  1. This X1000 Medical marijuana wasn't always so easy. People went to jail/prison for what they were doing. The difference between now and then has a bit to do with the administration not choosing to enforce federal law, it's got more to do IMO with the millions of people who "kept calm and smoked on" if you will. We CAN put the power back in the states hands, but it might mean being ok with criminal status and all the fun prizes that go with that. A price most are (reasonably so) unwilling to pay. It also means that more states have to pass similar laws and the people of those states must also be comfortable with being criminals. You can't just pass a state law that defies federal law and expect it to just protect you. You have to work at it and exercise that law every chance you get. And if course, someone has to be first, both on an individual level and a state wide level. Long story short, you want the Tn firearms freedom act to actually mean something in 10 years, start getting arrested today. Of course, IANAL, this is nothing even close to legal advice, I do NOT recommend violation of any state or federal laws. Even the stupid ones.
  2. FedEx. FTW.
  3. I've got a fairly healthy supply, I just keep buying it out of habit when I see it. It was hard to find there for awhile, but 9/10 times I go out, I come back with something. Stopped waiting for wallyworld resellers to he tired a long time ago, likewise on the value packs. I've scored I think just the one 325 round tin in the last year, I've put away thousands getting my daily limit on 50 - 100 round boxes from LGS. 22 is out there...
  4. That's a good looking rail, goes great with the TGO set. Do you plan on making much use of the key mod, or leave it blank? I think a lot of them look like they have a very comfortable contour, doubt if I'd mount much to them though.
  5. Riiiiggggghhhhhtttt, everyone.... ;) That's the ticket, yeah.
  6. The classic double standard. Personally I say let her decide who's hair she wants to cut and why. Of course, while I disagree with the baker, he too should have the freedom to choose who he engages business with.
  7. No, it just doesn't cycle. Not enough energy. You can manually feed them ok, but it probably depends on the gun even for that.
  8. The first case of "for the children" I can get behind with gusto!
  9. They don't.
  10. You know we want to believe you, really we do. :)
  11.
  12. I like pmags. Smoother, quieter, more durable, a whole host of reasons I don't have to really worry about. I also like that you can ride your bolt home and it will pickup that first round no sweat. Easier than the GIs anyway. Plus I just like the company period. If my money's got to go somewhere if rather it be to someone who putting innovative new ideas out and also makes quality a priority.
  13. Blue books are a useful tool, but they only tell part of the potential value which can vary at any reason at any time and even regionally. I've found that for guitars anyway most dealers are happy to look up a value or let you do it in store. Especially if your buying something already.
  14. You know that Internet phenomenon where conversations can only go so far before hitler is mentioned? So and so's law? TGO law dictates no political topic can last 3 pages before the gay wave hits.
  15. This. At least. I'm not sure why some people just give theirs a cursory wipe down. I wouldn't let any of my other rifles sit around with all that crud on and inside them, why would I a Nagant? I also don't get why people set out to do full "restoration" or sporter projects either. Clean it up, shoot it, repeat. I guess I'd rather someone leave it gunky than start stripping the finish right off.
  16. I think Dave's likely got bigger things on his mind right now than patches, he did just have a kid a little while ago. As to the whole too big or too small range bag issue, I use a 3 bag system. 1 large bag holds pistols, some ammo, basic cleaning supplies, targets and the like. One of the smaller bags is full of ammo and has pouches on the outside I use for holding an ar conversion kit. Other small bag is full of eyes, ears, sunscreen, band aids, hand wipes etc. that one usually stays in the car. These are what I use for a smaller bag. Lots of capacity for its size and comfortable to carry. If you want a great range bag go to homedepot, some of those carpenter bags are plenty big and very durable.
  17. I'm sorry for your loss. Reading the article is a humbling experience, seven pairs of boots, multiple ski rods and pack frames. I imagine if I went blind right now I might never learn to tie my own shoes again, much less hike the Appalachian trail.
  18. I really need to get on the ball and pick one of those up. One day. Out of curiosity, why are the FALs so expensive? Lord knows enough have been made, you'd think they would be about what an entry level AR would cost...
  19. There's a world of difference between believing everything the media tells you and believing anything from that crackpot article. With that said I'll gladly STFU and take my leave from this thread. Guess I'll go back to my bubble.
  20. I just assumed it wasn't worth the hassle for the store to be sure the gun was in compliance with C&R status. I've never asked though, maybe one of the vendors here can tell us how'd they'd handle it.
  21. Her husband winning state contracts with high bids is literally nothing new. The corruption of the state gov in Ca could choke a donkey.
  22. I think from an evolutionist point of view the first "legal chicken" would have been born such. To that end I say Egg>Chicken.
  23. Oh, to the OP. Good idea on the plum crazy lower. Polymer has been very reliable for me for range uses and is cheaply replace should anyone manage to break it. I'm little by little getting ready to swap all my uppers and furniture from the polymer lowers to aluminum ones, once I'm done I plan to build the polymer ones up again as lightweight models for family range days.
  24. IT HAS BEGUNNNNN!!! Next up are all the DIY attempts to prematurely wear them. These will looks awful and shall be mocked by all at first. But then, only by some. Then, by much fewer people shall they be mocked. Then comes the darkest of times. One day, no will know what an honestly worn and loved rifle even looks like anymore. You will proudly show your best shooting pieces to your friends only to have them criticize the quality of your holster wear, point out the unrealistic amount of scratches and dings in the furniture, and question why you haven't filed marks into your stock to represent your fallen enemies, after all, the real gunfighters all have them. Dark times are ahead friends. Dark times.
  25. Fair enough, and don't take it as me thinking you don't know your job, that's not my intent or belief, but I was watching the news that day too, we didn't see squat. Outside the building with a bunch of arial footage showing not a whole lot and ground coverage showing even less. Again, we all can make of it what we will, and you have much more hands on experience with this kind of thing, but that still cant prove anything more than that the city wasn't prepared to deal with a situation like that on a logistical or practical standpoint, which may or may not be true.
