Good find. I've had the pleasure of some extended time with a 66 and it is one of my favorites to shoot. A 65 would be sweet too.

I just hope they let Seth Macfarlanes team do the writing. The Simpsons writers have been coasting in neutral for some years now. Personally I thought the Futurama/Simpsons crossover would happen first. I'm a little disappointed that even after writing the book, they still haven't made the show.

Check out my Daughters school project!

Totally BA. -
That would look great, I'd be willing to spend a bit extra on it provided final pricing wasn't too much higher($25-$50?)

I think it's going to look great, I think just plain silver looks fine for the button personally, but the black MOP would look great too...

Of course, IANAL but I doubt very highly anyone makes an issue with it. Aside from the possibility that it is department property (and even then I would be willing to bet money they would approve wholeheartedly) I can't see it being any kind of legal issue unless you try using it in a manner that would lead a reasonable person to believe you were acting in a LE capacity. I think that's an excellent way to remember your friend. Sorry for your loss.

To tell the truth IMO it all hinges on that French pistol. As of now it doesn't seem like you'd be getting an equal end in this trade unless it is something special.

I vote tuxedo. snazzy!

That's 7 in about 2 hours. Willis, you've created a monster/s!

Then I am firmly in!
-
I'm in. I probably *can not* do it much sooner though. That would be my only issue.

It is, and ultimately cheaper than gun shows. You can sell, trade, and put up want ads everyday for a year for the same price as 2-3 gun shows. Plus I've never had an unpleasant experience with anyone from TGO. Well worth it IMO.

Meguires (sp?) makes a goo carnauba wax with or without silicone. I use it as a polish for all my nitro finished guit-fiddles. A $10 tin has lasted me almost a decade and will likely be thrown away half full a few weeks after they put me in the ground in some 40-50 years.

This x 1,000!

I don't mind giving, in fact I like it. I just prefer to give more directly. I just bought (not 20minutes ago) a sandwich for one of the homeless downtown. He is a local homeless that I see all the time and I always stop and chat with him if I have time. I have no problem giving to him. When he wants booze he'll say "how about helpin a man get a little sumtin ta drink?" and I've got no problem giving him a buck if I have it. Today he walked up to me rubbing his stomach and said "I am sure hungry" I said don't sweat it, give me a few hours and we'll have lunch. Couldn't find him when I left but I bought an extra sandwich anyway and some chips. Sure enough he was waiting when I got back from lunch, so I handed him his sandwich and chips and he thanked me and went off to chow down. I like that. I like having a direct impact where I can see my money doing what I want it to do. Officer Down and The Emerald Society are the only two "real" charities I donate. Would like to start sending to St. Jude as well. Maybe it's time to look at the Budget and see what I can afford.

AR 223/5.56 Scope for 600yds or less
TrickyNicky replied to lshel's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I just got a Bushnell AR 4.5-18. So far out of the box I like it, seems to work well for the $220 or so I paid. I'm hoping to take it out this weekend, so hopeful to can get back to you with a range report. I was going back and forth between this and a Nikon AR 3x12. Deciding factors for me were the higher magnification and adjustable parallax. I didn't know what function that last one would serve. Read up on it and thought I had the basic idea, why didn't someone just say it is basically a focus knob? Would have made my decision easier. Can't speak to whether it's going to be G2G for 600, but I'd be more confident it will do OK at 300 -
I'm excited for the grandfather. Hope I can afford it when the time comes. :x: I don't know if its been brought up yet, but I'd be really interested in a Sprint. That would be a handy little knife, plus they're already cheap! I also think that a black handle with matte blade Newport would be a great knife for when you need to get dressed up a bit.

My condolences to the family, but they need to get their heads out of their asses. This is above and beyond "out of character behavior". It would be "out of character" for me to show up at work tomorrow hungover. When you engage in life threatening behavior you can't cry foul when your life is threatened in response. Trying to make someone pay financially for justifiably defending themselves is just nothing more than opportunistic greed. If they really wanted to make a positive difference in the community they should focus on why "a good 'respectful' kid" would resort to armed robbery and not on disarming the people said kid is terrorizing.

Well its a shame. Glad they were available while they were though. If she doesn't pop into the thread herself, thank her for putting them together as long as she did. I can see how it would turn into a logistical PITA pretty quick.
-
Glad I stocked up on those when I could! I'm looking forward to installing one shortly. Do you think we might see them again at even close to the old price point if at all?

I'll wear earbuds sometimes when I don't want to socialize with anyone. I don't even plug them in though, their really just to keep people from trying to talk with me at Walmart. I also like letting the scammers looking for "gas money" think they've inconvenienced me by making me take them out while they give me their pitch. Most of the time I just start putting them back in and turn away mid way through the story without saying anything. Shuts them up and lets them know that I'm not buying it. Yeah its kind if a dick move, but so is trying to scam me out of my hard EARNED dough. Plus I would never be that rude to someone who wasn't obviously a meth/crack head.

Is this a fair price for 22LR and 9mm?
TrickyNicky replied to wileecoyote's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Like Wileycoyote, I haven't been watching too close on 22. I do remember when they lumped the Troy Landry ammo together with the weeble wobble target. As I recall the price was high, but I figured that by throwing in the target they were acknowledging that and trying to soothe the blow. Anywho, I guess I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on the 22. thing.
