  1. Had a black lab named Wilbur as a kid. There was also a Wilbur Street close by, my poor childish brain had a heck of a time being convinced the city didn't name the street in honor of my dog... Decades before either of our births. Wilbur is a great name! I miss you buddy :(
  2. Took me a minute to wrap my head around that. I like the idea, it seems as if it would be pretty easy to test on an sks...At least in theory... Assuming what you meant by "The piston will compress its spring first and impart a more steady impulse rearward into the bolt, throughout its travel, yet separating the reciprocating masses to eliminate harmonics." was that the results would be a smoother, lighter recoil with less stuff slamming around inside. If not I'm lost.
  3. I'd be happy with that, I never even get emails from them anymore and don't write down my order numbers. I just keep an eye on my checking account and know that once the charge goes through it will be here within a week. Unless I've ordered an upper in which case I try to forget I even bought it so I won't have to suffer the wait.
  4. The force is strong with this one... Excellent score brotha!
  5. You're 100% right. It really isn't feasible to do it all, but I've always thought they should be stricter around housing developments. I've seen first hand communities bitch and groan over brush clearing ordinances and then turn around and bitch that there wasn't enough being done about fire risk. Nimrods. I got evacuated once in the hills of southern CA. Chased by fire on a separate occasion while shooting in the desert. That was fun.
  6. In my experience it could already be in the mail. PSA is terrible with updates. I attribute that as balance for their awesome prices.
  7. Having done my share of craigslist deals I'm shocked by some people. It's almost like they want to be victims. I've had to explain to several people that I didn't want to meet at their house because it just wasn't safe for either of us. I've had nothing but positive experiences with TGO members, I use the itrader to gauge the proper level of paranoia when meeting with you guys. ;)
  8. I use hair clippers and am lucky to just keep the stragglers in check. I stopped shaving as a habit a few years ago. Now when I used to shave I tried creams and gels and ultimately just used conditioner. It works better than soap as shaving lube since it doesn't dry out your skin, and it helps keep the shower clear of clutter. I used the Gillette Mach 3 they sent me in the mail. I can't remember why they sent it, some kind if weird promo I guess, but I used their razors for a few years. Switched to electric a few times, stuck with it for a few years before stopping all together.
  9. Welcome sir! Thank you for your service to the community.
  10. No scarier words have ever been uttered. Or typed.
  11. Yeah, but I haven't ever been THAT drunk. And I've been pretty damn drunk...
  12. Apartments are tricky like that. You get lulled into thinking that because the space isn't large, there aren't a lot of places for stuff to hide. WRONG! At least I'm not the only one capable of losing a gun in about 900 square feet! Even if it is a trait I share with the next Methuselah. ;)
  13. Pancake was the alias of someone picked up in a prostitution sting about a month ago. Dustbuster and I are also having a private chat on the matter, so that may have influenced my last post. He seems to believe that particular Pancake was a ho, I seem to recall Pancake was a John. A google search has further clouded the matter. That about catches you up I recon.
  14. That's terrible news, I'm very sorry for your families loss. I'll be keeping you all in my thoughts.
  15. You may want to check your source, I thought Montgomery Pancake was a dude. I did a quick google search, and apparently there are a LOT of Pancakes out there, and they're all being arrested, even in the UK! Apparently UK Pancake pissed himself when 5-0 caught up up with him.
  16. sure buddy, we believe you... Speaking of which, was it you who snagged up Smiths VTAC?
  17. Finally someone's talking sense. While we're at it can we stop with the bacon covered donuts or chocolate coated bacon, bacon on ice cream, etc.? It's a lot like last summers radio hits, played out. I do like brown sugar baked bacon and or bacon weaves though. :yum:
  18. I've bought more ammo in 50 round boxes in the last year than I have in bulk packs. I've had an almost steady of 22lr that way... I look forward to buying nothing but bulk packs again, but in the meantime I've adapted. YMMV.
  19. It would be pretty great, but I don't think I've run into a situation in the last year were a knife that big wouldn't have made me look like some kind of lunatic. Guess I'll just stick to the regular sized pocket knife.
  20. Well, thinking it through further, I wouldn't find it strange for someone to have two guns, why not have two knives? And if you're going to have two knives, why not have one of them be bigger than you "need"? I'd have to be limited to the big folders, like the one Oh Shoot has. A belt knife at work wouldn't fly for a minute.
  21. Yup. Oddly enough that side if the change will have almost no effect on me at all. I would get some awful funny looks whipping out a huge knife at work. I'm way more excited to be able to carry auto knives. hurry Protech!
  22. You could do that to carry it cocked but unloaded, but if your carrying a semi you're going to need to rack the slide back anyway to chamber a round when ready to shoot. No real reason to do so twice IMO. Just leave it with an empty chamber and rack the slide when you draw.
