Those are by far the sexiest ugly guns I can think of. :yum:

Dang! That's faster than it took them to get me my last order which was all just stuff that should have been on a shelf. That's super quick.

Nice! Looks like you could wipe a gnats behind with a 55 grain piece of copper TP at 100yards!

For $25.00 it seems like a fair option. I haven't got anything left to put one on for now, but that has definitely piqued my interest.

Other my grandpas had some hearing issues, but it's hard to say if that was due to exposure in the war, or working factory jobs or what. Most likely both. My moms dad I remember blaming it on the guns in WWII, but he was a gunner on an aircraft crammed into one if those little bubbles too so maybe he had more than his share of noise too?

Shooting with the general public can be exciting enough as it is, I'm personally glad that most ranges won't let John Q Public practice yanking their gats out of their clipped on uncle Mikes with me and my family in the next lane. "Rapid fire" rules do suck for those of us who are capable of both walking AND talking at the same time, but it is what it is.

Picatinny Rail too long.....hacksaw?
TrickyNicky replied to leftyk82's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Agreed. I got a Dremel as teenager and if anything I did during those years counts for anything today, I can wield a cutoff wheel with authoritay. ;) I'm having hard time picturing the problem though, is the actual scope itself that's hitting the rail, or the lens cover or what? Second, is the rail got some kind of unique mounting scheme or hole pattern? Short sections of weaver rail are cheap, in fact I have more than I need if it could work for you. Any chance of some pics of the issue? -
I will say to check out the Benelli Novas. There is or was one on here for $350 that was a lot of gun for the money. It has a few cool features that you won't find elsewhere, but you don't need to use any if them if you don't want too and your still left with a great gun.

S&W Airweight Hand Spring Install
TrickyNicky replied to sigbrown1297's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Spring hill to greenbriar is a lot cheaper in time and gas than a new gun, I bet Jeff at guns and leather can help you out. -
Sig better hurry up with some kind of offering on their vaporware whatchacallit from 2-3 years ago if they want there to be much of a market left... It's a little pricey, but that is a great looking gun, especially with the brace attached. As to the reviewer, he's well respected in the firearm blog world.

Flat black with the Glock logo in white or red would be sweet...

I'm picky about only a few things, but generally fish, tomatoes(whole or sliced), mayonnaise, and mushrooms are deal breakers. I'll eat tripe or tongue on rare occasion and enjoy it, but these fried giblets so many like are not for me. There are other things I know instantly I'm going to hate, and since becoming an adult I just won't try it unless it's one of a handful of people asking who just won't give up. Then I'll eat a minuscule amount since I know it won't kill me and for some reason I'll never fully understand, it satisfies something in them to see me eat food I hate. sometimes it's easier to just humor them.

I'm having a hard time with mine. I feel like I know just enough about him to really open some doors, but for some reason it hasn't clicked yet where I should focus my attention.

Bushnell AR Optics 4.5-18x40mm BDC Reticle
TrickyNicky replied to btq96r's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I have one and I'm happy with it for the almost double I spent. This is a great scope for this price. Jump on it for sure, there are better out there but if you want that level of magnification for a budget this is going to be very hard to beat. -
Wow JAB, I'm late to the thread but very sorry for your troubles and really hoping that everything stayed local to one area so they can scoop it out and get you up and rocking again. Best if luck also with the cardiologist, it's Funny how just about anything from a knee to a neck injury can affect that all important muscle. We'll be keeping you and your family in our thoughts.

Doesn't sound like the crowd is rowdy enough to do more than just kind of direct them along. It's an odd time to be doing it, but so far no vandalism or violence that I've heard.

I thought I heard a wooshing sound over head when I first read that...

Just got my giftee's info. Now to go stalk 4-5 members so they can't tell who it actually is...

Nickel boron BCG cheeeeeeep
TrickyNicky replied to Dustbuster's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I've got two AIM BCG, that one and the nitride and they're both excellent. Consistent finish and perfect staking, everything you'd expect from a great BCG. -
Sorry for your loss Metalhead. :(

If it comes out in .357 with fixed sights it would be perfect. I'm really wanting one now, but I'll hold out and see if they accommodate my desires...

Advice doesn't get much better than this, call the owner and let him know your beef and see if you guys can get right on the whole thing. If he cares about his shop he will at least give you the apology you deserve and maybe better.

Congrats. I put off building lowers for months because it seemed so complicated, then one day I just sat down with a video and was done in about 45 minutes with plenty of rewinds and pauses searching for the right spring and detent. Next one was much faster with the video playing almost as background noise and the last one I built in about 1/2 hour chatting in the chat room here. It gets easier, even the pivot pin detent and and mag release pin, though if you ever build one with a threaded pin for the mag release you'll find anything else crude in comparison :D .
