  1. RIP Barry , you will be missed. :(
  2.    Funny you guys should say that, calamari is the only seafood I've ever enjoyed. Once. Had it at a great karaoke bar once and they used fresh oil is all I can guess. Every other time I've had it I would have agreed. Off topic but it really suck not liking fish. Everyone and their sister is always saying the exact same thing "you'll like it the way I make it, you have to try it". Hate to break it to you but news flash, number one, this is America, I DO NOT have to try your fish and pestering me isn't going to help the cause. Number two, I'm 30 freakin years old. Not old by any stretch, but come on, do you think I'm completely ignorant?! I don't like it. Period. Why is it such a goal or accomplishment for some people to be able cook food in such a way that someone who doesn't like that food can stomach it? <Rant off>
  3. How's the gas key look?
  4. It's more complicated than that. Grocery stores and convenience stores/gas stations can sell beer but only up to a legal limit on ABV%. After that it can only be found in liquor stores who can only sell beer that is over the legal limit for grocery stores/gas stations.
  5. Bag, I've gotten myself all confused, I'll let someone more knowledgable speak on the accuracy. Is it worth paying extra for? Up to you, I wasn't going to worry about it and was going to just go 5.56 then when I found the AR Stoner and it had everything I wanted in a barrel plus the Wylde chambering, I said I guess I'm going 223 Wylde! http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/.223_Wylde
  6. So jealous right now. That does look really clean, any chance for some more details(pics) on overall condition?
  7. I'm glad about the wine, now if we can get this going and ultimately get sales on Sunday, I'd call it good. I miss being able to buy booze at the rite aid or grocery store from the convenience, but I kind of like the liquor store industry here. I always get great advice where I go and the selection is great. Plus there are always sales and specials. Instead of saving whatever % with a Ralph's card I get better than 20% off at some places. Wish it could loosen up for them a little so they could at least sell more stuff. It has to hurt not being able to sell sundry items. But then I guess that's part of what makes the whole thing work.
  8. You can harvest one out of a used cement bender if you can find one at a pawn shop for cheap. They've got all kinds of magnets in em.
  9. I know, I know, I'm not from round here and usually don't dare anger the beast by mentioning how we do things back west. But seriously, blue laws suck the big one.
  10. Welcome home and thank you for your service. :USA:
  11. Check Home Depot next to the lumber stretchers and wood magnets. ;)
  12. Ditto, I eat out a lot and would love to spend some $$$ with a TGOer.
  13. I need to get one also...
  14. Hi Mike! TGO is a great place to share and learn more about any of the shooting sports. Welcome aboard!
  15. FTFY. Why not put them against each other.
  16. Not having a home phone has a few advantages. I get them at work all the time though, my favorites are "The FBI reports that every 15 seconds a home..." And even more than that "Hi this is Travis from Comcast and I'm following up on a request that someone there made for more information about our services." I haven't gotten one since the last time "Travis" called and I basically questioned his manhood trying to not only work a scam over on people, but not even a good scam at that. If you want the calls to stop, do whatever you have to do to get through to alive human, EVERY time they call and waste as much of their time as possible. It's not a great use of your time, but it will help make you feel better and it must work , Google hasn't called in weeks.
  17. It depends. I tend to do a bit of stocking up on things some times and that helps cut down consequent bills later on. I'll buy enough food to last about a month once every two months, but all things that keep well. Then I'll buy smaller amounts every week or two for more perishable items like milk and cheese. Being single I've found that the hardest part about shopping cheap is learning what keeps. I can't count the amount of bread I've thrown away to the birds because I get sick of sandwiches before I use the loaf. Buying the 1/2 loaf is a ripoff so I feed birds quite a bit. I buy a lot of soups, canned meat, beans/rice/noodles and frozen foods. I've also learned to get creative with spices so I don't have to buy many. It's pretty incredible what will taste good with Walmart brand taco seasoning when you're a cheapskate. The benefit to being single is that if I decide to eat rice beans and ramen for a week and a half so I can set up money for a big purchase, the only one I consult is the face I (don't) shave in the mirror. I can also get away with eating Capt'n Crunch for dinner for a month.. Not, uh, not that I have or anything...
  18. See I didn't go out and start buying guns as soon as I was able unfortunately. It was too much hassle when I had access to what I thought was better stuff already from my dad and friends dad who would unbelievably open their collections and say "have fun!" All you had to do was buy your own ammo and even then old Moe would usually give you an old tube sock or two full of 9mm. Missed out in some good stuff though. Mostly the milsurp is what makes me kick myself along with the funky old guns that used to seem to take up 1/2 a gun stores inventory. I should have bought every funky old gun I could for $100 - $300. Especially all the old rimfire over centerfire combination guns. One store always seemed to have 5-6 on hand for next to nothing. It wasn't so many years ago that I could count all the guns I owned personally on one hand. Oh well, I've made up for it I guess.
  19. Naw, just hadn't noticed the name change. Had to do a double take and make sure there wasn't someone else rocking that creepy avatar. :D
  20. Oh man that's too bad. I hope he recovers well and looks good in his new patch though, also glad it was not much more serious as an infection that close to the brain is a scary thing. I bet your right, if your dogs are anything like most I've know then your Doberman has likely stepped on his head numerous times with no issue. That looks like he was attacked. Poor little guy. :(
  21. Hey waidaminute, something's not right here...
  22. I try to rotate mine somewhat in what goes to the range. Even with that though I have guns I haven't shot in months, years or even ever. I'll hang onto them though, in some cases I don't know what I was thinking when I bought them, but I'm hoping that by them sticking around they'll jog the memory. its worth a shot anyway. Yeah of everything I've got there are maybe a handful that would really really hurt to lose and a few of those would come live with me under a bridge in a van down by the river before I'd let them go.
  23. None if our rights come from any amendment or even the constitution as a whole. That's why I've never given much thought to the idea of a constitutional convention in regard to the BOR. It doesn't matter what any person or group of people think, my rights were granted to me by my creator, just for being alive.
  24. I don't know. I don't hear about gangsters and thugs having too many ADs and they carry all the time, often with poor, incorrect fitting or no holste at all. If they can do it, I'm willing to bet most anyone with the desire and ability to carry a gun openly will be fine, and again it would seem statistics would back this up as we're not talking about anything new. Hope it all goes through.
  25. I don't think there's a buy scheduled anytime soon. There's going to be a TGO protech though if you want/need a new knife.
