  1. Probably goes without saying but I'd put some calls in to the local music shops too and give them a heads up. If the thief is savy enough to use google it may even end up on eBay. I'd also make some time to start scouring craigslist as well. If you want, PM me your number and I'll shoot you a text if I come across it at all.
  2. That would be a death sentence. Everyone knows 2 x .22 = .44 and while the .44 is still .45-1, it's still close enough to do some real damage. ;)
  3. $22 is a good deal and the federal match is some of my favorite .22 ammo. Enjoy the score!
  4. Me too. My pics really suck. I've got rifles I've never even shown off because the camera sucks so bad
  5. So, 2 pages in and no pics?! :waiting:
  6. That's why your here. It's why we're all here. Hi, I'm TrickyNicky and I'm a gun addict.
  7. The more I look at it if I came across a used one <$100 I'd jump on it I think. It just looks like a cool potential project.
  8. Now I'm not arguing the beauty side of it, but I could think of worse thinks to own than an essentially devalued yet fully functional BAR. If running a .308 during 3 gun is heavy metal, what would the '06 be? Pure awesome BA, that's what.
  9. Maybe. Ones more what I would consider a use and abuse kind of shooter, the others going to be a neat old gun that works but may or may not be something you want to take out and shoot a whole lot. I'd probably hang into the Star, but I like old guns with soul.
  10. Yeah it's an ugly little bugger, but it does look handy and with a little work could be a keeper, you never know.
  11. How something prints in a pocket has nothing to do with NFA status though. My little keltec in a desantis pocket holster looks like a wallet too. I still think it's just a blocky pistol and a far cry away from the wallet guns.
  12. I don't see it. This is a square blocky design sure, but those were and are blatant attempts at disguising a gun as something else, this just happens to be squarish. I don't think this is something I'm interested in, but kudos to Taurus for breaking the mold anyway instead of adding one more section of rail to a 1911 and calling it a new gun.
  13. Nice dude! Congrats on getting out of the store and in to your hands. I'd like to have one at some point, but a lot of other stuff has to get checked off the list first.
  14. All the suggestions to build rimfire ammo are about the equivalent to telling an out of work carpenter to take his tools and fill a plumbing or brick laying position. Wouldn't make a bit of sense.
  15. Different strokes for different folks. I even know a fella who OCs a HiPoint at the gas station. Maybe all he can afford, maybe all he wants to lose in an evidence locker if he has to shoot some punk ass robber.
  16. PSA had some for under $90 not long ago. 16" 1/8 with a pistol gas length and nitride finish. I'd keep an eye out and see if they get more of a similar spec in. I got one and I'm very pleased with the quality for the price.
  17. Looks great. I just did a pistol build awhile ago and am constantly surprised by how heavy it is compared to how little it is. For me a lot of the weight is in the cheap rail I got, I'm looking at replacements now... How does yours balance, and have you given much though to single/ double slings at all?
  18. Ultimately this^. My brother was an eom kid for awhile in the late 90's early 2000's. Used to give three rations of crap daily about the hair and clothes and music and all. One day we were shooting the shit and he clued me in that it was really all about the chicks at his school and what they liked. I have to admit, he has certainly had more female admirers than I have, so maybe there's something to it. Keep in mind I the 80's the guys that dressed the most like women got the most action then too...
  19. Very nice. A good 308 is on the list for sure and I can't see any reason to stray from the AR platform with the prices being so low these days. I'd like an FAL, but it seems like the glory days for getting good ones cheap is over. On a side note I have a utg pro rail on my 300 build and can't fault the quality in any way. The handguard mounting isn't as robust as some other designs maybe, but I think others are sometimes a bit redundant.
  20. Lots of choices. Here's a little reading to give you some ideas. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/50749-official-cosmoline-removal-thread/ Depending on how bad it is, or I guess isn't, a rag and some mineral spirits may be all you need.
  21. That looks amazing man! Very functional and fine enough to showcase Grand Torrinos fine crafanship. Awesome, awesome, awesome.
  22. Good for you leaving it for the next guy. I've left some and taken some off and on depending on my supply, the amount on the shelf and which shelf it is. At this rate I'm really just happy seeing mostly full ammo counters and cases available for sale again locally. The rimfire situation will and I think already has begun righting itself. It will be a long time before bricks are gathering dust on shelves, but I think its safe to leave a little around this point if your flush.
