  1. Did you record it? We want to hear...
  2. Never mind... Confused manufacturers for a second.
  3. Yeah but the online poll shows 51% of people didn't cry when they saw it. And we all know an online poll is unquestionable correct...
  4. You'd think that wouldn't ya...
  5. I'd imagine the new Bersa would be more comfy due to size and weight, but the 40 is a snappy cartridge in my limited experience. I'm guessing you'll be able to shoot it fine, but may not enjoy shooting it. Only time and lead down range shall tell. The big question lol. This weekends already looking crazy, but I'm hoping I'll be free early Sunday. I'll definitely let you know ASAP though.
  6. Sweet! I've still got to get up there and try that .380 out too... Maybe I should grab a box of .40 to bring up too.... :x:
  7. Shoot me a pm as long in advance as you can to set a time place and date. We'll have fun.
  8. And I for one am glad he's going for it. I probably wouldn't do it personally, so this way at least I get a range and function report from someone who's word I would trust. Plus if it bothers anyone that much, they don't have to shoot it if Capbyrd were to bring it to a TGO shoot. :x:
  9. If it weren't serious, it would almost be comical watching them spin some of them too.
  10. I'd say a private ceremony would be a more fitting way personally, but then I'm really just trying to be good on this one. I personally won't honor his send off anymore than I honored this mornings BM before I flushed it...
  11. Yeah, he lost me here: ">>A coalition of Blacks, Latinos, Feminists, Gays, Government Workers, Union Members, Environmental Extremists, The Media, Hollywood, uninformed young people, the "forever needy," the chronically unemployed, illegal aliens and other "fellow travelers" have ended Norman Rockwell's America." Like Bersa, I think there are some good points here, but the underlying theme here seem to be IMHO "Things aren't the way they once were. I want things to be the way they once were." I'd agree that there are a lot of things these days I'm not so crazy about, but the idea of wanting to plunge us all back as a society into the 40's - early 60's seems really stupid to me. I also can't help but wonder about these messages when I get them. It strikes me funny that so many people in their 50's and 60's want to go back to the way things were in the 50's and 60's. I think there's a lot of folks this age wearing their rose colored glasses looking back at those years. One thing to keep in mind while reminiscing, if you were a child in a given decade, odds are strong you're not remembering all there was to it. Case in point, I look back fondly at the mid-1980's as a simpler, safer time where kids could play in the streets unsupervised till past dark, there wasn't so much crap in our food, people were nicer, air was cleaner, etc. It's all about perspective. I'd also invite the author to spend some time outside of a city more often. Little bits of the Norman Rockwell American dream are still spread out all over this country.
  12. I had to run it around in my head a few times before I got it too. You're in good company. ;)
  13. What does it being on MLK blvd. have to do with the gun being lost/stolen? And do you really think a cop pulling in 50k+ a year is going to jeopardize that for the 250-300 street value of his weapon? I know its possible, but I'm inclined to give the benefit if the doubt to any officer unless more evidence than "it was in LA and on MLK blvd" can be had. As to the shotgun on a bike, that's standard for lots of departments. They need them on bikes for the same reason they need them in cars, when TSHTF you'll want more than a pistol. I'd issue them an SBR'd ar15 personally. Oh and Ca police are exempt from the magazine bans. I think I still have a few of my dads 92 mags for proof.
  14. What's truly laughable about the whole thing is he thought he was not welcome *before* by the SEAL community.... I'm sure it will be all open arms and high fives now.
  15. I hear it was to the tune of 1.8 million. Karma's a bitch. I hope JV loses 1.9 million within the month on some equally petty BS.
  16. There's no helping me either apparently  Can someone tell me what the heck DHITP means already? You can PM me if its vulgar... I'm with Hozzie at this point, ain't nothing else can be said at this point that will make it any clearer, and I'm willing to bet that deep down luke knew the answer before he ever even clicked start new topic.
  17. Nifty! All mine are packed up somewhere, I'll have to dig them out one of these days and see if I have anything out of the ordinary.
  18. Building is super easy. I used a YouTube video and it took me 45 minutes my first try. That was taking it slow and cleaning grease off the parts as I went. There are a few tools involved you may or may not have. You'll need a decent set if punches($71-$12 @harbor freight), a lower receiver block was handy, but I think you cold do it without it($12-$20 amazon), decently long screwdriver/allen wrench for the grip, and an ar armorers wrench. A box cutter blade, some decently durable tape, and a large ziplock bag all proved immensely helpful. I'd call D&T arms first thing. I'd be willing to bet if they have any lowers in at all they will make them worth your drive.
  19. Hate to say it, but it sounds like you need another pistol more suited to CC. Darn, another pistol. Check out the M&P Shield for a great concealable piece, the M&PC or Glock 19 might be good choices also, easier to hide than what you've got with the 92 and more like a full sized shooter, if that's what your looking for. A good j frame 38 might also be a good bet. I'm really wanting a 3" SP101 lately for some reason. It would hide well and still be pleasant enough to shoot recreationally.
  20. Ditch the fiancé pronto. Mr. Michigan is likely all talk, don't aggravate the situation by responding. You don't need the drama or BS. Don't think for a second you owe him an explanation on the sudden dropped comms either. Just start saving any threatening or criminally incriminating emails. I imagine you can report him to both the local police and FCC, but I'd be willing to bet that he won't hang around stalking you once he gets the idea that you're not going to play back.
  21. Don't get me started buddy, I know your pain.
