  1. Not worth it. I use the microwave for most about everything pre made and frozen. Oven is only marginally better overall and not worth the wait. If I want a higher quality meal it won't have cost $2.50 and come from the Walmart freezer. The only exception is "full" sized pizza like tombstone or digorno, and anything breaded or meant to be fried.
  2. My nails are filthy and I do clean under them. I bet you use your knife for a lot more than that though.
  3. :Shake: :slap: :stick:  Psst, Bersa, they're called Asian these days, and I don't think over met one in America with the taste for cat. you're behind the times.
  4.    Agreed with Enfield, and for what its worth, I'm not a hunter at all of any kind. The thing that most people don't seem to think about in regards to trophy hunting is that the object is to go for trophy animals. Trophy animal is another way of saying old animal. When animals get old it means two things; 1. They have done their job. They have contributed to the gene pool, helped balance the population of their prey/food, and are in their last years. 2. Old animals die. In nature death is ugly, typically brought on by infection, starvation, or "removal" via younger/aggressive/mating members of the population. One thing is guaranteed, it's not going to be pleasant or pretty. Most likely much more unpleasant than being harvested. I used to have a dislike for the idea of trophy hunting, then I talked to some trophy hunters and read a book on trophy deer, it opened my eyes.
  5. Read the same book. Gaston comes off as an arrogant asshat in it IMO. I'm also not shocked.
  6. That's how an EDC knife aught to look IMO. I see YouTube videos if guys with EDC stuff that looks NIB and can't help but wonder, do they use these badass knives for ANYTHING besides cleaning under their nails?
  7. Congratulations! I'm not quite sure what it all means but it sure sounds like an achievement! Also sounds like you got a good wife there.
  8. So is there a secret code or handshake involved with them? My dad just called to ask about the revolvers and was told that not only are they not yet for sale, but there was no info on models, condition, or pricing. I don't doubt that you bought one, but how?
  9. Sadly I don't think these are anti gunners. They are the same kind of bafoon that thinks they're helping the medical marijuana movement by dressing in their finest stained tye-dye and doing bong loads at the state capital and blasting Phish out of their weak ass Prius sound systems. These kind of idjits exist on both the right and left it seems.
  10. Here's one with their laser stock a bit cheaper. Probably come out to the same after transfer, maybe a bit cheaper. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/10-22-rifle-with-lasermax-11129.html Here's a Remington 597 for well under $200. I like the 597 really well, excellent shooters for the cost and IMO mostly on par with the 10/22. The 10/22 takes a lead in reliability, but for me the fact that the 597 is closer to a full sized rifle more than makes up for it. I have them both and shoot them both, the 10/22 is handier, the 597 is more comfortable to shoot and accurate. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/firearms-clearance/remington-597-22lr-synthetic-stock-20-barrel.html
  11. Donation made. Poor little fella :( , I hope it helps.
  12. I've lost way too many knives. Sometimes I find them, sometimes after so long I've forgotten I had them in the first place. I'm hoping my spyderco will turn up one of these days. I've been getting much better about hanging onto them, my current kershaw has been serving my well for about 3 years now and I don't think I've lost it yet. I did find a different kershaw a month or so back that had been missing for over a year. I had to wear "nice" pants to an interview and as soon as I got home I kicked the khakis off and threw them in the closet. Didn't pocket check first so imagine my surprise when I dug out my nice pants for my sisters graduation and found my "fancy" knife. I'm hoping that I'll be more responsible with my protechs, I don't know if they will be true EDC knives based on their value, monetary and sentimental.
  13. It's funny, the one consistent with BSA in my experience is that if you have decent rings you'll have a decent scope. I've only had some of their lower end air rifle/.22 scopes and most of them weren't great, but considering how badly we used and abused our air rifles it is impressive how well they held up. The last scope of theirs I used was a rimfire model with green/blue/red reticle and was actually really nice for what it was.
  14. I've got a scar on my left index nuckle from a razor sharp kbar. I barely, and I mean barely tapped it and the skin just parted like the Red Sea. Not much blood, just an 1/2" V shaped wound. A real beaut too.
  15. Where are a few pics, I'll let Sidewinder give his captions on them.
  16. I wouldn't consider it a dick move at all. If all he asked was who's the guy with gun, I say no harm no foul.
  17. I hate it for the pooch but you should call animal control and have it picked up for testing. They may opt to destroy the animal which is a shame, but if you have real concerns and blood was drawn it is the safest bet IMO. Id also advise that you have words with the owner, but I'm sure that's on your to do list already.

Ok, you tubed the song, that was actually pretty neat. I still don't get the joke though?
  20. I've got the strikefire and SPARC from Vortex, like em both. PSA has good deals on both, here's a SPARC with lower for $160. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/blemished-psa-bullet-pictogram-lower-and-vortex-sparc-optic.html Hard to beat that if you can put the lower to good use.
  21. Did some today. Charlie's was near empty and gorgeous weather for it.
  22. I've had a few rats before. I grew way more attached to them than my old hamster. One of them was originally a feeder rat that for some reason my roommates snake wouldn't touch. We left it in the cage for a day on a few seperate occasions and would come back to find them quite contentedly ignoring one another. We put him in an old hamster cage and noticed he really took a shine to the running wheel and especially seemed to like showing off by running in front of an audience. I called him Wheelie Gonzalas. I also had a rat back in highschool named Pedro and he would go to school with me in my jacket pocket. I could put him on top of my hat and he'd ride around up there happy as can be. Either there or perched on my shoulder seemed to be his two favorite places. Pedro and I used to gross people out when I'd hold a cracker in my teeth and let him nibble the end. I think rats make great pets if you like rodents.
