My sentiment is the same with my AR Stoner 20". Mines not Teflon coated but the SS version. 223. Wylde, 1/8 twist, 5R rifling. A lot of bang for the buck, pun gleefully intended. I haven't taken mine out to test MOA accuracy, but it groups VERY well just off the bench messing around. I would be surprised if my results vary too much from Garufas. If I had to do it over again I would. If there was an even cheaper alternative I'd look into it as well, but I'd at least want comparable specs personally.

I'll have to stop by and say hi. I have a love hate relationship with Cajun food. I don't like much for seafood so its tough. On the rate occasion I can find gumbo with sausage and chicken it is one of my favorite things.

I like the 32 in a little pocket gun. It's not the stoutest round by any means, but I'm fairly confident that no one want to volunteer to get shot with it. :D Very manageable recoil out of my P32. It would be fun to shoot even, if it weren't so small and such a low capacity. I've thought about getting a 380 but for anything bigger I'd rather have a 9mm and in the pocket gun world, well, I like the 32. Some of the hotter loads aren't too bad, I load mine with semi flat FMJ ball and worry not about over penetration or expansion. Shot placement will be key, period. Of course that just my line of thought, YMMV and probably will.

I wasn't going to, but since everyone is... If we get that high I would like #90. Then it can match my TGO lower. :) If not then wherever I fall is good enough for me.

Yeah they're kinda like tube tops in that way. Either  or  -
If it works and your scoring well, who cares about looks? And BTW, it doesn't look bad. At all.

Yes sir! I think I can oblige.

I haven't put it all together but the ones I've seen that are gone made me say good riddance. Except one. I don't totally 100% agree with that call, but I can see how maybe it had to be made. I was a bit concerned, enough to reach out to the staff, but that had much less to do with me thinking I'd been out of line and more to do with me just wanting to be 100% sure.

I'm just gonna say Willis and protech should put their heads together and decide. Any which way it's easier/cheaper is good with me.

What's really bad is I'm already starting to catch myself at it too. I had no less than three "when I was a kid..." moments myself just today.

Writing our Senators and Representatives about SBR's
TrickyNicky replied to btq96r's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think it's very well written. Personally I would amend or remove the 4th and 5th paragraph, mainly the 4th. While I agree with the sentiment, you do an otherwise fine job of bringing logical data to the table everywhere else, bringing feelings and beliefs can soften the argument IMO. I would also not bring up the hassle of filing the paperwork, again it softens the argument. Understand that if you were writing to have the NFA completely nullified I might think differently, but your righting a logic based letter regarding one specific issue and the issue does seem to be a legal redundancy that should have been cleared up a long time ago. Other than that, awesome. Maybe I'll write a little letter of my own. -
Ok twist my arm a little harder. I'm in. :)

That's really the whole article though. One could probably come up with just as many examples where the class of 2013 shines and the class of 57 look like chowder heads too. I guess it's more fun to look back at the perfection that was society back in the day than it is to acknowledge the worth of the future.

Might just taste like pork. Neat idea anyway

The one I did last weekend came out pretty smooth, keep in mind that I started with smooth metal. I'm going to do another that has been parkerized already, I expect that one will have a bit of texture to it, but we'll see. I'll keep ya posted.

I'm kinda worried about the same thing, then again my $15.00 kershaw has really held up well over 3 years. Maybe I'm getting less ham fisted with my stuff. I'll keep watching this, I've never spent that kind of money on a knife before, but this one might just be the one, who knows?

Naw, bad lighting + bad camera = bad pics. The finish is matte. It almost looks like dark black parkerizing.

I got kind of bored last weekend and happened to be at the hardware store, so I thought I'd go ahead and try painting the barrel on one of my ARs. Its a stainless barrel and while I'm not worried about a glare giving away my carefully chosen tactical position behind the firing line at the range, I just didn't end up liking it like that after all. I had read Dolomite recommend chalkboard paint in a rattle can several different times and I figured its cheap enough to try so why not? I also grabbed a can of high temp paint to compare since I had read a lot of other people say it was great. I would have to say I am not a fan of the high temp stuff. It went on wetter and took longer to dry between coats. I got a nasty run, but that was my fault, still the chalkboard paint was easier to work with IMO. It goes on fairly dry, and even when I was spaying a bit heavier than I normally would to make sure the fluting was good and covered, it never ran. It also touches up incredibly well. I had two small scratches from getting it into the oven and more where it was too tall in places around the gas block that disappeared quick and easy without having to respray anything. I used an old margarine tub lid and sprayed some of the paint on it from 2-3" away until it pooled up a bit then used a small paint brush to apply it. Waited about a minute and used a clean dry brush to help blend it in, but based on what I'm seeing I may not even have needed to. So far it seems like a durable finish that I can cheaply and easily touch up if needed, hard to beat that, plus it looks great, i guess I can use it as a small chalkboard too which is... Neat? Thanks to Dolomite for putting the info out there, I never would have guessed chalkboard paint but it makes total sense. Here's a before, And after, Sorry for the bad pics.

It wasn't there when I was typing  that would have been a harder choice, cream of wheat is just  compared to quaker oat.
-
Hmmm. This is a tough one. I eat both differently. A little salt, pepper, and some shredded cheese for the grits, something sweet (honey, syrup, or just sugar w/sliced fruit) for cream of wheat. With that said I eat more grits than cream of wheat, but used to eat more oatmeal than either. Now probably more grits since there's a BBQ place that makes some kind of casserole out of them. I'm not sure exactly how much crack they mix in each batch, but it has to be a substantial amount as I can't help ordering every time I go there, and they're close enough for me to eat there a few times a week. So I guess grits.

You'll be fine, I'm not putting anything out until at least the 15th. A late frost bit me in the butt last year and took out a lot of starts. I bet we're clear by now, but I still picked the 15th to be sure a while back and see no reason to worry about going out earlier, especially if you buy established starts from a greenhouse nursery. I like to garden some too.

TrickyNicky replied to TGO David's topic in Handguns
I've only fondled them up till now, not owned or shot one. Having said that based on the feedback I've read here and how they fit my hand, I'll most likely end up with one at some point. Anyway, Tresoso nailed it. If most of us only started buying "what we need" 1/2 the gun stores in TN might go under! -
I had to steal that last one as my iphone wallpaper. Fantastic pic.
