  1. This. It shouldn't need much to take down the abrasives to where it won't rub holes in you pockets. One other tip if you wear nicer slacks, a tailor should be able to sew in some leather patches to the inside of the pockets. Should work fine for heavier slacks like khakis not sure about lighter weight ones though.

Lol I have an east Nashville rig so I know exactly how you feel! I like your grandpas .22, is that one of the ones that can be fired double and single action? I know it's modeled after the Colt SA but as I understand some of those older rimfire models actually do both.
  3. I find it hilarious that people want to keep marijuana criminalizes "for the children". What happens when your child doesn't take your parental advice? (what? No way!) As it sits right now we can effectively ruin young people's lives FOREVER for having even a small amount of pot on them. The pot prohibition is broken and has been since its inception. As to the worry that next the hippies will rally over another substance, I can't fathom how someone would make the choice to deny freedoms to his fellow man on that pretext, and make no mistake, that's exactly and all any prohibition does, eliminate freedom. I'm glad you'll be diligently working to keep us in the dark ages, I'll be working just as hard to cancel out that effort.
  4. I'd be tempted to see if they'd let you send it in. I bet they'd either re barrel it, figure out what it is, or replace it before letting it leave without an answer. I'm surprised the former owner wasn't able to give some insight even if only a box of ammo or something.
  5. 10 here in Nashville according to the iphone. It's going to dip down even lower to about 7 or so before dawn. I better put out some kind of shelter for the complex cats that are roaming around. I saw some younger ones a few weeks ago and it would be a rough night to be outside.
  6. Let's see, my personal "favorites" include but certainly are not limited too: 1.Anything with a scope on it being called a sniper rifle. 2. Being asked which rifles are "automatic". 3. "The AR 15 fires a round so powerful it has no legitimate sporting use." 4. "The AK47 fires a round so powerful it has no legitimate sporting use." 5. Any comparison of the 7.62x39 to the 5.56x45 beyond both being small intermediate cartridges. 6. Pretty much any sheepdog reference. People aren't dogs. Not everyone who chooses not to carry is a "sheep". 7. That someone's nephews friends father had a smatter of LE or military experience which automatically making them an authority on all things firearms. 8.High round count used Glocks are worth more than new ones because they have extra magazines and are proven reliable.
  7. I agree 100% but this guy wasn't in any more danger of being a punching bag than I am of winning Miss America. He tried getting thuggish, she called him on it, and he taught her not to assume so much. Surely a lot to talk over the next day at Denny's over eggs and toast, but for the night he would have and should have ended up in a heap.
  8. My 1-4 should be here tomorrow. I doubt I'll be able to get any traction on the rebate with Bushnell, but I plan to try for ships and grins anyway. If they cough up the rebate it will mean the 1-4 and PEPR for less than the mount itself. :x: even without it these were some sweet deals so I'm happy either way.
  9. What a bunch of pussies. She was being a brat for sure, but there would have been a serious ass stomping happening at 1:30 when we were growing up. Period. "Please leave on that note" what an ass.
  10. I wish I could like even just this bit 10 more times!
  11. Welcome aboard Mrs.monkey  ! I suppose we should class up our act a bit with more ladies present. Where'd I put that top hat...
  12. This could work for me at least most weeks. It would be good to meet up you guys and put some more faces to names.
  13. Fairly normal I'd say. I placed an order Xmas eve and just received a shipment notice from UPS. According to PSA my order is still processing and most likely will be for weeks after my order is actually in hand. I've had to contact them maybe 2-3 times for different reasons and I'd say they are one of the hardest companies to get ahold of, BUT dispite not returning call or emails they are good at addressing issues internally where it counts most.
  14. I put down nice to have. It doesn't put into words exactly how I feel, but it's close enough. ;) I've never yet based a purchasing decision off the matter, but at the end if the day I'd say it's really not a positive or a negative, it's a feature. The only real exception I can think of are with smaller CCW where you might not want one due to width/ shape. I haven't jumped on my first 1911 yet, but I suspect when I do it will be a more traditional looking example without a rail, but then again I have to admit that I wouldn't let one be a deal breaker either under the right circumstance. I see the value in a weapon light, but I've never felt like I personally needed one.
  15. Looks like these guys have a handle on parts, not what I'd call cheap, but when you look at the big picture it's not all that bad I suppose. Definetly doused a bit of cold water on my "need" though. :D
  16. Of :wall: all :wall: the :wall: times :wall: to :wall: be :wall: broke! :wall: :wall: :wall:
  17. At this point guys it might not make any sense for any one relative to own these, nonetheless split amongst an entire family. In today's economy the remaining Keith's could be facing any number of financial situations that would warrant a sale. If no other reason, as hard as it may be to believe, collectables like this live in a bubble. While Mr. Kieth has fans of all walks and ages, the bottom line is his strongest fan base is currently reaching into their retirement years with money to spend and a healthy enough interest in his stuff to do so. While these pieces will ALWAYS be sought after, the market for them likely won't get any stronger than it is right now barring a miraculous safe of the economy soon. I hope they bring top dollar and the former owners enjoy their new fortune and the new owners will at least let these pieces see the light of day for us pions to enjoy once in a while as well, if even from afar.
  18. FTFY. The part I'm still trying to wrap my head around is that an anti gun group would encourage a pro gun group to chastise pro gun celebrities for working with a pro gun organization. WTF! I propose a change of name to MDMA to reflect what they must be smoking down at mad mom HQ.
  19. Me either, but of course that doesn't stop me from trying...
  20. Knock em out of the game and they just might get replaced with "someone competent against guns". I'm more than happy to see a non effective joke of an organization taking Bloomers money. They most likely spend more of their time and resources protecting their Facebook page then anything so I say good riddance, let em have their fun. They're not nearly as bad for gun owners PR as some gun owners are.
  21. Yeah, love the joke and execution, but wtf is with people poking the bear on this one? :ugh:
