  1. I'm pretty sure I have some of this at home. I can check tonight and let you know what I paid from Nashville Armory who is a little on the high side, but IMO all around fair on pricing.

    Potato guns

Have had several over the years. Denatured alcohol is a great propellant. Cleaner than hair spray and more effective too.
  3. I do, but I only carry it my car when I'm not wanting to carry on my person for whatever reason. I carry it in a repurposed Nikon camera case, the main section holds the revolver and the lens/film areas hold I think 3 more speed loaders.
  4. I read the thread title and my heart sank. :( Glad it was just a history article. :)
  5. I like the AR stoner barrels just fine. There seem to be a few things they kind of got a not so great rap for, but by and large it seems to be good stuff. It's midways house brand of AR stuff so it's coming from multiple different manufactures. I doubt you have any problems out of it.
  6. I'm not an expert by any means at all, wouldn't know the genuine article out if a line up even. This looks to be an excellent informative source if some info that may help establishing if this is a military knife or not. Worth a read I imagine. http://www.swordforum.com/forums/showthread.php?77657-The-20th-Century-British-Military-Pattern-Gurkha-Issue-Kukri&s=339cd795451efb87f0d4dbd500bfe019
  7. Unfortunately a much more realistic scenario is Ca splitting into 3-5 states and gaining additional seats in the house. Wouldn't be so bad as some parts of Ca are more conservative than others, but there seems to be at least one major libtard city in each of the proposed states. When I lived there I said for years that a North Ca/ South Ca split would be better than having the fat cats in Sacramento dictating our lives in La, the sad truth is that fat cats are everywhere just waiting for the opportunity to enforce their beliefs through way of law.
  8. I'd be willing to bet even money that he had something on his person more verboten than a gun... As soon as he knew he was getting a cavity check he booked it. Could be wrong but it would make a lot if sense.
  9.    Oh and these gentlemen are correct, I don't use one on either if mine.
  10. Which one did you end up with K? Your other thread has left me wanting to jump on a few more just for fun.
  11. Well they're nice enough pistols and there is a fix out there for them to get them running well, and apparently they work ok with steel cased ammo so it's not all bad news on them. I'd pick up another at the right price, but can probably say that about anything really I guess
  12. If they're anything like my star model B they aren't reliable enough for defense period. Mine is one that was built around the Largo9mm and later converted to 9mmLuger. I don't know if the super models have any if the same issue or not, no idea. I can tell you that manually cycling mine is more reliable than actually firing it, crazy as it sounds. After reading a link Dolomite sent me I've determined mine needs too much money to be anything but a neat old gun in the safe that gets taken out once a year, cussed at for not working, cleaned, admired, and back in the safe. It's a sweet shooter when it does work though.
  13. It's all good. :) it's my issue for using a phone as a computer lol. I'll give it a watch this evening, thanks.
  14. Can someone tell me the name of the video? Link doesn't work on the phone...
  15. I disagree with the later part though I can't find a fault with the former. I disagree that the exposure to movies and music is a leading contributing factor to much anything wrong with young people today. I'm still clinging bitterly to the concept that I'm a young person so I'll just use myself as an example, I've been exposed to about every tasteless song, filthy movie, crass television show, violent video game, or what have you that anyone else would be and have never punched out an old man over an ass chewing. I think it gets rationalized or explained in many ways and forms, but at the end of the day I think some people are just pieces of shit plain and simple. That's why there are rich pieces of shit, and poor pieces of shit, white pieces of shit and black pieces of shit. Brown ones, yellow ones, red ones, pink ones, and on and on. Nothing turned them the way they are, except maybe possibly some social/ economical situation that maybe isn't helping, but even to that end some people will never cease to disappoint if left to their own devices. Try an experiment on yourself if you want some proof, spend the next six days listening to old NWA records and playing grand theft auto 5. I'll bet you a nickel that it doesn't turn anyone here into a hardened criminal no matter how many hookers you run over on your tv. As to swearing, its like using big fancy words or metaphors, there's a time and a place to use them to make your point, don't let swear words become a substitution for a vocabulary, make them additions to it.
  16. The KAK is not a copy of the KX3 in anything but looks. The KAK is basically just got a funnel shape inside while the Noveske apparently has an interior chamber or baffle. The KAK is friggin heavy, but I understand the noveske is too. I have the KAK and Levang on 2 different ARs and like them each so far. They do seem to make a noti inlet difference when I used them on a 22lr pistol loaded with subsonics shot almost right into the ground. No fancy measurements, and a poor test really but it convinced me.
  17. Honestly I thought the first one was way funnier, damn impressive, but hilarious.
  18. Kingston Springs may be a bit of a drive, but I don't think there's anything that can be done to a 1911 that Tim Calhoun can't do. I've never had him do any work for me, but I drool anytime someone posts his work. http://www.calhouncustomfirearms.com
  19. Lol I'm a happy bachelor. There are similar projects happening on about every flat surface of my two story two room man cave. :D although I do let crap pile up a bit too much admittedly. I have the better part of a dozen 1/2 completed projects around here.
  20. That was EXCELLENT! Thanks for posting, I'm a big Eddie Cochran fan and these were well done!
  21. Yeah, Hipower has that effect. Chat him up a little and all of a sudden your in the market for something you'd barely given previous thought too. Of course, the rest of you all aren't much better... and some are actually worse for your wallet to talk too! :stunned:
