I need to recheck my emails, I only know about the GP100 and the .357 red hawk? I want to see a factory bain and davis convertible, but I won't hold my breath.
  3. I don't really have anything to say here, I just thought we all might enjoy this again...
  4. I thought I saw him on here not too long ago. Hope he is on the mend if medical issues are a factor. Mike is good people.
  5. George does great leather work, holler at him and you wont be disappointed. He's got a few orders ahead of yours just now though
  6. When are coming back? We need more pics!
  7. Sorry for your loss, sounds like your grandpa was a hell of a man. Leave the Colt as it is, it looks near perfect from what I can see.
  8. My parents watch the Hallmark ones. I watched what felt like one 17 hour mind number. Come to find out it was actually 2 different movies and only lasted about 4 hours. I managed to suppress most of the memories so far, but cheap gin, diet mountain dew and children's cough syrup will only numb pain for so long. I do seem to recall a few things, Shirley MacLaine and some other lady were angels, but people could see the other lady, but not Shirley. Some dude kissed the other one, which was gross since she died pretty early on in the movie and way before they locked tongues anyway. Shirley said she spies on her still living husband and uses angel powers to keep the women in his apartment building away from him. She wants to see him lonely. He probably pushed her down the stairs. I love the holidays.
  9. that $30 C&R is starting to get expensive now huh? They have a way of doing that.
  10. It's a race hole for air cooling the system and prevents drag created by microvacuums allowing for maximum cyclic rate. It also lets water drain.
  11. Nice! I haven't played a Starfield but I really do like my MIJ Tokai. Super, SUPER guitars. The Japanese really know their way around a guitar for sure. I sold my les paul custom after buying the tokai. It's a better built guitar, plain and simple. I wouldn't worry about a laminated body too much if it sounds good. Lots of great tunes got recorded with Gibsons from the same time period where they were building laminated Les Pauls as well.
  12. Man, I hadnt checked TGO and went out and bought a new cell phone. First sight I logged onto was here and I was making a real idiot of myself in hindsight at the store. "Wow, just look how different everything looks on this phone!" "The colors are more vibrant and the whole layout looks different!" It wasn't until I got home and logged in on the computer that it dawned on me.
  13. It used to get a bit rowdy around here apparently. Our warehouse staff moved to a different location and took the party with them, but I was here for one year of it. Drinking, smoking, all kinds of general merriment last year that I had to watch but not partake in being up at the front of the store. This year rumor has it we are getting Popeyes chicken, so while it wont be as fun as watching drunkards arm wrestling over the last slice of pizza, at least it'll be chicken.
  14. This thread needs more pics...
  15. That's the one.
  16. We rock
  17. I almost forgot the most important part! get some pics up in our guitar players thread in the backstage.
  18. Wow. For $400 you stole it. I built a guitar using one of those in a different color as a base and paid more for just the body and hardware. The Aztec gold is one of my favorite finishes too. The 'fat 50's pickups' are a nice little upgrade from the norm IMO, that means they are made to sound like vintage spec pickups from the late 50's. Honestly it's mostly marketing hype IMO, but there are better pickups than others out there and yours are very good, they are the main reason I went with the body I bought. I would second the notion of getting the guitar checked out and setup. It's not rocket science to do it yourself, but especially on a strat with a tremolo, there are a lot of little factors involved in achieving a good setup. I would at least recommend a copy of any of Dan Erlewines books so you can learn how all the parts relate to each other and talk turkey with your tech a little easier. I also second the little roland amps, they are great. I used to have a little roland of my own and while I have 'nicer' stuff now, it was really great to grab and throw in a trunk and bang around town. Most important of all is to have fun and hang in there. EVERYONE has a hard time in the beginning, and the beginning lasts years. It's a life long learning process that is a total blast.
  19. Working fine for me on safari. FYI.
  20. I had one of the sparcs, got it on sale a few years ago and sold or traded it to another TGOer a year or so after. An illuminated 1-4 turned out to be better for what I wanted, but as far as it's worth, the vortex was great. I probably shouldn't have traded or sold it, but at least the new owner seems to really like it. I also had one of their other red dots, the strikefire maybe? It was also great for the price. It lives on my brother carbine I built for him now.
  21. You're missing the rear sight. I've seen this before, a yellow dot front and a blue dot for the rear. When everything is lined up correct you get a green dot on target. Super low drag-high speed stuff here.
  22. I think metalhead usually spearheads the TGOSS. I haven't seen him on much lately though.
