Yeah yeah! Only instead of books I want a rack of Mosins that opens up to a vault door. No one would think to look for the gun safe behind the guns now would they?
-
I only wish the background was a delicious pizza so I could be offended too.

Hot stuff is basically branded CA aka super glue. Nothing wrong with that and hot stuff is one of the few people who sell bottles big enough to appeal to the hobbyist. Can we get a pic? It would help to see the crack. Can it be spread by way of clamping the stock with something like a towel underneath the crack and applying another clamp on the other end? whichever way you go make sure and clean and dry the area well ahead of time. For a buck or two at most any craft store you can get a mini suction cup which is useful for pushing wood glue into thin cracks. Works like a plunger and really drives it in there.

Nice! I didn't realize that you where this close to owning one when it came up the other night. Looks like a great build and the round sounds about right for TN hunting from what little I know of each. Looking forward to a range report.

1 live round of every caliber ever made or one live example of every round? The first would be huge, the second would probably make Jerry Miculeks ammo shelf look puny in comparison. Staggering might be the right word. :D

Never heard of them, they sure look nice though and I would say it is somewhat of a good sign to see they are carried by JBO. I got a no name rail of Amazon or ebay last year and it was basically worthless, I would definitely feel better buying from someone vested in the industry like Joe Bobs. Let us know if you get it, I am definitely interested in a review.

Same. Doubly so for anything involving the Irish Mob, some interesting stories to be told I'm betting. I bet it's good, Whitey was a vicious killer and Depp is a great actor.

Now that would be sweet. I shudder at the idea of what just a bank vault door would cost even second hand, but the idea of a vault door on a reinforced subterranean room has crossed my mind. Sort of like what I imagine your brother has going on, but with a less robust door. At a certain point I think you have to sleep well at night knowing insurance is going to cover any loss and you've made the job unduly difficult for the SOB trying to take your stuff.

Snack bar and the pharmacy are open to whoever I believe. Didn't Costco get posted a couple a three years back after some yayhoo got himself shot? I thought they did but I could be wrong. They have roll up doors that are always rolled up when I go so even if they were posted I'm not sure where I should be looking and not looking too hard at that.

Great advice from Red IMO. Anyone who has seen professionals deliver a safe knows how easy it is with the right tools and knowledge. Very easy. I have a dream of building (or rather, having built) my own home one day. One of the many features I've wasted time thinking about is how to get a safe delivered, installed, and THEN have a closet framed around it with a door too small to fit the safe through. It would be there forever, but hey it's the home of my dreams. I would encourage OP to have a consultation with a pro company and see if they can spot a better place to put it than the garage if at all possible.

Pizza and hot dog lunch is just as good and cheap at Costco my man. It's where the flavor lives, er or values. It's where the values live.

That's a great idea. It will be far too heavy to move full, but if you use a good portion of the water near where you put it, you would have a mobile watering can capable of holding just as much water as you can move.

Dude where you at? I can come by on a weekend and we can get it done over a 6er. Shoot me a PM, at least if I run off with the beer you're only out like $9.00

Agreed on Street Survivors, probably my favorite Skynyrd album next to Pronounced. I really like this cover of Honky Tonk Night Time Man. Really just clean professional playing, the guys doing what they do. I remember reading there was a guest guitar player doing some slide work on it, one of their buddies IIRC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URzFZqMW_2s&list=PL-w1scsQWbsDsYWj7yZeht5LbpaZdVq-z A cool funky kind of number that always makes me smile. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9d37kT1bOw&list=PL-w1scsQWbsDsYWj7yZeht5LbpaZdVq-z&index=9 And of course Steve Gaines getting to show his stuff. What a gift. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8pPb-QbzQ8&index=8&list=PL-w1scsQWbsDsYWj7yZeht5LbpaZdVq-z

HELP, New to State and Wanting to Buy first firearm
TrickyNicky replied to leprechaun's topic in Handguns
Could be SOP for the home based FFL guys? I've never engaged their services so I wouldn't know, but I've not been charged anything but the $10 TICS since leaving Ca where they do charge about $35 or so IIRC with $10 going to the state and up to $25 going to the dealer. *Only exception to that would be for the few items shipped into an FFL like the TGO receiver set and the like. Even then I did that through D&T and they only charged us what, $15? -
Agree. I used to have credit cards from guitar center and another big music store and the interest was ridiculous, I want to say 25% or more lol. The ONLY saving grace to the cards was that there was no minimum payment required so long as the balance was paid in full within 12 months. I was able to make that work for me several times to get items I wouldn't have been able to drop cash for at the time. I just made sure I wasn't getting in over my head and payed the cards off before buying anything else fun and had no issue. With my credit limit at the time I couldn't get into too much trouble anyway.

I like Aguila rimfire a lot. They offer a lot of varieties and so far for me have been about on par with CCI reliability wise. Who else makes a 60 grain .22? :D They do have a bit of a special stink to them lol. Not bad but definitely different from what we are used to. Faintly sweet and ammonia-ish. Maybe it's a lack of sulphur that we are NOT smelling? This requires further testing... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Mr8VoqJICY

Dremel 8220-1/28 12-Volt Max Cordless Rotary Tool
TrickyNicky replied to GlockSpock's topic in General Chat
Cordless is the one you buy AFTER you already own a regular corded model. You buy it because you already know how useful a dremel is, but cords are a drag. Remember when phones needed them? Wasn't that during Hitlers size to power? Need I say more? So cords are a drag and you buy yourself the handier battery powered model for convenience. Then 6 years later you find it while cleaning out junk for goodwill and realize you've grabbed your reliable corded model EVERYTIME you've needed a dremel for the past 6 years. Infuriated you decide things are going to change, you work hard for your money and you'll be damned if you'll just sit there and waste it. Now, to find the batteries. Now to realize they're shot after 6 years of sitting, go to buy replacements, realize dremel hasn't made that model or therefore batteries for it in 3 years. Invariably at this time the salesman who informs you of this will misread your grim, stoic silence as an invitation to try to sell you on they're latest and greatest cordless model* while all you really want to do is count the ways you could have spent that money on something worth a damn, like say 75 candy bars, or maybe 73 candy bars and a pepsi. So unless you like wasting time and money, just buy the corded model. *Heres an honest version of the pitch. "Heres the new cordless version sir. It may not be faster or as powerful." You'll be waiting around for a solid 3 minutes before you release thats it, thats the pitch. -
Martin Scorsese Hits On New Plan To Stop Gun Violence....? Seriously?

Meh, he makes good movie. I'll keep letting that particular monkey dance for my spare change awhile longer. -
You should be ashamed Chuck. 3 panels and not one seat belt. What kind of message are you trying to promote here anyway?
