  1.     All very true, but that doesn't mean theres a good reason for not having an active R&D team. Now I'm sure Glock has an R&D team, I'm also sure it's one of the easier gigs in the industry.    "Hey Tom, will .357 magnum work in one of our guns?"   "No Gunter, it won't."   "Soooo, make more 19s?"   "Yup"   "Bonuses and strippers for everyone!"     Seriously though, I do think you nailed it, Glock reminds me a bit of a friendlier H&K.
  2. At least the wait times are getting better for paper filing. Just picked up a form 4 can the other week ago and took right at about 6 months. Much better than the year plus I was anticipating.
  3. I wanted a G19 for a long time to compliment my sub2k but my thoughts on them have cooled significantly. Gaston really did come up with a great design, but they seem very set on their business model of providing full and mid size striker fired pistols. :snore: "Glock; We're committed to resting on our laurels! "
  4. Glad to hear it buddy. It was really a let down to hear that everything had gone south during your last operation. Glad the new Drs are working out and sounds like they really care if they're sourcing unique procedures rather just just running with the first thought they come up with. 3-4 days sounds like a good recovery time frame too  We'll be keeping you in our thoughts, thanks for the update.
  5. I'm really glad this ended as well as it did. Looks like Foster is a big dude, even without bringing a gun into play its fortunate no one got hurt. Glad I don't have Facebook, I'm sure having an account would only lead to wasting time reading morons on Facebook.
  6. What kind of range are you looking to shot o? Any budget? I'm happy with Vortex red dots for range use and think they'd be fine for HD as well if thats your thing. I've also got a few Bushnell AR scopes and have been happy with them to date as well, though one just showed up today so...    Theres good options out there for <$200
  7. Hey it gets cold here, I needs am beard to keep my neck warm! The roundness I think comes from chiken fried steak sammiches, that must be it. :ugh:
  8. Yeah I loves me some SA revolvers. Only have one for now, but I can see at least a rimfire joining the clubhouse here sometime too. Like Mike, my SA is laser beam accurate, but I wouldn't pick it as a carry weapon and I doubt many if the competitors do either, though some surely could. Even with a newyork reload, to many things to go wrong with getting a SA ready to fire, then once it's cocked you generally have a very short light trigger just begging to go off. Couple that with adrenin and nerves and I'd be as likely to shoot myself as a BG  .
  9. I've never wanted to start a twitter account until just this very second. Anyone here able to pass this message along?
  10. If you had 4-5 vettes and could build a new one over a 6 pack for $400. ;)     I say why not? It's theirs and their having fun with it. It's nice to see people taking their gear to the edge now and then.
  11. Thats an awesome deal for a brick and mortar store. It's a bit out of my neck of the woods, but all the good things you guys have to say is starting to make me think about heading down anyway.
  12. I haven't got a CZ pistol yet. I did get a chance to get a 75 B SA all sweaty and fingerprinted a week or two back though, really sweet piece. I get why you all are so attached to them, it was a gorgeous pistol and felt like a natural pointer to me. If I didn't have a few too many things brewing as is I would be sorely tempted to snag it up.
  13. Anyone else not get their scope yet? I sent an email to PSA and they offered to upgrade me to the illuminated model at no charge, or. Give me my money back. I went with the upgrade of course  . Good on them for going I'd say above and beyond taking care of me, but in case anyone else's hasn't shipped yet, send them an email and see what's up. This was for the 1-4 w/ pepr mount deal BTW.
  14. CCI mini mag is considered by many to be the benchmark so to speak. If you're looking for high velocity stuff also check out the Aguila hyper velocity stuff too. I've got a decent supply off Nashville armory, but may be a but if a trip if your be not already coming into Nashville.
  15. Coming right up. I hope you guys are able to have a good open conversation with a satisfying resolution for you both. Spiritual matters are tough to talk about sometimes but even when to loved ones disagree it's almost always worth the talk at least. Also maintain your faith in a positive outcome, like Hipower said, things aren't always as bad as they seem and there is still hope.
  16. How's the song go, "I ain't got no money, but I damn sure have got it made..." If I ever have kids they better appreciate guitars and guns cause that's 9.91/10ths of the inheritance
  17. That was a well thought out, reasonable response. I applaud CC on his professionalism and giving us an insight to the event that I know I glossed over. That said, still gayer than a Nashville guitar player dressed like Taylor Swift  .
  18. My dad handed me a loaded gun this morning, I didn't shoot myself. :ugh: if I had I wouldn't have blamed him, neither would he!
  19. Interesting. No prices that jumped out at me, but I didn't get all the way down the list either. I do guess it shows what a 180 availability has done on all this stuff. I would really like to see what kind of pricing they could get on things like BCG , but it would probably take their own foundry to supply all their stores.
  20. I had to use one of the spacers as well on mine. The instructions said it was rare to need them, but that's 3 for 3. Not a biggie anyway, I'd just go ahead and throw one on at first and see if it doesn't work righ off.
  21. Now don't start along that path HP, your likely to tempt ME, and we all know what a rock I am...
  22. I would love to have a Rhino, but they are proud if them for sure. As to the Calicos... Don't tempt me, they've been on the List a long time, my buddies dad has 4 of them and they are ever neat. Not too pricey either. Actually, funny this comes up, I'm going back and forth between the M&P shield and the 3" LCRx right now. Will head over to the LGS tomorrow and let fate decide I suppose, I could really go either way at this point.
  23. One thing to consider with the reliability aspect that may, or may not be worth rumination, I've yet to have a quality semi auto stop working after a few 3-5 hundred rounds. The same can not be said for most any revolver I own. Like Clod says too, if you do have an issue it won't won't be something you'll be able to tap rack boom your way out of. I like both styles, I have no idea what ratio semis to revolvers I own, but I have more revolvers I'd trust my life to than I do semis. Of course this mainly speaks to my compulsion for odd guns than it does anything else.
  24. Hi John, nice chatting with you earlier  .
