if kia ever gets into the small pickup market. Don't know about the new racier models, but my buddy is a gear head and kia hater, even he likes them so I'm sure they're good for the price.
