Well you might want to rethink that. Somehow I just don't see the staff here taking too kindly to someone showing up just to advertise their FB group. I'm not gonna join the dogpile, but questioning people's patriotism you've never met would be better practiced elswhere on the web (like Facebook) if you're looking to make friends and influence others.

For Red Dawn I'll take the AR and my M&P as well. Three capable rounds in a great utilitarian package.

I've got 2 of the AIM BCG. I'd be curious indeed to see if they cover firing pins in their lifetime warranty. I wouldn't expect them too, but we'll see and it doesn't hurt to ask.

I tried engine paint before the chalkboard stuff. Chalkboard paint is either more durable, or it sets and cures faster easier. Not sure which, but I managed to put a blemish in it pretty quick. The chalkboard stuff seems tougher , but I may have just done a better job prepping and curing when I used it.

I haven't seen them for the SR22, but I've looked at mine and I think you are correct. I may buy some stock followers and try to trim them back one of these days. GSG makes +2 followers for some of their pistols I believe.

My advice would be to search eBay and gbase for the same model/ condition guitar as your Taylor and find out what people are asking, and what they are actually selling for. Also I think the Taylor forum has a classifieds, you might check there or other acoustic forums to help establish a realistic price. (Not saying $1600 isn't, I don't know) once you got your price I'd list it on eBay on the high side with the option to hear offers. I advise to never use guitars as trade at Guitar Center, cash is king. Other stores you may do a bit better with, but it's generally the same or worse than trading guns with a gun shop. Unless you have something very special or you just really need the money, it's not worth it.

I've looked at a few and have mixed feelings on them all. The Henry seems to be an all around nice rifle. My only gripe with it is not having a loading gate. Not a super big deal I guess for a range gun, but then I like being able to top it off on the fly. I've shot a friends Marlin and really liked it a lot. Excellent rifle all the way around. Only issue with these is finding them locally for a good price. Especially if you want an older one, and it seems pretty unanimous that everyone wants older ones. I like the Rossi, at least on paper. I'd like to see one at some point to see how they feel. If the action was tolerably slick and the fit and finish was clean I could see myself with one. Realistically it will probably come down to whichever is in stock when I decide I can't live without one. :rolleyes:

+1. It's easy enough that I can do it and is actually a good looking finish IMO.

Is it a hardwood of some kind? Mahogany maybe?

Looking at the pics, I would wait until the missing part arrives and test fit. If it's still loose, go ahead and and plug it, but the spacer might fill the gap perfectly.

Well for once I was a good boy. Didn't order even a single one. I was tempted, but I've got some back orders due in from Brownells and some other stuff due from PSA any week now. Besides, I'm on my 4th build now, and still have another to knock out, and that's all just preparation for doing my TGO build. (Yes I still have my TGO CMT upper and lower sitting around waiting their turn.) I think by the time I'm done with those I'll be at 6 ARs including the one I'm building with/ for my brother. I think 6 may just be enough of one platform. Especially considering I never cared much for ARs in the first place prior to owning one. :rolleyes: Sure was tempting though, even still.

Drill it smooth and wood glue in a dowel then re-drill. Quick easy and a strong repair.

My dad led some Nugerian scammers around once for quite awhile. He had compiled the emails together into one transcript at one point, but aparently it's been missing for years. Too bad, it was pretty funny to start out with and near hilarious at the end when he just started getting completely ridiculous. It was full of stuff you'd catch in a second here, for instance; after clearing it with his personal physician, the good Dr. Pepper, old dad had them convinced at one point that he and his attorney Mr. Goodbar and were planning to head to Nigeria in person to handle the delicate matter of the princes seazed fortunes. His accountant, Mr. Pibb would be on call stateside. In his first responding email he expressed his extreme displeasure that the gentleman had addressed him so informally. After all, his title may only be an honorary one, but one he is quite proud of nonetheless. My fathers "official title" you ask? Why, the Duke of York of course. Or some other nonsense, either way the circumstances of the appointment were absurd. Equally absurd was the guy went ahead and called him your excellency or whatever. Have fun with the new hobby! ;)
