  1. That's pretty much it. I seldom look for anything particular, though am at the moment. I usually wait for something to pop up that strikes my fancy, or as happened with my VTAC, someone remembered me posting about wanting one and reached out when he sold his. I've had a few members do that, coincidently all benefactors. I think that alone says something about the benefits of TGO membership.
  2. Mine is still waiting on the perfect idea. Not sure what I'm going to do yet at all. It was going to be my 300 blk but even thoughive got some pretty good parts set aside for it I think I'm going to just build it on a PSA set I have floating around. I want the TGO to be a really special rifle.
  3. It's the alliance. As one we are weak, together we are undeniable.
  4. You've never seen someone good at using one. It's damn near seemless. The clip ejection was brilliant.
  5. I believe the term is paraphrasing. 5 stars for everyone.
  6. Of the two I'd probably opt for the Wilson tactical. I think the PSA *might* have slightly more potential to unlock with a longer barrel, but the Wilson has the 1/8 twist better suited to across the board accuracy. If you were looking to build a rifle specifically with firing heavier or lighter loads I imagine you could milk a bit more accuracy with a twist rate suited to said weight, but don't know that for sure, just guessing.
  7. I think about moving further away from the city all the time. The commute would be terrible though, not worth it for me either yet, but I'm looking forward to the day I can get out.
  8. Yes yes, the alliance is begun!!! We will crush our enemies, see their star counts driven before us, and hear the lamentation of their women!*   *name that movie for 5 stars
  9. Agreed. After all was said and done it cost me about $100 to send as many rounds down range with an UZI. Not something I'll likely do again, but I'm glad I got to try it once. I guess it comes down to how much the groupon cost and how flush you are with223. Actually, you'd better do it, it was very cool of your wife to set that up for you two, don't want to let her down.
  10. Lock Stock and Barrel isn't to far away. Can't speak personally for their smithing but the gentlemen I talked to certainly sounded like they had been around the block as far as smithing. I was also impressed by their service, I went in looking far a specific gun that I'd heard they might have. They didn't, but told me they would look into them a bit and call me with some general info on the gun as I knew little about them except I wanted one. Long story short, I was still in the parking lot looking for another shop on my gps when they called and gave me a rundown on production years and Bluebook values. Nice guys. Your also not far from Jeff at guns & leather. Well worth the drive to go see him and the Guns & Leather sales floor.
  11. Agreed. Not too great for those of us sitting on a bakers dozen of rimfire weapons in the collection already though. Still, I'm glad the kids will be more likely to gets chance to shoot now. And I guess there are a few 22. guns out there I could still buy. ;)
  12. There's actually something you DONT own?! I haven't got one either. I'm officially starting a fund to have one by the end of summer. I wish I'd just sell some stuff and go buy one, but that probably ain't gonna happen to be realistic.
  13. Now I'm at 3 stars. WTF guys? You're giving me a complex here. If this is how its gonna be, none of you all are safe. (Except TMF. One hand washes the other. ;)
  14. Very sorry to hear the news. Far to young and he sounds like a hell of a guy. I'll keep him and his family in my thoughts, his friends (including those here) as well. Very sad.
  15. Best friend has a Nova tactical. IMO it eats 870s and 500s for lunch. Vey nice weapon with some great features, and for me more comfortable to shoot than others, especially with buck and slugs. Being able to empty /open the chamber without bringing a new shell into play is a very handy feature. I've heard some people poopoo it by saying what if it happens during a firefight. Not an issue IMO as the button is slightly recessed and takes enough effort to engage that you know you are doing it. Guess it could happen by accident, but unlikely. Only issue is they're a bit heavier as I recall than a regular 870. Not a big deal for me. When I'm next in the shotgun market I'll be grabbing one if these.
  16. I have no stars, guess I suck. :(
  17. Not ONLY shirtless, but it does improve the odds by about 80-85% I'd guess. At least!
  18. Seriously, if that's someone here take a bow!
  19. So I'd like to solve the puzzle. You are the "junkyard dog" correct? If not, can I still buy a vowel? At least your grammar is better in this article than the last.
  20. Just tell them you're afraid of three headed monkeys. If they have any follow up questions just point over their shoulder and yell " there's one now!" They'll probably look because based on the fact that they asked you that question, they're probably stupid. While their looking for Bingo the three headed monkey you should be able to egress. If you really want to screw with them tell them its doctors orders and walk away while they try to figure that one out.
  21. It's the most popular rifle in America. They can damn it all they want, won't change anything.

I've done it a few times to my mkiii but only once to my 22/45. I'll probably clean them both again some time before 2020... Maybe.
