Cleaning and/or restoring a pocket knife (Case)
TrickyNicky replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Naval jelly works great, but I'd be worried about a reaction with the grips. Not that I know it will react mind you, just cautious. What are the handles made out of? Seems they've used a bit of everything over the years... I cleaned up a few old knives last year with Ballistol. Safe on damn near everything and does a good job on light rust. A little 0000 steel wool, a few qtips and an old rag/ flannel. It's easy. -
Well I checked my "Things to give a crap about" list twice, then again a third time to be sure.... Yup, nothing comic book related on the list under subsection "Elevate heart pressure"... I'll think I'll be more concerned over the fact that a Saiga is now out of my price range, 300 people died on a shot down plane, our economy is in the toilet, and today is laundry day. :leaving:

Good deed for the week-- took a liberal yankee to the range!

It's a good start  I don't know if I was born loving guns or if it's a product if being around them all my childhood, I just genuinely don't understand a dislike of them. I don't get it, and personally feel weirded out by those that don't. -
I started scrolling through it and had to stop to keep from laughing when I got to the part about exploiting tragedy. They point fingers at the NRA?!

Someone might want to give Charlie a heads up on all this...

I'm buying from LGS and have rarely bought a brick since Xmas. I have scored on MANY 50 round boxes, quite a few 100 round, and even a bucket'o bullets too. It's out there, just different than before. I won't be selling any guns anytime soon, heck I'd probably start with the Enfield first, you want to talk hard to find/expensive for what was a common as dirt not too long ago...

That was even worse than I had thought it would be. What a piece of crap, I'm glad I haven't sullied a copy of RS for years.
-
Personally I would have smiled and waived when the guy in the chair started hollering. Never try to beat a dumbass at their own games.

Host it to photobucket or another hosting site, copy the link that starts and ends with "img" and post that link here. Welcome to the party!

Lookin real good. I might just have to give this a go. I've got a few A2 grips I chopped the nub off of and while they feel oh so much better now, they look like someone hacked and carved them with a pocket knife. Which I did do :D

^^^ that's awesome!

Go look at a few in person and buy what you like most. We're talking rimfire here so the odds it will be your only one are slim. I have and enjoy a 10/22, a Remington 597, a Henry youth lever gun, a Romanian M69 trainer, 2 conversion kits for my ARs (which if you have an AR is the way I'd go). You can't go wrong on any of those.

Wow is he getting big! He still looks comfortable enough being held though.

Oh yeah, can't forget garlic. You know, a good plain cheese pizza hits the spot along with good old pepperoni. Now I'm hungry.

Can't remember which one it was that was there when I came up, but I do recall that you all had about the best mannered little dog I've met. Usually little dogs are too nervous for me, but yours were quite content to get belly runs within a few minutes of sitting down as I recall. Hopefully the pups caught the positive demeanor. Oh and congrats, I can smell the puppy breath from here. :)

There is no best pizza. Having said that, try a thin crust, light sauce, artichoke, feta, pepperoni, and if a 4th topping is possible, green olive. Nice light pizza.

Glad your pooch is home safe and sound.

Probably not the kind of response you were looking for, but I'd list it just because it takes 5-10 minutes, won't cost ya anything, and there are lot of people who only go to the classifieds here and not the other boards. What do you have to lose?

Looking like a good start bro. You going to do the side charging mods yourself?

Any of you guys cook and eat armadillos?
TrickyNicky replied to Grand Torino's topic in General Chat
Yeah, I'd give it a shot at least. I never would have thought I'd like tripe, and while I don't really, I can eat it if cooked right and rather enjoy it in menudo.
